All BMW bikes have alloys, none have steel rims. The more expensive are the forged wheels, the cheaper ones are cast aluminium alloy. Forged rims are made in a different way to cast rims. Casting is an ancient technology using most often sand as a mould. (It’s actually a little more complicated than just making a mould out of sand.) Forging is generally when pressure is applied to a heated metal block. Think of the way a Japanese Samurai Katana blade is made. By repeated pressure from a hammer the molecular structure changes. The benefit is that forged wheel rims are lighter and stronger than cast aluminium alloy wheels. It’s actually more likely that the HP version had the forged wheels (generally a £1500 - £2000 BMW factory option). The newer model has the cast ones. They were the same as my K1200S. While we’re on the subject of nonsense, the front of the K1200S (R and GT) and the K1300S, and K1600 GT (GTL/B/GA) all use what BMW call the DUOLEVER, not the Telelever as you called it. It’s actually two solid forks which are attached to a DOUBLE wishbone (not single as you stated) with a coil spring and damper all electronically controlled (at the rear too). The advantage of the DUOLEVER is it separates braking forces from steering forces. What this translates as into riding is simply demonstrated by pulling the brakes in a corner. On a normal bike, like a ZX14-R and the older S1000RR (pronounced Double R) if you pull the brakes in a corner, the bike will stand up and the turning circle will increase. Do it on a K bike with DUOLEVER, and the bike slows and goes round the corner on the same radius before braking. Nowadays, BMW pioneered cornering ABS which is fitted to virtually all their bikes whether K or S, or R. It’s a great video you posted, but it’s always best not to say anything when you’re not sure. There’s an old saying, that my dad used to use: “it’s better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and dispel all doubt”.
Correction to your statement. Pre 2015 K1300S bikes come with cast aluminum wheels and NOT steel wheels. The difference is that the forged AL wheels are 2.5 pounds lighter that the cast wheels and far more stiff and robust.
thank you 650ib, a very good made presentation about the K 1300 S. I've found no better one till now 👍 I'm owner of a 2011-model blue white black coloured, which I bought in 2017. It's history is very special : first owner was a BMW Motorcycle- engineer, who had a K 1200 frame on which he built up this K 1300 machine. It has two more buttons to switch into a higher race mode ( 😱 which i do not use very often ) The second owner is a pilot flying a military Airbus A400 M. He sold it to me because his girlfriend wanted more comfort under her popo and he bought himself a new BMW K 1600. As I asked him half a year later how he loves his new bike he told me, that he regrets having sold this "unique" bike Although it is not a HP ( high performance ) model it has many parts of it : front wheel cover , tank- cover and footrest protectors are HP Carbon. Exhaust is a titanium Akra, Dashboard is the D2 HP instrument. the footresters are KP, the forkbridge and the handlebar is a LSL superbike hdlbr and the mirrors sit on 1inch high rubberblocks to let them come wider and higher out. As I started driving it there were rdbt. 63.000 km's on it and until today I've driven it to rdbt 98.000 km's. A very lucky factor is my mechanic. He did learn his Job at BMW and he does his job very very good. He's not the cheapest, but he ist 1000% correct and reliable. He also drives every december d on spanish racetracks. I am meanwhile 62 years old, am 1,70 m large an me and my K treat us very loveful like a happy couple 😍🏍 😅 lovely greets from bavaria in germany 🏁🤗💞🇺🇸
One of the best videos Ive ever seen on UA-cam. I have a K1200S and the R8 is one of my favorite automobiles so this video was spot on! Also the music was a perfect choice. Job well done my friend.....
Last August (08/2018) I did what we call “Iron Butt”, which is 1000 miles in (less than) 24 hours, on my 2011 K1300S. It is an amazing sport-touring (!) motorcycle. With all due respect, but I wonder if anyone would even attempt to pull off something like that on Busa... Thanks for the review.
I did an Iron Butt 1000 last year on my Honda Blackbird. 1999 model with 70000 miles & it didn't miss a beat. That said, a couple of lads did it on Honda Monkey bikes and another on an R1, so I reckon my 'bird was pretty comfy in comparison! 🤣
Looking to go back to the K13S. I had an eleven model tri-color. Dope bike but had a clutch repair at 8K. Passed me off after $1,500 repair bill. And I babied the clutch most of the time. Traded in for a new wet head RT. That bike is fast and comfy with XM radio. I shred Bear Mountain in NY with it. This video renewed my passion for this bike. It's expensive as hell to repair but damn it so checks all my motorbike boxes in high fashion and style. Keep up the awesome vids ib.
