Your channel has been helpful in adding more value to my collection. We all buy what we want but your videos have really helped me develop more critical thinking concerning my collection which has benefited my wallet.
My man, Willie. You definitely understand what I’m trying to do. 👊🏾 Folks will say buy what you love. Don’t buy based upon a movie or tv show. Okay, but that’s nothing exactly enough to make informed decisions. Nor does that help you power through those FOMO fits that we all have. 🤣😂 Appreciate you bud. Be well.
Totally agree from an investment standpoint that right now is not the time to buy a Batman Beyond 1. I think that some people are speculating that with the new direction of the DCEU that it makes it more likely that an announcement will be coming down the pipe in the near term future for a live action film or series with this version of Batman. Totally agree on the other ones if your trying to purchase these books then its already to late as the releases of the films are upon us and this is when you should in fact be selling if you were to make any money since we don't know if or when we will see Rocket Racoon again after this new film and we do not even know how Blue Beetle will be received by audiences or he is even in James Gunn's future plans as this film predates his tenure. There are other books that are better to focus in on that still have films that are in active development. One book that I am always on the lookout for and that has a film adaptation in development is Harbinger 1 from Valiant. Very hard book to find raw in high grade and with the coupon.
Harbinger 1 is a cool book. I had my copy out a few weeks ago as I was debating sending it in for grading. I ultimately decided against it for the moment but we’ll see. Are they still moving forward with those Valiant movies? It seems like they hit a pause button after Bloodshot.
@@RegieCollects One of the last articles that I read from Screen Rant last summer stated the the Harbinger film had been moved from Sony over to Paramount and they were actively developing it. Though I don't know if they had any other plans for any of the other Valiant titles. I still have not seen the Bloodshot movie I heard it did not do to well.
Geez man, i feel like im the only guy that buys comics/slabs for ME and not for some future sale on eBay. I understand making money is great. However im not turning my hobby and joy for comics into a job and grind to make money.
9.8s are the first to sky rocket but also the first to crash. FOMO hasn’t come for IC5 yet. It’s in a weird spot that UF4 was before it became too obvious that he was here to stay.
Not sure if the data supports the notion of the first to increase, first to drop. It depends upon the 9.8 based upon the small sample that I looked at. Common 9.8s dropped along with lower grades. No so common had a smaller decline.
@@RegieCollects I agree . The data didn’t support UF4. It is logical to believe that speculators, investors, flipper(whatever you wanna call them) as well as collectors will attempt to secure the 9.8 first if they believe the book has growth potential. Data show that 9.8 are almost twice the value of a 9.6 and they exponentially grow . I do agree that the time to buy a 9.8 h with minimal risk was 2 years ago
Picked up a copy of that beetle book recently so I can get it signed at my local comic convention coming up. Jim Lee is gonna be a guest and he did the cover. If it wasn’t for the signing, I wouldn’t have bought the book though 😅
@@RegieCollects I actually got a CGC slabbed 9.4 from an eBay auction for 50. Seems like I got it lower than other 9.4 sales for past few months plus it was cheaper than raw eBay prices. Looked upgradable too. Can’t wait to meet Jim Lee!
Hi Regie! Big Batman Beyond fan here. Perhaps my recent experience can shed some light. I picked up a raw Batman Beyond #1 for around 300 earlier this year. Definitely above a 9.0 but probably not getting that 9.8 grade. I also found a rare 3rd printing (low grade) in the wild. I got those because Batman Beyond was my favorite show growing up. I love Terry McGinnis and the whole universe dearly, and Return of the Joker is still one of DCs best animated movies. I've been collecting and reading since I was in middle school. I've picked up some big books these past few years, but BB1 is still the one I've been displaying for the past few months. Absolutely love it. I don't care at all whether he shows up in live action. I hope I'm not boosting any spec with this comment, but maybe the rise in sales are tied to my generation (kids in their mid 20's) begining to get that chance to spend more? Or giving their parents ideas about what to spec in lol just a thought!
Timing is everything. If you wait a few months, you should be able to pick up some of these books for a better price. Just don't wait for Isolation 4 - it's cover price right now. 😁
Def alot of sales since market is correcting itself. Thus making this book cheaper and more affordable to buy(raw copies) . So it's cheaper than it once was. Recycled rumors is forsure a thing.
BB official trailer currently has 22 million views, that's damn good for a DC film that doesn't come out til August! Welcome to another one of my points! lol
I’ve been considering the Batman Beyond for awhile now. I think with the generation that grew up with it now getting older that the natural evolution in the DCU will be to explore this character in the near future. But I think I’ll just hold off a little while longer. Thank you for the videos Regie. Always enjoy them 🤘
I;ve got 3 copies of BB1 that I've had in my collection for a good few years now. None probably a 9.8 but probably 9.4/9.6s. I love the cover and kinda reminds me of Harleys BA12
Don't buy any comic that doesn't bring you joy or delight.
Yes. Buy what you love and you will never be disappointed.

Another amazing episode thanks for doing that research Regie!
You are very welcome bud.
ANOTHER GREAT SHOW TY FOR THE GOOD INFO

Good video here! Thanks!
Thanks for the list Regie. Might be a good time to sell Hulk 271 ?
Probably to someone that hasn’t watched my video. 🤣

That’s actually not the point of the video.
@@RegieCollects Hey Regie. I wasn't referring to you. I was making a comment in general.
Got it. In that case, I really don’t understand the comment. 🤣😂 All good. Take care.
That rocket raccoon is actually hard to find in a high-grade newsStand copy. I had one raw and sold it a couple months back for 80 bucks.
9.8s are the first to sky rocket but also the first to crash.

Batman beyond is My favorite character of all times I missed the days of picking that book up for $20
Please buy Spider-Man 2099 #1. I have been hoarding them since 2018 😂
Coming up on the next do not buy video: Spider-Man 2099 #1. 🤣😂
@@RegieCollects NOOOO LOL 😆
Batman Beyond #1 is one of my favorites in my personal collection. I was fortunate to get a CGC 9.8 for around $350 several years back.
I found a Beyond 1 when nobody cared about it and slabbed it, I do want Infinite Crisis 3 but il wait.

Congratulations on the books. 👊🏾
Before Gunn took over there were concrete plans to develop Batman Beyond
Batman beyond I sent a few to be graded, picked up a newsstand for a good price should be a 9.4 hopefully
I just picked up Infinite Crisis #s 3 and 5 for $5 each about one month ago at Books-A-Million. I’d say that was a good time to buy lol.
This video is about graded books versus raw hence the data that I’m showing. 👊🏾 Congrats on your $5 score. 👊🏾
I’m just hoping the beetle hockey stick goes a little higher. Just sent mine to cgc 😂bought it off the rack when the series debuted
The breakdowns are always interesting and informative
Regie, do you expect a surge on certain Blue Beetle books this summer?
A surge in sales volume but probably a steady decline in value.
Timing is everything. If you wait a few months, you should be able to pick up some of these books for a better price. Just don't wait for Isolation 4 - it's cover price right now. 😁
Batman beyond 1 has low census and cartoon was the best. One day it may be actual movie
