A grown man like me in his 40's cried during the lead up to the final boss because it closed the story on your journey! I wish I could start it over with a fresh clear mind from the story line because it was sooo epic! The second best best story in gaming history to me behind FF6 (JP) FF3 (USA) storyline!
You guys are kidding right? This is the laziest story expansion out of the bunch. Shadowbringers had plot holes but had a good complex antagonist. The help from Zeno's was expected, predicted him helping back when he first appeared. Then after zodiark we get an extra enemy out of nowhere. The end of days was never our story to experience or deal with. That was the ascians story so throwing that on is really unoriginal especially since they did they same thing in ff9.
Enjoy the expansion. It has a most fulfilling conclusion to this 10 year story journey. The question about the battle on the moon has actually been foreshadowed in past expansions. Think back to the story of Hydaelyn & Zodiark's battle. :) Also, going to the moon is a major plot point from Final Fantasy IV and this expansion is drawing A LOT from that game for references and influences. You'll also meet the best damn NPCs of all time during this expansion. =3
I love watching players react to this trailer but to this date no one really has a reaction to 00:45 it's really one of the biggest scene out the gate that acknowledges everything we found out about ourselves in Shadowbringers. It shows us this and rest of the trailer shows how we move forward with it Anyways hope you enjoy Endwalker in all it's glory and fun!!
How did so many people in chat get the narrator wrong? Holy crap, he has such a iconic voice and way of speaking, I knew as soon as the first word was out XD Also, post EW, it was nice to see old reactions, the excitement and wonder, and to just say "It's a trip, that's for sure". Hope you enjoyed it greatly!
I always love going back to people watching the reveal of this trailer from the Fanfest because they got SO UPSET with that shot panning around the chair and then flipping to Thancred because we knew Zenos was getting a class/weapon change, but we didn't know what he'd be. So when it goes back to him after Y'shtola, people lost their crap at seeing the scythe. It's fun to see that reaction and compare it to those who are watching after 5.5/.55 and will have seen him wielding the scythe in game before seeing the trailer.
I myself have just dove into Endwalker After procrastinating for ages a wee chunk into it and man its crazy enjoy the ride cause the way its looking gonna be the most insane expansion yet

The cape flip before the moon reveal is very cool. Capes exist for moments like that.

I'm a 41 year old man and I cried during my first trek through Sharlyan with Alphinaud and Alisae (sp) also my cry count with like 5 times during MSQ.
FFXIV might be my favorite story in gaming period.

We, as humans, went to the moon 50 years ago. Yet this game got us hype as if no one has ever been there before.
