The song is so haunting.. It's been one of my favorites since it first came out in 1991.
Not wanting to sound like a wise guy, but actually the song first came out in 1989 and remained widely unnoticed until David Lynch used an instrumental version of it in his 1990 movie "Wild at Heart", which prompted Lee Chesnut (yes, that's his name), a music director from a radio station in Atlanta, Georgia, who loved Lynch's movies, to play the song up and down on his airwaves, thus making the song hit the top 10 of various charts in 1991.
@@bodenlosedosenhose1590 thanks for the additional info..I heard it first in 91 when it was getting a lot of airplay and assumed it came out the same year. Anyway, the song is still beautiful even after 3 decades.
@@frontlever-di7gt It sure is. I discovered it a bit later due my year of birth, but never really paid attention to it and just lately started getting into this song and others from Isaak.
Love the song too. I clearly remember when Beverly Hills 90210 played it. I was in 5th grade.
The power of this song just hits hard...really hard. i mean im sure a lot of us have gone through this, a person whom you really want.....but you know you shouldn't.
Hindsight tells me I can rekindle reach flame each night with this track.
Masterpiece ... anyone can feel his voice❤️
Just love his voice. He knows what music's about.
This is my youth, my memories, my inner life. This will be always and forever a very special Song for me. Thx, Chis.
This is simply one of the most beautiful, yearning, haunting songs I've ever heard in my life. That guitar just does something to my insides that I don't have a name for . Man- some people are just truly magnificent musicians. To invent this melody and have that voice . .. wow
Makes me think of where I've been where I am and where I'll end. Hauntingly beautiful!
Thanks for your love and support. It has been a hard time for me going through this but your love and support keeps me going and standing strong in this difficult times . I do read your heartwarming comments and I truly appreciate all you've done for me throughout the years
It’s always great when a song really speaks to you. This one does.
Emotions come through better live, this recording is equal musically to the studio version but with Isaak’s emotional habitation of the lyric live makes this superior in my view. LOVE LIVE MUSIC!!
From a different planet. Thanks for sharing. Maybe one of the greatest song ever
