T-90AM "Breakthrough" - a modification of the T-90, on which work was started on the initiative of the Ural Transport Engineering Design Bureau in 2004 on OKR "Breakthrough-2." The export version of the modification of the tank under the name T-90MS was presented to the public September 9th, 2011 at the site, "Staratel / Prospector" in Nizhny Tagil in the framework of the VIII International exhibition of arms Russian Expo Arms-2011.

Abrams is a massive, clumsy tank... the Russians have more maneuverable and light tanks. With modern updates... the Russians are armed with the most perfect weapon.. But the extras and journalists controlled by the US and Britain will never tell you about it))

Is that hull protection system at 2:38 fully automated? That is some amazing stuff however it works
its fully automated , a radar is placed on top and scans the area , any projectile flying between speeds of 70 and 700 m/s will be then fired at with an explosively formed penetrator to detonate it . The system is called arena and its newest version , arena 3 , can intercept multiple projectiles at the same time .

The Russians seem to place emphasis on mobility in linecwith whatever their tactical doctrines are,but on paper this seems like a formidable fighting machine.Many comments here are on the juvenile level but like any other,this weapon is almost useless outside its support systems of infantry,tactical air cover,artillery and ecm.Correct training&familiarity with its role in a technology-heavy battle plan,balance out its its shortcomings.
I do not think NATO planners will disregard the developments&upgrades on this bit of kit.
The significance of this in relation to T14 is once systems on this vehicle have been combat evaluated,the feedback will inevitably modify production T14 variants.It is safe to say that where NATO-trained proxy forces have encountered properly trained forces operating Russian equipment as they were meant to be used;they've been checked.Such incidents suit neoliberal doctrines of interventionist wars used as economic stimulii,against militarily degraded 2nd tier opponents;but in hot wars against properly trained and provisioned troops,reliance up technological superiority can be countered by effective use of equipment in accordance with sound tactical doctrines.
An example of this was in the NATO onslaught against Serbian forces,which failed to adequately degrade the Serbian army. This,despite being in the post-Soviet honeymoon period where NATO supposedly enjoyed its fillip of Gulf War 1 tactical success,saw a Serian Army prepared to engage a hostile adversary after the customary 2 month aerial bombardment. The same is happening in Syria. In Lebanon, the 57 varieties of Merkava destroyed by embedded forces led to a hastily truncated Israeli tactical mission.
World peace actually needs this weaponry to work so as to maintain balance. Three decades of Post Cold war imbalance has seen little peace and much adventurism by NATO and its strategic partners on the global stage.

The US is upgrading the Abrams constantly and US optics are still a generation ahead of Russia. Russia still does not have the money to build very many. Most likely will upgrade the T72 3B instead. Hope I didn't hurt your butt troll.

that's not a turret's shape that you see. It's an external dynamic protection. The shape of a turret is a standard half-sphere.

It's not the tank that will win, it is the crew inside. Can you compare a common crew from a Russian tank division from a US division. This is where the difference will come. Tactics and techniques will be what makes one tank better than the other. Any modern battlefield will have not just the M1, but also the Leopard 2A7 or other variant, and what ever the Brits are throwing in the fight. Russian forces would have several T-90 variations, as well as the T-14. Combine this with aircraft and helicopters, and the West concept of using combined arms tactics may tip the balance in a different direction.

They dont have the T-90AM and MS variants as shown in the video. They operate the T-90S "Bhisma" Indian variant which lacks the Shtora-1 countermeasure system (of the standard T-90A/S) , the Relikt ERA , Afghanit APS and the 2A46M-5 125mm autoloading gun. The 2A82-1M 125mm gun (of the T-14 Armata) will be implemented in the T-90M/MS.
Indian army only has 350 of these.

у арматы каз афганит , она намного умнее и действует ограниченно и непосредственно в область подлетающего боеприпаса, поэтому поражение дружественной пехоты сведено к минимуму и в основном от взрыва и осколков самого средства поражения , а не от каз.
m1a2 has two 7.62mm MG and one .50CAL. MG. speeds at 45mph and (by witness) manual reload speeds from 3 seconds to 7. Yes, it is unnecessarily heavy, but it's from all it's protection.

I would want Serbia to buy at least 32, they are modernizing The M84AS2 but the armour is not good so if the armoured 60 M84as2 and then modernize the rest and sell them to other 3rd world countries. 100 + can be modernized to As1 or as2.
Sell them and buy additional T90MS/AS.

Ага, два раза. 10 лет назад я был уверен, что Су-34 так и останется навсегда "штучным экземпляром", а сейчас 120 серийных машин построено и продолжаем выпускать. Это тебе работник Новосибирского авиазавода говорит. В этом месяце один еще сдадим точно, следующий уже походу только в апреле, увы.) Танков Т-72Б3 уже овер 1000 намодернизировали из старых, если не в курсе. Так что не боись, будут и "Прорывы" у нас, и БМПТ уже заказали первую партию.