Lol the race against the 14r was funny. Got a friend on a 08 Busa that tried to race against one and he said the exact same words as you did lol. He was like "man I didn't expect that bike to beat me that bad etc." The Busa you raced looked like the first gen model. Like an 1999 2007 model which has low power. At least compared to the bikes in today world. Awesome video.
have a 08k1200s and a 12 k1300s loaded with the toys. i've ridden all types of bikes and nothing cracks a smile as much as either one of those 2 bikes.
Finally someone's compared the 3 kings. Well done. The K1300S feels nicer to ride around town, the 14R & Busa gets going past 7000rpm. I own a 14r but had to get it chipped
As I watched completely through the video and came up to the little speed test you did with the Kawasaki I got to point out that even though the Kawasaki is faster yes of course but it’s really not all about the fastest bike. Some bikes just feel fantastic even if they’re not the fastest bike so thumbs up to the BMW. And I might add I’ve got a Z x1400r
Great video! I'm all ZX-14... The K1300 is nice ( except for the high pitched exhaust whine ) First time I rode the ZX-14... (2009) I fell in love with it. Better all around bike ( for me ) But I do like that shaft-drive though.
Nice Video! I have the K1300S Anniversary edition that is outfitted like the HP and the 2015 less the forged wheels. Love this bike. It's a shame that BMW didn't market them better. I think there would be many more on the street bike scene. I'm also very fond tot the ZX-14R. I'm assuming the benefit of having the shaft drive is also the reason that limits performance mods on this bike. However, it's plenty fast for me. Looking forward to more of your videos Bruh!
LOVE my K1300S. This from a previous Gen II Busa owner and Kawi For Life Fan - Boy! Mine's been modded in every way, (I have several vids of it on my Channel) and am really curious how it would have done against that 14. Regardless, it is a 'Gentleman's Bullet Bike', not a street brawler, Classy, Comfy, Shaft Drive, Quick Shift, ABS/TC AND fully electronic adjustable suspension - AND it has detachable hard bags! They are all Winners in their own way. And you can NEVER go wrong watching a 6501b Vid for sure~!!
Thanks man and you probably would have spanked me on your Busa, LOL! I don't think the K1300S is geared for short races. It might be geared for top end.
Loved the video, but you're missing the point by limiting it to a few acceleration runs. This bike will eat the other two on a winding road or the track. Not as track-oriented as the top liter bikes, but I've ridden my 08 K1200S 900 miles straight. Try riding 700 miles, at night, in the mountains of Europe and you'll have a much better sense of what it's all about. This K13S slots directly between an S1000RR and a Busa or ZX14 in terms of power and handling. Plus, it's just way cool. The front end is amazing, but my K1600GT needs ball joints, which will require disassembling the whole front end. Watch for that video soon! Love all your stuff. Stay safe!
Great video. perfect content for me anyway as i am looking at these bikes now trying to decide. right now i haven't found anything that can top the 14R, just a brilliant fricken bike.
Zx14 all the way. I own one and it does everything well. It’s got more presence than the busa and gets more attention. Also much more rare than the busa.
Nice review. I'm crossing over from cruisers and I've been looking at the K1300S really hard for a while now. It's one of my bucket list things. I'm a big guy so the "big 3" are the ones I have been interested in; ZX14, Busa, and K13. I don't really fit on anything else. I love the looks of the ZX14 but the seating position isn't as comfortable, and as one person said, the K13 is more of a gentelman's bike. The Busa just doesn't call to me. I know a lot of guys who split hairs when it comes to lean angle, top speed, etc but if that is the focus, then it really is irrelevant to street riding within the confines of safety and the law. That's more of a track discussion I think. But, that is just personal opinion. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your review and it's one of the better ones I have found as far as detailing the features on the K1300S. There doesn't seem to be a lot of current reviews on the BMW. Thank you.
My pleasure! You'll appreciate heated grips and the refined 'feel' of the K1300S. It's more comfortable than the ZX14R but not quite as fast. There's less maintenance required for the shaft drive as compared to a chain driven bike. The quick shifter is AWESOME! Thanks for viewing and commenting an let me know which bike you choose.
The K1300S is built for comfort. It is a gentlemen's bike. Still awesome to look at though. And to answer your question the BMW is better looking than the Kwaka. I may be biased though :p
I prefer a cbr 1000rr or gxsr or a bmw s1000 I think they look much better. And yea I thought it was more of a cruising bike. Thanks for answering my question.
