Jing Yuan will not be below average at all after Sunday's release. Saying he will be super below average is pure BS. DPS like Firefly or Feixiao is not average, they're broken. The average ones are Yunli, DHIL, Dr.Ratio, Kafka etc. Jing Yuan will be on the same level, or better then them. The weaker below average dps are Seele, Blade and Yanging. Jing Yuan is already stronger then them at this point. With Sunday it won't even be close.
I have dhil yunli and ratio , and in my personal use yunli feels way more powerful than dhil and ratio I have e0s1 dhil and e1s1 yunli so I might be biased due to the DMG buff from eidolon Aside from that ratio is ratio reliable even after getting feixiao

I know he’s supposed to be this impressive summon support, but it doesn’t feel like he is with how little he actual influences them. They just restricted other harmony characters so he stands out more because by all means the summons should inherit the buffs the character is given so the ultimate description explicitly including them means they’re gonna start limiting supports.
He’s definitely more hypercarry focused with the added addition of extra damage buff and advancement on summon. I would’ve liked to see him have a summon and maybe buffing person or people with summons on the team. Just more interaction, maybe even his basic attack doing something special cause his buffs last awhile.
Now they just gotta give us Blade support… Which, is hard to do without also making JL and Firefly way stronger. Not that I’d complain about their buffs. But for Sunday, I only have Topaz, probably better to skip him and get a character that actually uses summons, then grab him on the rerun? I imagine at least 1 of the early 3.x characters will fulfill the role. Either way, love the kit and I hope the summon meta soars. May my fellow Sunday wanters be Sunday havers.
Sunday’s kit is literally the best for hypercarry, not just for summons. It includes buffing dhil, blade, seele, jingliu, argenti, ratio, yunli, even soon Herta SP. His kit is literally bronya pro max. He has crit rate, energy regen, even buffs last more than 1 turn, more dmg boost than bronya, more sp neutral than bronya. All those who need crit rate dont have problems anymore if he is the support. The only part where his kit is not maximized is the 40% extra dmg boost from having summons. Plus new summon characters will be released soon anyways.
IMO there can't be a powercreep if something exactly like it didn't exist. Sunday is going to be really really sick. I hate the character himself so much, but as a Harmony collector I am legally obliged to pull for him for my entire singular summon unit: JY
He’s powercreeping Bronya. Can dispel debuff from skill, 100% AA from skill, both have dmg boost from skill, and has crit dmg buff. The difference is that his skill includes 20% crit rate, he has high overall dmg boost than bronya, he gives 20% energy to ally, all his buffs expire in 2-3 turns, unlike bronya’s buffs that are only 1 turn, also he doesnt consume skill point every 2 turns. So yeah he’s powercreeping her
Judging by how strongly Hoyo pushes Break team archetype now, it is hard to believe they are going to abruptly switch to "old-school" Hypercarry, even with Summons backing them. I will refrain from pulling Sunday and will certainly pull Fugue for my future Firefly. It is a pity we know too little about the 3.0+ characters yet, I could have made another decision.
Considering how hard hoyo push hypercarry on 1.x, it's a bit hard to believe that they suddenly change direction and push superbreak this hard. So I don't think they are pushing hypercarry after this is that unbelievable.

Me omw to build a Hypercarry Topaz team Fr though he looks like he'll be so fun for Topaz and he looks amazing for finally bringing JY into the meta. Excited to try him with JY, Topaz and eventually future summon units if their gameplay looks fun enough for me to summon 🙏
@ShoXpress A new summon DPS won't make JY weaker tho JY from the gameplay stuff I've seen with Sunday + JY looks almost as good as if not better than Acheron in damage per cycle. He's def more than strong enough to comfortably beat endgame now.

His ultimate is underpowered either with energy or Cdmg. Skill is OK and Talent is stronf but extremely simple. He needs another A Trace and put Trave Cleanse built in with Skill.
I mean come on man.... Every single limited harmony unit has it... Ruan mei has it... Robin has it... Sparkle doesn't need it cuz her ultimate literally takes super low energy
Sunday needs some buffs tbh, mainly i think he should place the summon BEFORE the DPS, all summoners already have some sort of way to advance the summons so it's a waste to have them act after

Dr Ratio hyper carry until the summons dps arrive. Also Sunday will pair well with Lingsha, as a sub dps, in pure fiction
