It’s always a struggle for her to get a thought out coherently let alone read what they give her.

I think we tend to forget how young Jess is. A lot of things and happenings in the culture that seem like common knowledge to most of us in our 40s and up were missed by her generation. This happened 25 years ago. 25 years ago Jess was 7. So I'm not surprised she doesn't know much about Shyne or the incident being discussed. Gotta give her some grace, at least with this one.
