New bike reveal - BMW K1300S Motorsport Edition

- Here is our new bike!
It was decided to sell the S1000RR a few months ago so after spending hours and hours trying to find the worthy successor for RR, we narrowed down to this bike... 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport Edition! It comes with Akrapovic (finally!), quickshifter, HP adjustable footpegs, forged alloy wheels, few carbon fiber bits and the traditional BMW motorsport colour scheme along with electronic suspension, stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, heated grips etc.

Interesting choice coming from the RR. I always loved the looks of the K1300S, that rear wheel is one of the best looking in any motorcycle.
Well the XR was a really close competitor but its fully upright posture and ADV styling is what made me go for this. R1200RS was out of question, I am not old enough to ride boxer engines hehe! And yea man, I too always loved the looks of it but its not for everyone :) And sadly the rear wheel is quite covered by exhaust and doesnt stand out like on a ducati.
So when's the walkaround video coming? I'm already waiting 9 months!
Haha, thanks for waiting man! Actually sorry for making you wait :) I havent even recorded a walkaround video, but now that you mention it, I certainly will. I have lots of footages from trips btw but never got around to edit them. Maybe I will start working on it one of these days :)

That bike looks really great. I tested the f800r and the s1000r couple of weeks ago. But this bike wasn't available for a test ride. Hope I can ride in the future because if you look at it... you really want to ride it, haha.

Dank je wel Striple :) Glad you liked the bike so much! The reason you didnt see it for test ride is because they stopped production since 2016 so only 2nd hand bikes are available, which kind of makes it limited edition :P How did you find the S1000R compared to Striple?
The s1000r is a great bike, but a like the ergonomics and the sound and the looks of the speed more. On the bmw you lean a little bit more forward compared the speed. It gives you more a race feeling. It's a great bike... but they are both awesome :).
When I tested the S1000R, it felt quite upright coming from my RR :D And the Triumph triple exhaust note is always sweet to listen to.. Both are awesome for sure :)

I know I'm quite late, but awesome video! Since I'm considering buying one, I would be really interested in the riders (your) size/hight. I'm 6.3" and wondering if the bike would fit me...
Thanks Julian. I am 5 8" so I may not be the best person to answer your question :) but from what I have read, it should be comfortable for you. Also, are you considering the motorsport edition? Then it comes with adjustable footpegs (6 positions to adjust). The stock windshield works well for me, but you might have to get a different one. The only downside about the bike for me is the weight which you will feel while parking/pushing around, it would have been easier to manage if I was a couple inches taller :) Apart from that, its such a joy every time I take it out!

Great video. I currently have a S1000R and a KTM Superduke 1290R. So I will be selling them for an S1000RR or the K1300S, I don't know which one...
Thanks mate! And those are two awesome bikes you have! As for RR or K13S, you should test ride both and see how you like them.. one is a raw aggressive animal, other is a gentle giant :) In my case, pillion comfort and touring capabilities made me go for it.

Awesome choice. After selling my 1250 GSA due to realizing I want to do all my riding on the street and tour fast this was my next option as well. I considered the 1250RS but the four cylinder won. It's a timeless model design with features to keep you comfortable for miles on end. Great presentation by the way.
