@@MichiganGardenGal don't know if you'll see this but I was wondering about that, if you should have maybe started with root either by taking it from the plant itself or by starting the root from the clipping by wrapping up in a damp paper towel and in a plastic bag open and sitting it in the sun checking it daily and if you get roots that way then planting. Or by starting it in a glass of water to start roots, and then planting.
How is your peony cutting doing from the other video a few months ago? Has it taken root? 😉

Never saw an update if the peony propagation worked.
It didn’t work 😭. I was so bummed out. If you do try it make sure to dig up part of the root. That worked perfect when I tried it.

Peonies don’t liked to be messed around with so I don’t know how your take part of the root if it’s established.

I just read below it didn't take. I wonder if instead of planting in soil you tried water. Propagating sedum in water works great.
