Got to throw out my own recommendations too. The Legend of Heroes series by Falcom. There are several game sagas in the series that take place in the same world in neighboring countries. Which means there will be a lot of cameos and references to previous games but aren't required for full enjoyment. Mostly just there for the long time fans. I recommend starting with Trails of Cold Steel I, as that's where I started, as well as that saga is finished. It's your typical JRPG with some Persona light elements with the lovable characters. I can't recommend it enough, Cold Steel is a bit of slow burn though being and entry point but I guarantee if you finish it you won't be able to put the series down. It's also got fishing.
I’ve heard someone talk about that series on a podcast before. They compared the franchise to the MCU in terms of telling a broader story over a series of entries. Funny, I just watched a review for the new game. Wish the graphics were more up to date. Glad it has a dub unlike the Altier Ryza games. That’s another series I’ve heard was good, but haven’t got it yet cause of the price.
Alright before any of you buy Code Vein let me explain the difference it has to dark souls. I’ll be honest here, dark souls is much more forgiving compared to code vein and much more fairer. Code Vein is pretty hard compared to it, it’s like telling a new player to play elden ring before dark souls but all the bosses are crazy fast and leaves little opening for attacks, this game is really really hard
Actually Infinity Strash DQ, Dragon Ball Kakarot, Scarlet Nexus, Sand Land Nier Automata, Nier Replicant, and Code Vein are all technically JRPGs. Just not the traditional turn-based kind. This wasn't meant to be exclusively a list for that genre anyway. Otherwise I would've included other stuff like Final Fantasy.

Really? Would you say it’s as hard as Bloodborne or Demon Souls? Those are the only From Soft ones I’ve played and I didn’t think it was unbalanced at time. Just a bit unpolished in some aspects (co-op intergration sucked).

Amazing video, adding chapters for each game would make it even better, but some amazing recommendations!!
Sure, I'll do that!
