It has been many moons since I visited Kemah. Was there when the bridge was a drawbridge! One of my dads favorite bars was there and it had a collection of naval memoribilia sp?and a mummy etc..., monies from around the world etc..was destroyed during hurricane Carla. Can't recognize anything now. Also had a wonderful restaurant, all you could eat shrimp and I pigged out. Lots of good memories there!
I'm just curious did you have permission to fly over the rides and people on the boardwalk like that. Flying over cars on bridges is very much against FAA regulation. Nice video for sure but very much outside the rules.
Looks like a bunch of FAA regulation violations to me. Flying directly over people and streets with traffic. Its unlikely he had permission by the boardwalk. Each person entering would have to sign a waiver of some type. Even more we can be pretty sure he didn't have permission of the people occupying the vehicles on the Kemah bridge. It's irresponsibility like this that makes it easier to take our hobby away from us.
Pretty sure Fertitta wouldn't care if it's free advertising. (Guy who owns it.) He doesn't give a rat's a$$ about regulations as long as he gets his millions.
@@dynamicfpv I agree. I am a 107 and in Houston from out of town and looking for cool places to shoot some footage. I found this boardwalk and am currently planning my flight route which does not involve going over the bridge or over any of the people at the boardwalk facility. Only over the water. I will show my takeoff location, flight path with altitude, and flight time. I will also list my emergency landing procedures, drone and camera information and submit it to the Boardwalk Corporate Office for approval prior to any flight. Watching these videos is frustrating because behavior like this will just result in more restrictions on people like me who actually go through all the proper channels to do these things.
@@RipWheelen Ya the Kemah Boardwalk is very strict on images taken. And this type of flying just makes it easier to support regulations. Some selfish people (@desertsunset8025) just don't care about keeping our rights.
I live one mile south of the Kemah Boardwalk.....I used to work at one of the Gift Shops below the Hotel....it was so much fun....

I see overpriced food and tons of tourist traffic in what used to be a lovely area for locals. I'm sure this post will be deleted.