LOL! They both look amazing but the K1300S has the advantage with the single side swing arm and rear end. The ZX14R has a better front end and side fairings.
Another nice vid Ibsabur. Love that back road you take. As for me the 14R is it. I'll recommend the Beemer to a friend who's wife doesn't want him going to fast. (lol)
Many Thanks KBowling58! I think most people would be more than satisfied with the overall performance of the K1300S. But there are some that would desire more top end power from it. Thanks for viewing and commenting!
Great Episode and Edit ib !!! A lil'bit of everything in this One !!! ;) I saw that KS'15 yesterday at the Phx IMS & that paint scheme is 3D-ish, Very Cool
I love my k1200s, i cannot wait to upgrade to the 1300s next summer. I put a remus exhaust on mine and it's LOUD! The k1300s and k1200s were built to compete with the busa's mostly. That zx14r took off on some of those though. I wouldn't mind maybe checking one of those out
@@goranmagic837 it was their answer back then to those bikes. That’s their version even though they can’t compete in the speed department. But you know this comment was 5 years ago. So there’s that
@@goranmagic837 yes of course and I knew that 5 years ago. They’re in the same class as in meaning to be bigger bikes, more comfortable etc. this comment was leaving speed or dragging knees out of it
I love Akraphobic exhausts. My favorite! Also, I've owned a Busa...will never own a Kawasaki again. haven't since 1994 due to Kawasaki USA's utter incompetence dealing with my ZX-7 issues.
Never heard of this bike until just now! Cool stuff! Very noticeable distinct high pitched whistle from the intake, I think. Much like the Daytona 675! As far as looks, that bike looks awesome, but I like the busa and zx14 look way better. Personal opinion, although I do like the look of that bike as well! I've got to do more research... there seem to be a ton of supersport bikes I've never heard of!
I doubt the K1300 is tuned. The zx14 was lowered probably geared too and maybe tuned so HP should be in the 190s. It's going to whip up on the BMW for sure.
The both have a ram air , the Beemers set up is even more efficient because the angle of the cylinders ( like the early FZ engines ) it gives almost a strait run into the throttle bodies .. what really hampers the Beemer is about 17 percent hp loss do to the shaft drive .. I think on paper the Beemers power curve is very good and the two have almost identical torque numbers .
@@goranmagic837 I have not taken mine that high, my eyes are not as good as they were when I was younger and things are coming at you so fast seeing up ahead ( clearly ) becomes unsure.. it pulls very hard ( I find it a fun mother with tons of low end grunt) top speed is just a battle of holding on and fighting the wind
Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it provoked you to take delivery! You will love the K1300S and will NOT be disappointed! Please let me know when you get it and I'll check out your vids.
Been LOVING your material for Years! Can't believe I wasn't Subbed... WTF? So I fixed that right now! You get me to thinking about trading my Super Duke R and K1300S for a new H2. First ride was a then-new Gpz550 ! Lol. Owned all the Gpz's, all the "R" bikes, from a 6, to a 9 to a 12! Wanted a 14 to top it off, but went with a Busa in '08 instead. Still lust after a 14, or a new ten to 'Round Out" my Kawasaki Life! Maybe an H2 will fill the void(?) Keep it Pinned, and the Videos flowing - mad respect, my friend. Love to go handle bar to handle bar with you one day. Love your Passion and Commitment! / Brakelate /
Nice video, man. The ZX14R looks better and more aggressive than the K1300S. They're both awesome for comfort but I'd get the 14R because the high performance is also included and in that color scheme too. As for the race against the Busa, the Busa seems quicker but the rider looked hesitant. Excellent review.
By the way Ib... Do you know if the PCV of the S1000RR 2010 is the same for the 2013? And if you know a good place to buy a frame carbon cover (who makes shipping to Chile). Greetings and cool video ;)
Matias Japaz I'm 100% certain that PC5 from a 2010 S1000RR works in a 2014 or earlier. I used my PC5 from my 2010 S1000RR in my 2013 HP4 before I removed it for the BrenTune. I purchased my Ilmberger carbon fiber frame cover from Hard Racing. www.hardracing.com/Ilmberger/IlmbergercarbonfiberBMW.htm
ibsabur THANKS MAN, I will check it. Now I have my S1000RR finish I will buy a Yoshimura full system (R77) and I already buy the PCV. I love the bike! Then my mission is search in the forums maps jejeje. Greetings and thanks again ;)
of course it didn't beat out the zx-14. the zx is a pure 1400 cc motor not just rated at 1400cc's. I forget but the 1300s is rated at 1300 but is truly only in the high 1290's I think.
