A question From Mike K8mrd - Does it come with nipple clamps?
I'd guess that it's impossible to market this type of battery without a BMS since, at the least, the BMS will make the cells equally charged. If not, the life of this battery will be most likely severly shortened. There are other, major, concerns that would require a BMS.
After writing this comment I read that others had similar comments and you wondered whether the BMS was working. Well, if it was, its low voltage cut-off wasn't and that's pretty serious.
I have one, battery have the BMS that can protect it from overcharge, deep discharge, overload, overheating and short circuit and low self discharge rate. Been using it for 3 months and so far working great.
It's advertised at 5000+ charges. It must have a BMS -- you could not get that many charges if it wasn't balancing the batteries, etc
Yes true, I just wonder if the BMS is working when it allows the voltage to drop that low.
page 3 = Millivolts on each cell (4 cells)
Yes but why is one highlighted?
@@HamRadio2 it show the one be used or the that is being cycled through. changing colour from blue being the lowest to grey being next ang the green the one being checked at that time.
@@HamRadio2 My guess would be they highlight is on the LOWEST cell. de W4WMM
Would be nice to hear how you would rate the various batteries you have now tested. Could keep a running list. W9OQI
Yeah I've thought about that. Great idea
Does pressing on the temp tab on page two have any effect?
Doesn't seem to
My FTDX10 runs until 10.7 volts. Wattage drops slowly from 40 to 20 while doing FT8 POTA.
I wonder if running it that low will damage it, though
Let's gooooo 🔥
will they work on the trolling motor?
Yes, on a 12v system
Would you recomend this over the redodo 100 ah battery?
No
yep,recomend this
Redodo is a very good company, service and product wise, and its LiFePO4 batteries are highly rated.
@lazurm I ordered one of these and the Redodo, I have yet to put them to full on tests but I figured it's worth a try.
@@HollyArms1 Please share your results/observations when ready.
at that price it should have a BMS.
LiTime and Weize are in that price range and they have a BMS.
Yeah I would think so too
looks like fell short a few AH. wounder how much that display draws. was at 99% at start. the BMS may be set 10V .not usable for radio use. most of discharge was over 13V that is the good for portable radio use. just make a a cord with fuse and power pole and got a go battery. has a carry handle . 73's
they all will have a b m s no other way around it
Yes true, I just wonder if the BMS is working when it allows the voltage to drop that low.
You mean more like $389
mine says 319
Yeah, scrolled a little and I got $319
Prices fluctuate
Understandable! That's why I'm building my own lithium pack with lifepo cells.
Meanwhile, I'll continue learning about ham radios because I'd like to get my license. Thanks for sharing the info.
