I really like your reviews and you seem to have tastes that really align with me in audio. Thanks for the Zero review. These are really awesome and I think I like them better than many of my 80 dollars+ IEMs. They are truly budget kings.
Thanks for the video Timmy! Moonlight is really by far one of the most natural timbre iems I have ever heard. It has realistic note weight to it, and the ambience and slightly harmonic treble around 9-11k just makes this feel very, very watery and wet, and enjoyable to me. Compared with the Monarch mk2 I personally prefer the tuning of moonlight just because the monarch seems a little bit dry to me, although with very good vocal intimacy
I got my zero the other day after getting the chu. And everything about it just feels better. The Cable, the fit, and way more tips. Only real reason to get the chu now imo is for the spring tips if you like those.
Moondrop Chu seemed to have a lot of bass when I used them. Maybe you're not getting the deep bass due to a fit issue? IEMs are extremely sensitive to fit, and not getting it just right can make a huge amount of bass disappear.
Can't wait for the detailed review of the Moonlight from you Timmy, I wonder how it's gonna fare against the heavyweight tribrids in the price segment like Variations, Oracle, EST 112. After quite a lukewarm impression from Crinacle regarding this IEM, I would love to see how you would rate this IEM after a more thorough trial.
Got the zero last week and i really liked it. It sounded great on my s21 ultra using only a cheap DAC dongle. With Neutron at max hi-res settings and the sound is even better. I just ordered Hiby R3 Pro Saber so I can try the 2.5mm balanced sound. To go with it, i'm thinking of buying the TRN T2 Pro 16-core cable with detachable 2.5mm jack but there is not so much discussion around this cable. The detachable jack looks convenient in swapping between 2.5mm and 3.5mm. Has anyone tried this cable?
How do you like the bass? I’m thinking of getting a pair for the gym but I need something that is t shy in bass for electronic music and most of my METAL has plenty of low end.
@@raMmpage18 You don’t really need Spinfits per se. Any smaller bore tip should increase bass. I did order some Spinfit CP100, but basically to see if the hype is real. I have 100’s of tips and have my favorites. But none of them cost $3.25 per tip. If the Spimfit work out with my Olina or one of my other higher end sets that’s great but I’m not expecting miracles. I don’t need basshead level of bass but I don’t want anything that’s bass shy. I have a variety of music for when I’m working out and if the tracks have prominent bass I want any iem to portray that. Less than neutral isn’t ideal for any type of music really except for very niche tracks with vocals only where the signal doesn’t contain info from 20 to 20K.
To be honest, I've switched to the Zero for the past two weeks, and today when I listened to my Chus I ... found that the Chu's had punchier bass... I have no idea why, maybe my filters are messed up from extreme humidity in Shanghai, but I really do prefer the Chu's to the Zeros. Gonna do a cable mod next week.
I'm hoping they send you the Yanyin Canon's. I would loooove to hear your thoughts. I bought them a few months ago and I love them. The Tuning switches are so convenient, I keep mine set to 'down up up' for music I want to hear the details and vocals. If I want straight bass I do 'up down down'
Great job bro 👍. Salnotes zero is very interesting iem. Is this iem worth to buy? I already have cca cra and tin t4. I thihnk it would be nice if you can put genre column on your iem rank list
Same here! But also ordered an additional pair in white, to see which one will look nicer (and to give 1 pair away to a friend in need of an upgrade). Excited to see the blue in person!
@@simpleuserYT I also own the Red Mecha version now, and I think it's between that one and the white one. White one matches best with the colored eartips you get with them.

Hey, could you help me? I'm looking for a upgrade for my Lea's and I'm thinking about the Kato's or the S12. Wich one would you recommend for a more natural sound signature, with emphasis on the mids, a decent amount of bass (more or less the Lea's quantity or a bit more) and polite, but detailed treble? Great video by the way, you explain pretty well without being boring :)
The S12 is gonna challenge your treble tolerance a bit, but if you can handle a bit more treble, the S12 is one my personal favorite beater IEMs. I use it all the time for casual listen (grocery shopping, running errands, etc). Bring endgame sets out of the house is a bit scary lol

Between CCA CRA and the 7hz Zero, which would be a better buy? I saw your IEM ranking the zero has a B with a red color while CRA B- in green. In confuses me which will be superior
Yes. Get it. In my ears anyways they sound different enough. Zero is more bassy. It's not as thin in vocals. It has a more energetic and fun attack in bass and treble. Controlled better in the treble. Faster bass to me or maybe it's just a bit more textured. Probably both.

Luckily HBB retuned the Moonlight to add more BASS for anyone wondering. Released like 2 days ago as Mahina
Yeah, that should balance out the tuning nicely
Yeah I use auto eq to make my moonlight like mahina sometimes oracle which is what I originally wanted
Zero sounds so good, I ordered another pair just to have an extra pair of it 😅🔥
lmao true dedication
Nice quick review. I have heard that the Yanyin Mahina is a revised tuning of Moonlight reference to the Elysian X, wonder how would it sound.

@@edi4ever708 i haven't tried that yet. Might have to. The tips on the zero are a bit hard to replace but once they're on they are on good.

It really is. It's almost like the Chu upgrade. I think I like this more than Aria. Well my Aria is broken in one ear so it's hard to compare now. ☹️

It does not have subtitles in Spanish, UA-cam gave you the option

any idea how these compare to the CRA+ or CRA? which one would you prefer?
Great video as usual. May I kindly ask. You mentioned vocal forward but at the same time v-shape. Is that usual? :)
Yeah, it felt like it has a lower midrange dip but upper midrange boost, which results in some V-shape characteristics as well as some forwardness.