I hear ya about that. But... it's just going to be another expensive rocket. I mean I'm not sure how well its going to do really. It's heavy.. 526 lbs is what I saw. Street version is going to be tamed down to 200 hp from what I've read. It's only 5 or 6 more horse power than zx14r. Street addition at least. Again, If you look at the money it's not really worth it. It's going to be around 25k they say.. if I put 10k in my bike it would be well over 300 hp.. so I'm not sure it's really worth it. You said your a bigger guy and so am I.. can't beat the comfort of the zx14r for a taller rider.. plus no passenger, that blows.. If you have the cash I would buy the non street legal version if it's possible and just keep on the track.. i kind of think that kawasaki blew their wad early on the H2. I mean they obviously want to be the fastest and to do so they had to put super charger on it.. if you did that to a hp4 or Ducati they would be just as fast or faster really.. I would wait a year or two and see what the other brands have to answer for it.. i think since kawasaki put a supercharger on it the other company's are going to do the same or turbos. I would buy a new 12 or 13 zx14r that's laying around at a dealer and pick up cheap and wait a couple of years for the brands to come out with there answers for the h2.. plus I bet the insurance will be insaine.. if you do get one I do look forward to some videos..
Waaaahhhh - ZX14 smoked the bmw and in essence the busa too - so stop your crying sell your lacking busa and buy a mans motorcycle - the Zx14r - or keep acting like yout a bad ass on a 2nd rate bike and keep a box of tissues with you - youll need em bog ol baby -
***** ZX14r, sorry, one ugly motorcycle! will take the BMW, and don't care if the 14 can pull on the BMW. Who cares after 170mph anyway. Each to his own.
Yup as expected ;) that's was a Gen 1 busa. I'm sure a gen2 would beat it too seeing how bad the the zx14r beat it. Your thinking about getting a zx14r arnt you.. ? ;) ever since you rode one you can't stop thinking about it can you.. ;) .. it's like a sexy dream you can't stop thinking about.. lol... go rent that strip. You'll have a blast.
I heard talk of clutch and transmission problems, seen a few videos where commenters have told their tales of troubles, and found a Cycle Trader K1200S that has clutch and transmission problems. A preventative measure is to make sure to ride your bike at least TEN miles per trip, in order to dry out the catalytic converter induced water from the engine. See this dealer mechanic-eye view of a job in progress as he explains: ua-cam.com/video/hnnuO0C1OG8/v-deo.htmlsi=YP7Gles5bLdLfSdP
Stephen Hayston Depends on the options and package you choose on the BMW but they can be up to $25-27K with the limited edition HP package. That's why I have a ZX14 as well and I love it. My father went from Harley's his whole life to BMW bikes and he wishes he would of done so before he was 65. I've ridden his K1200LT and a few other K series bikes and they do feel great.
nutnfan1 k is a model of motorcycles bmw has been making for decades. It's a cruiser or touring bike. They Have large engines specifically to run as smooth as possible.NOT to be fast. That's why running 11s is crazy. That is stupid fast for a bike built for long distance comfort.
ZX14 is a dedicated straight light acceleration machine. The K1300 is a multi speicalist with extraordinary handling and comfort plus very high speed.
All BMW bikes have alloys, none have steel rims. The more expensive are the forged wheels, the cheaper ones are cast aluminium alloy. Forged rims are made in a different way to cast rims. just bought this bike. It's damn beast in a flimsy cage. thanks thought for this great review.

***** LOL!
LOL! They both look amazing but the K1300S has the advantage with the single side swing arm and rear end. The ZX14R has a better front end and side fairings.
k13s is nice, except for that "blackbird" head light. They should have designed a light similar to the R1200RS
BMW looks like a nice bike. Very refined with exotic bits and modern features. Nice review man.
Thanks Man! Yeah, you're right, The K1300S has tons of exotic flair about it and it still rides like a German BMW, that's the best of both worlds!
This is how you review a motorcycle.
Great old video. Not surprised it lost to the ZX14R but it's such a better bike to haul my wife around on :)
Thanks Eric!
I’d love the K1300S. Very much a BMW, expensive but runs like a Swiss watch.
I'm thinking the led reflection on the windscreen would irritate the hell out of me.
I guess all that carbon fiber on the BMW didn't help all that well.
Great Episode and Edit ib !!!
A lil'bit of everything in this One !!!
