really love kika goods blind boxes!! if you have issues with the long-haired dolls hair falling off or creating a crease between back and the front piece, use a little bit of poster putty/tack and put it between the hair pieces, easily holds them together
also yes the accesories in this series are meant to be attatched with the putty that comes with the dolls, i wish they included that in an instruction because it can be confusing if you never saw dolls that require that before

I love these dolls…I wish the girls with skirts on had knickers 😅 but they look nice and seem like a good price. I’m not sure how well I’ll do with the fiddly hands. But now they’re on my radar they may become a new rabbit hole for me to get lost in 🐰

I've heard about a lot of quality control issues with this particular set, but I'm sure that's because this is from a group that don't really make things like this. The designs are very cute though, once again my favorite is the secret one and the angel-ish one LMAO (the light blue puppy one). I do wish dolls like these would come with wigs instead of plastic hair, but I understand why they do the plastic hair.
I've bought a few of the 1/12 blind box bjds from Kika Goods, but the plastic hair meant that I lost interest fairly quickly. If they came with wigs instead they would be taking ALL of my money!

It’s really too bad because I think I love this design the most. I really appreciate you showing how to change the hands and also taking the faceplate off.
I am becoming more interested in BJD..your review extremely helpful..I have weak hands with skin grafts,nerve damage, etc. I would probably get someone to help me, so not discouraged but more informed. Thank You ❤️
the fix i used for the issue at 33:32 cut out a small bit of fabric and use fabric glue to attach it as a small band under her skirt, adjust it so it catches the crotch at the point you want the skirt to rest. still a bit frustrating it didn’t already have that
Yeah tbf I think if someone who actually spent money on the dolls contacted customer support they’d be willing to help (honestly I probably could have as well, always had good interactions with the brand, I just figured I’d just change the hands to a different pose instead haha)
I may sound like a sour can of beans and I am so sorry for that, but it comes with the territory of removing hands/head and feet for bjds. It has been common for several years before mid 2000's. And pointing it out is not really taken serious. Mainly because it's normal to do when changing clothes/accessories and such. ppl just gotta learn it if they want bjd's *shrugs* Granted some artists have made bjd's with an easier mechanism, Fairyland minifeés have a neck piece when you take the head off is an easy twist and turn. And a handful of brands have hands + feet inserted magnets for easy removal. Dream valley experiments with magnets to change between fantasy and human legs/arms. MH/RH also sometimes needs to have hands removed. so yeah there is that. BUT congrats on the free bjd's! Also Also 10.000 escape plans bjd's has been through some rough quality control. You should try and read about. Some of it is wild. Reddit has some threads about it.
I totally get that it might be a needed skill to learn for BJD collecting (and even pointed out in the video it’s probably common and I’m just not as aware), mostly I left in my struggles(?) with it because I do see these blind box bjds as a more entry level point and others might not be aware if they’re not familiar with the hobby Like I’m sure anyone who is deep in the hobby is like…why are you complaining? But for someone who might have bought this as their first BJD, having to change the hands (and it not being an optional aesthetic thing but an absolute necessity) it’s really frightening knowing one wrong move means you need to not just replace the hands but figure out how to string the whole doll/a good chunk of it. Like sure you may need to take a MH hand off to get a jacket on but the arm isn’t going to fall apart because of that y’know? Hope I don’t sound argumentative lol I definitely get where you’re coming from, just explaining I guess

I think the accessories can be put on with the putty so it won’t fall off.
