My suggestion is Duckingham Palace. I hope you are going to make a good sized duck pond so that all the ducks can enjoy the water together. Love your videos.
@@missydawn251 Oh that's even better! THE OASIS (you already named it in your video title. You want to sit, relax and watch the ducks swim while sipping your coffee. You’d be going to THE OASIS. Maybe eventually have an in ground pond with a tree next to it.)
We are new to ducks this year, and already I whole-heartedly agree that ducks are SO MUCH FUN to watch! It was an impulse buy for me when I was picking up some Cornish cross to raise for the freezer. Somehow a Blue Slate turkey made it home with that bunch so now we have a turkey that thinks she's an odd-shaped duck! Your pool idea is so intriguing- our ducks also are MESSY and love making little dibble dabble mud holes. It will be nice to get some ideas for our small flock while I watch you put your duck area together! Thanks for all the great inspiration 🙂
We build a special area for our ducks. It has its own In ground pool that is half of a big plastic crate. It has an underground drain that leads to a ditch running downhill away from this area. Rainwater is connected off the roof into another crate that holds about 300 gal. It has a hose that gravity flows the water into the pond. It’s wonderful and the ducks love it!
After watching the channel for several years now I'm just going to have to say that I believe that Kevin and Sarah are two people who posse a bit of genius. I love how so many of their plans come together so well 😊😊😊
On the previous homestead, my favorite part was watching the ducks come out in the morning! They are so fun to watch!!! "The Cluckie' and Duckie' Play Yard"
Thanks for another great tutorial on building a hoop coop, Kevin. I don't know why so many other channels try to "re-invent the wheel," when you have it down to a perfect science! I love that you have gotten more ducks, and have moved them and the Silkies to a new area. Can't wait to see what you do for a pond, etc. I am not good at coming up with names, but I see that others are coming up with some fun ones. 😊 God bless you and your family and your farm! I really enjoy watching all of your videos. Thanks for sharing your life with us. ❤
Kevin, I just wanted to let you know that even when a vlog is posted regarding a subject that I can't do anything with, technically, I watch it! I enjoy how you and Sarah explain everything and the joy and hard work you put into everything you do. It helps me to enjoy and work hard in my current surroundings, which is a .18 acre lot, with a pool/concrete taking up a lot of that space. It's my current Homestead, while I dream of something larger and greener 💙💚. God bless you and your family!
I’m very glad to see you wearing ear protection when you put in the T posts (and other times). A lot of people don’t think of the cumulative effects/damage they’re doing to themselves when they just want to get something done & don’t wear it. Kudos. 👍🏼
Love how easy that hoop coop was to build. Since it sounds like you’re going to be using the area for more birds, how about “Featherville Theme Park” Love how the new Homestead is coming together. Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️👩🏻🌾💕🦆🐓🦃
Quackerville might work for the new duck area. Fun video today. Y'alls enthusiasm is so evident in setting up this new area, and for the plan to enlarge it.
So fun!! Maybe call it Hoop Coop Hill...Fuzzy Butt Fairway...Webfoot Way...Web and Wild Water Park ...Honk & Cluck Playground...Pinfeather Paradise... Those coops look better each time!
Debra Flowers suggested "FEATHERLAND" and I Love it. Both animals have feathers so it works and it rolls easily off the tongue. IF you're looking for a 'fancier' way to build a duck pond, and one that is pretty to look at, Travis Jantzer just built one for his ducks. It has a waterfall and some aquatic plants as well. (Not saying the one you have planned isn't going to be pretty)
Arms Family Homestead put in a pond that was supposed to be for his fish but the ducks took it over. The pond has a waterfall and he set up a camera and made some videos. It is so relaxing to listen and watch the ducks play, even on video. It must be even better in person. I'm not saying you should do something so elaborate but you should check it out. I love what you have planned, you guys are so considerate of your animals no matter their purpose ❤❤
Hello Kevin and Sarah- three options for your new area: No Fly Zone, Fowl Territory, and Feathered Frontier. We love your channel. Thank you, and God Bless.
Wow! Great job moving that chicken shack! I had a Peking duck, Tasha, (1 of 3) that could fly some. She could fly over the chain link fences in my neighborhood. So i guess she was pretty rare! She was the best pet I ever had! I like the idea one of your commenters had to put in a pond. I had put the kiddie pool in the ground with flat rocks all around the edges. Out of all the ducks Tasha loved it best! I added little minnows for her to chase, and it was hilarious!❤️
When you first mentioned having a special area for the ducks I was hoping it would be something that you would do soon. ducks are a fun animal to have I had 2 when I was a kid and they followed me all over the place. I always took them to a stream to play in twice a day. Memories! Good idea on the coop
The Silkies sure did give y’all a piece of their mind as y’all transferred them to the temporary cage. 😂 I’m loving the new areas that y’all are setting up for the ducks and Silkies. Great job at moving the coop! ❤️
The Quack Shack, Puddles Park, The Paddlin’ Pond, Paddlin’ Puddles, The Quackery, Swim & Quack Place, Puddles Plaza, Paddlin’ Place……. All kinds of fun little names possible. I used 50” hog tight fence panels on my chicken run thinking that the smaller graduated spaces on the bottom were close enough to keep my chickens in….and they are for my full grown chickens (i have chanteclers, a duel purpose heavy breed). But for the pullets we hatched ~3/10 that arent quit full grown yet and still somewhat able to fly/glide/jump, they just hop up and squeeze through the upper sections that have larger holes. So i am gonna need to add 3’ of chicken wire around the bottom of my hog tight.
I don't really follow 'farm' channels much so I come for the plants/food prep... But it's really Refreshing to see someone 'care' and not just view the animals as food etc.
Since that area has no real shade, you might plan on an arbor to sit under and watch the ducks, plus provide shade and a spot to hide from overhead predators. Planting your grapevines there would also work for shade for them. Plus, they would clean up any dropped fruit. Looks like you may have some use for all those rocks you picked up out of the garden, too. Maybe a little pea gravel to make it not as rough on the feet. Kevin is going to have fun designing the splash pad.
Watched for years, even before move to Missouri! Didn’t realize we were close to you! I e been having knee issues and being a window , I’m slow, but plan on making a hoop coop after I get gel In my knees next week! Praying it works so I can get back to work, G*d Bless!❤
CONESTOGA walk-in HOOP COOP could also use wheels to move it easily to fresh ground ! Best shape and design for chooks and ducks ! Never scrape another chook house floor again ! External and elevated, easily removable, and washable (if you get mites) nesting boxes fitted to either side for chooks. Keep up the great work ! Great videos !
Thanks for sharing with us Kevin and Sarah, sure enjoyed the setup you made for the Peking Ducks and Silky Chickens to be free range raised. They will sure enjoy their new area. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun times around there. Fred.

Good luck on your surgery & a very speedy recovery.
Fred.