;)
I saw that KS'15 yesterday at the Phx IMS
& that paint scheme is 3D-ish,
Very Cool
Thanks Dracati! Yeah, the paint scheme is AWESOME! As you know, it looks even better in person!
I love my k1200s, i cannot wait to upgrade to the 1300s next summer. I put a remus exhaust on mine and it's LOUD! The k1300s and k1200s were built to compete with the busa's mostly. That zx14r took off on some of those though. I wouldn't mind maybe checking one of those out
No it's not, this is bike for touring but on sport way.
Shaft drive can tell you!
@@goranmagic837 it was their answer back then to those bikes. That’s their version even though they can’t compete in the speed department. But you know this comment was 5 years ago. So there’s that
@@WickedMotoOK I understand, but zx14r is hyper sport and ks13 is really sport tourer!
@@goranmagic837 yes of course and I knew that 5 years ago. They’re in the same class as in meaning to be bigger bikes, more comfortable etc. this comment was leaving speed or dragging knees out of it
Busa and zx14, zx12r is category for yourself, k13s, k12s, blackbird, vfr1200, zzr1100, zzr1200 is another category!
"A Crop of Itch" Akrapoviç.
😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😁
the front setup eliminates brake dive, as opposed to a fork setup
Thanks man!!! I've been wondering about that but keep forgetting to ask my BMW salesman. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks! I've just recently found your videos and I've been going through them... Keep them up and thanks for the videos.
loved this video ! thumbs up !
Many Thanks!
Yeah, there are alot of supersport bikes out there. If you search UA-cam for EICMA videos, you'll see quite a few sportbike reviews.
I doubt the K1300 is tuned. The zx14 was lowered probably geared too and maybe tuned so HP should be in the 190s. It's going to whip up on the BMW for sure.
Meh, the guy on the beemer did accelerate like a newbee...
You post some of my favorite videos I like when you race
Thanks Jadon! I post new videos every Sunday during bike season.
Keep enjoying you self great blog like always see you in few weeks be safe out there
Thanks Luis! I will email you with our travel arrangements.
K1300s has 174hp and the ZX14 200hp and 210 with ram-air, not so strange you lost the race...
@@johnnymueller8588 good answer, I also wonder how ks13 with 175hp have top speed 280km/h but answer is transmission loses- shaft drive!
Saw that new 15' paint scheme in person...Looks great!
Should have done something similar on the S1000RR with the black like that.
Yup, I agree Mike!
Ib, Ib, Ib... once again you did not disappoint... great review!! I will be taking delivery of a 2015 K1300s. They owe you a check sir... ride safe
Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it provoked you to take delivery! You will love the K1300S and will NOT be disappointed! Please let me know when you get it and I'll check out your vids.
The Busa rider was letting up it was so obvious 😂
Limited K1300S HP. Only 750 made. I want one...
2015 motorbike you are saying? Are they still producing this model??
great video as always haha
Thanks!
Love the video!
I liked the display bro
The difference between the ZZR and Busa is minimal, that was down to rider ability !
Completely agree. Perhaps if the guy on the Busa had some riding gear on he may have been a little more confident
I was going to say the same thing...bike looked nice and all but he didnt seem very confident
Nice video, man. The ZX14R looks better and more aggressive than the K1300S. They're both awesome for comfort but I'd get the 14R because the high performance is also included and in that color scheme too. As for the race against the Busa, the Busa seems quicker but the rider looked hesitant. Excellent review.
great review
Awesome video man :)
Thanks Bro! Do you guys have a motorcycle show close to you? I'm going to the NYC show in December.
ibsabur yes sir we do, but ours isn't until February :( I wanna see the new bikes now haha
Come to the NYC show with me!
ibsabur thanks for the invite man, but if I got back to NYC it will be in the summer lol.
hey man, very nice review!
thinking about hp LCD panel myself, but it costs too much imho :D
Too much for a black/grey screen. Color!
Good review ! I will wait to see the bike in my country.
The " M " colors looks really great.
Greetings
Greetings Matias!
I heard this may be the last year for the current K1300S, as well as the Hayabusa?
I miss the winding Ohio roads...I don't miss the Ohio road surfaces.
Great video great review!
Thanks Harmy! Please check out some of my other videos and stay tuned for more.
650ib Will do mate!
