What was Pinasco thinking not doing a boost port? I just don't get it. Pinasco also needs to increase their head technology. . . their competitor VMC is killing it these days. on the upside, glad to see a decent piston used.
me neither. the case (acc to pictures in shops) even does have a port forseen, so why is the cylinder one closed?!? its not always easy to understand pinasco if you focus on technology.... yes, VMC fires the competition very well. q back: what do you define as decent. is the comparison level up (meteor) or down (latest pinasco pistons, ie need of t5 162cc exchange for free as they are cracking) can a 251cc piston be "decent" if its lighter than the weak cracking famous asso piston 207-213? it has 4,5mm roof, no cooling rips VS meteor M244 8mm (also no cooling rips) VS asso piston 5mm roof thickness, also known for getting a roof dent. yes it will do the job. no its not appropiate for a 700,- cylinderkit (also the missing real boost port) but not really surprising in the end. it will do the job, but i would just recommend low end tuning with this cylinderkit, NO! reed valve with a lot of power.
I'm guessing that the boost port lines up with the windows in the piston so you can still pull from the case. So it's not fake it's just taking a harder turn, still interesting.
but not real either, so i call it fake ports. why at this cylinder? not explainable, as there is enough meat at the case, on the pictures they even show the third port in the pinasco case, but hide the fake port of the 251, like with the 2 fake port stoneage 213cc pinasco, a simple 200cc original copy in alu, which is still sold... ua-cam.com/video/_7-m6egJhT4/v-deo.html

not for the engine owner, a friend of mine. the problem with t5 is, that only few tuning parts are available and most of them are very old. just having 3 fat ports, doesnt mean that there is decent power. so the decision was: why not doubling the cc and use the 251. do you mean cylinders? engine cases? no, not the worb. its not possible to exactly set cylinder timings, if you only have the cylinder. you do need the engine case of course. Check the level of the liner against the top of the barrel. I needed to have it machined as it protruded a small amount and caused an air leak
thanks for the tip. it was the same at the bfa 306: the cylinder needed to be turned down on top and bottom.

It is a 251cc for 150 Crankcase ? What does it need? 110mm conrod? 60mm crankshaft?
its a t5 cylinder and needs a 115mm conrod

yes. i trust more the good old original cases. they do have to be turned out. if gasket or not is needed i will then see.
