    8:34 first 3200m, 8:21 last 3200, 4:06 closing 1600. Textbook record-running.

    Best race commentary I have ever heard. Familiarity with the athletes, familiarity with the sport, and pretty damn funny. Thank you ATL.

      It is usually best they don't to avoid collisions, especially in the 10000. Losing a couple of seconds for passing is better than faceplanting the track.

    It feels like not too long ago when he broke 4 in high school. He's really young still, he might have a shot at the wr if he continues whatever he's doing. Might be a while especially with Cheptigei since he might break it soon but he definitely still has a lot in him.

    Hell of a run by Ahmed! Huge PB as well. Too bad he went out a little early. Great run either way for both he and Fisher!

    I love the announcers. I would love to give them both an honorary announcers medal like they do for winning atheletes at the olympics. Grant Fisher took it to another level. I am really proud of him. Congratulations Grant! I would love to get a teeshirt of Grant Fisher. Conner Manz, he is awesome! He has the greatest of all time in him.

    I liked seeing this on US soil too. (I remember how slow some of our women's 1984 OT and OG qualifying standards were). I liked seeing how well Lara ran after enjoying watching some of his training on YT. [I know some men who ran in the Olympics yet never broke 28:00 minutes so this fast running is very exciting to watch].

    $2,900 for 1st Place and an American Record and less than 2,000 for second place......
    How is that adequate compensation for these outstanding world-class runners?

    • @soundrunning
      @soundrunning  2 роки тому +8

      Prize $$ is based on viewership. Athletes get additional bonuses from their sponsors for hitting certain standards and even more for breaking records. That’s where the much bigger value is for the athlete
