Watch baby Julian hear for the first time

After Julian Epstein failed multiple hearing tests, his parents sought care at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
He underwent a cochlear implant procedure, where a small, electronic hearing device is surgically implanted to help provide a sense of sound.
