Some of those scores on day 1 was unbelievable, I thought Carl would be about 5 shots clear.... he played so well. Look forward to the new Vlogs plus the Subscriber event.... only 25 more to get, haha 😉

Wayne Dewey Golf Vlogs just back from the Canary Islands, did a Cruise to and from Southampton, had a great time. It’s hard going great for 18 holes, medal is tough, you should be too disappointed with day 2, you played very well plus you have not been playing that much golf! How’s the house getting on?

I'm away this week so decided to pay someone to decorate the lounge whilst we are away to ease the burden when I get back.... It is coming on though... Feels like we've broken the back of the initial rush of rooms to get done. Starting to make golf plans again which is always fun. Lol
Excellent vlog Wayne,the usual high standard,very difficult to get any sense of perspective on such a flat track,it's only when you see aerial views as on the website that the intricacy of the course becomes apparent,that Jack Nicklaus bloke's not a bad designer!After those great par saves I thought you had the putter warmed up,quenched in the water on 18 though!Nice analysis at the end,I empathise entirely with Robin although I'm teetotal now I've had my quota of sambuca in the past,too moreish! p.s. Stu should have had half a dozen pairs of white socks as his prize! LOL Thanks for sharing Wayne.
Haha... He really should of. perhaps next year all top 5 will get some socks then hopefully stu can get some. Lol. I could do with a cheeky drone investment... Jst to give another perspective. If I ever start earning money from youtube I will certainly reinvest it into something like that
@@RealgolfWD I'm not sure you would benefit that much from a drone,there are very few courses like Machynys and even on flattish courses there are usually trees to give definition and focus,it would also be a real drainer trying to vlog,operate a drone and play golf competitively unless you fiddle the draw and get Olly to help out.I did enjoy 'the drop' also,the R&A could learn from that,"Chuck it down within a yard or two of the original spot" lol.A Wayne Dewey subscribers golf day would be awesome,can you travel to Yorkshire?
@@christopherfranklin972 Yorkshire could be a bit of a stretch but could plan somewhere really nice more in the middle... Not really sure where my target t audience is based... The belfry could be good?
@@RealgolfWD No,only joking,Yorkshire is way too far for a day event,you need to be closer to home,maybe one of the courses that you've vlogged before like Stoneham?I have heard so many negatives about the Belfry,course too busy,slow play and not great value,the old story of cashing in on a reputation. Not sure that a drone would be much of an advantage,there are not many courses as flat as Machynys and generally the terrain unfolds pretty well on your current camera,a drone may not be permitted at many courses and it would be an extra burden on you to organise,vlog,play and also pilot a drone!
To be honest a drone would take a lot more prep time... Would have to get to courses loads before others so I could fly it up to get a few good scenes.... Would be amazing to have it in the course but way too much effort and would certainly take the fun out of the golf. As for the belfry.... We played out medal there last year... I thoughr the facility was fantastic although they certainly know how to charge for drinks at the bar... Prices were ridiculous. I did vlog that weekend actually so u might be able to find it in my back catalogue if you haven't already seen it. The brabazon was in great condition! I would happily play there again. Keeping the golf day local would make sense. Maybe even just at crane valley for the first ever one... Perhaps I'll do one every time I hit a milestone
Think you will find that Machynys G C is in Llanelli home of the Scarlets. Lots of nice courses in South Wales, Apart from your choice's you could have had Royal Porthcawl, Southerndown, Pyle & Kenfig, Ashburnham to name but a few so you won't go short on DGS awaydays if you choose Wales again. Disappointed you don't have as many shall we say Golfpals (475) as you deserve.

'it's free to be a golf pal' South Wales is blessed with courses, when catering for big groups tho you do have to think about cost and flow of the weekend. Will defintely try and get back up there and play a few of the others. They all look amazing on that coast line
