Day Trip to Sedona Exploring Tlaquepaque, Chapel of the Holy Cross & More!

Sedona, Arizona, is always magical, and this day trip with my mom and grandma was no exception! We began our adventure at the beautiful Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, one of my favorite spots in Sedona. The stunning Spanish-style architecture and lush greenery set the perfect backdrop as we strolled through charming boutiques and art galleries. We grabbed lunch at the Secret Garden Café, where we shared a yellowfin tuna sandwich and a BLTA-both absolutely delicious!
After lunch, we wandered through more shops and soaked in the relaxing atmosphere of Tlaquepaque. I love how every corner of this area is filled with beautiful plants, fountains, and unique art pieces. Our next stop was the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an iconic Sedona landmark built right into the red rocks. The views from the chapel are breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at Sedona’s stunning landscape. It’s truly a place that fills you with awe and serenity.
To end our day, we headed to the Mesa Grill, a cozy spot where we enjoyed a beer while watching planes and helicopters take off from the Sedona airport. Since it was a bit cool and windy, they lit the outdoor fire for us, adding to the warm and welcoming vibe. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. This trip was filled with beautiful scenery, amazing food, and wonderful family moments-Sedona never disappoints!