GREAT REVIEWS
Thanks Robert!
of course it didn't beat out the zx-14. the zx is a pure 1400 cc motor not just rated at 1400cc's. I forget but the 1300s is rated at 1300 but is truly only in the high 1290's I think.
not steel rims??? ...mate Alloys!...the forged ones are Magnesium
love your channel. which one is better all rounder. bmw s1000rr or kawasaki zx14r? acceleration and maneuverability is my key
+Mohamed Essam S1000RR because you can use it on the track.
i have both bikes and can easily do more miles with more smiles on my K1300s,
I got a 2009, defo not steel rims.
Good vídeo indeed.
Many Thanks!
My 05 K1200S is decent and fast ride. K1300S is more refined.
im looking at getting this bike also. there is a used 2010 one at my local dealer for 10k
Did you get it and if yes how do you like it? Thank you
BMW chose this type of front suspension because it does not sink under braking. It's quite funny that the guy doing the review doesn't know it.
Me love u long time
I hear ya about that. But... it's just going to be another expensive rocket.
K1300S vs ZX14 - One corners 🙂
Why would you rely on an electronic to tell you when to shift.
The BMW looks much better than the Kawasaki IMHO
yeah it was great, but the Hayabusa let off every time face it, you like those sorry B M W and green monsters that aint worth a shit
Waaaahhhh - ZX14 smoked the bmw and in essence the busa too - so stop your crying sell your lacking busa and buy a mans motorcycle - the Zx14r - or keep acting like yout a bad ass on a 2nd rate bike and keep a box of tissues with you - youll need em bog ol baby -
I can't decide between the two. Is a stock k1300s faster than a stock s1000rr?
Heck no, a K1300S isn't faster than a S1000RR in any way.
Did not know that Homer rode bikes
The zx14r looks much better
***** ZX14r, sorry, one ugly motorcycle! will take the BMW, and don't care if the 14 can pull on the BMW. Who cares after 170mph anyway. Each to his own.
This buke is a cruiser not made for speed the bmw s1krr destroys the 14r
+Lee Kennedy the zx14 is a beautiful bike. Some people are fucking blind.
👍👍👍👍👍
It does have a nice paint scheme, but I am disappointed on the front, it looks like its from the 90s and doesn't look modern.
I agree, I think they're working on a revised front soon....I hope, lol!
nice
Many Thanks!
The k1300s I don’t think they are in the same category as a busa or zzr1400 the bmw is more of a tourer than the others
11:23 that lean 😍
How much dose this bike go for?
Hi there. The K1300S MSRP is $22k. The K1300S HP special edition was $25k.
Wait, Is BMW K1300S faster than the S1000RR ?
In 2 words.....HELL NO!! Lol.
it always depends on the courage and experience by the drivers . . .
Italian sound from a twin is WAY better
do a the new pan and the h2 vlog please!
Will do! My H2 arrives in February and the Ducati shop is getting Panigale 1299's any day now.
have you allredt buyed those you are amazing!!
TheMacki95 Thanks man! Please stay tuned for amazing videos every Sunday!
okay will do!!
LOL! I fell in love with the zx14r but the H2 is calling for me :-)
I heard talk of clutch and transmission problems, seen a few videos where commenters have told their tales of troubles, and found a Cycle Trader K1200S that has clutch and transmission problems.
How much more is the BMW ? Alot more than zx14r
Stephen Hayston
Depends on the options and package you choose on the BMW but they can be up to $25-27K with the limited edition HP package. That's why I have a ZX14 as well and I love it. My father went from Harley's his whole life to BMW bikes and he wishes he would of done so before he was 65. I've ridden his K1200LT and a few other K series bikes and they do feel great.
Duolever
you don't know why BMW engineers chose the telever front end? have you ever owned/ridden a BMW. Do some research man.
Im guessing the bmw hasnt reached its breaking point yet
The K1300S was fully broken in with almost 8k miles on it. I don't think it's geared as aggressively as the ZX14R.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
What does this bike do on the 1/4 mile
11 seconds at 125mph
wow its 1300 ccs and it only does 11 seconds? Shit the BMW S1000r does it in 10 seconds and that's 300 ccs less im confused
Billy M this is a K bike. The fact that it can run 11s is insane. What's confusing is your comparing it to a super sport.
Mike Labonte What is a "K" bike?
nutnfan1 k is a model of motorcycles bmw has been making for decades. It's a cruiser or touring bike. They
Have large engines specifically to run as smooth as possible.NOT to be fast. That's why running 11s is crazy. That is stupid fast for a bike built for long distance comfort.
BMW better
One of the biggest difference is the kawi an hayabusa are ugly as hell, the BMW k1200 an k1300 s are beautiful
you can tell the Hayabusa let off every time
