Having recently re-watched Vinny's stream playthrough of the first game, I think I know what Mason's art style kinda makes me think of: playing with LEGO pieces as a child. Whenever I built things, whether they were buildings, robots, or whatever, the initial end result wouldn't be exactly as I envisioned it, but I would then go back and add a few parts here and there to try and "refine" it, as if I was onto something, even if I wasn't sure what that "something" was--I just knew that I wanted to make the best version OF it. As "weird" and "strange" as the environments and characters of Hylics are, there's clearly a lot of time and care put into them. Would "controlled chaos" be the right term to describe it?
The visuals, the music, the whole "1990s MTV" look and feel… I often look for games with sophisticated gameplay/story/narrative but this trailer made me go buying the first Hylics game. I don't finish it yet as I really enjoy just being in its pastel-colored world with its strange logic and lovable characters. I can't wait for its sequel after the recent 2nd trailer!

Wanna hear a dark head cannon, Fleam was obviously a cut party member, but a weird misshapen version of him is an enemy in the final game (i forget it’s name but it has Fleam in it) so my head cannon is that Fleam and Decres went out to try and stop Gibbys resurrection a while before Wayne did, and they were killed during their quest. Fleam was mutated and Decres is the dead Wayne you get meat from in the afterlife.
I have never heard of this game, I found this video in the recommended tab while watching an old Sunny D commercial from 2010, Im very intrigued though.
My best guess of why attacking in the overworld was removed is because it would have make the fights pointless since you could kill them more quickly shooting at them
it's awesome the level of detail put in here, in terms of textures and the feeling of depth, and how visuals work along with music to create this awesome atmosphere
I cannot wait for this game to come out, the character designs, the actual style, and even the music still amazes me and I cannot wait to play this when it comes out.

I always wanted to make games myself, and have to some extent prior to my career, so I always give my full love and support to all of the incredibly dedicated and talented indipendent game-makers out there. Hylics has become one of my most favorite obsessions.
I'm really excited to see how our favorite archaeologist-turned-warrior Dedusmuln will be introducing himself. Also really diggin' Wayne and Somsnosa's new outfits as well.

I just hope that this time, it doesn't just end with a sudden "the end" out of nowhere. wouldn't you like to make this game into the switch? it would be amazing if it reach to be a game of a console.

Holy shit. I have never been so excited for a game. This is pretty much the perfect sequel for Hylics; I never actually expected it to be like this (i.e. Pseudo 3D with full animations) but even though I secretly hoped for a Hylics 2 that was very similar to the original, this one seems to be just fine. (PS please release the soundtrack on steam, i will pay ludicrous amounts of money for it.)
