1:24 fruits and vegetables in the French Market. I wonder what year they moved the fruit and vegetable vendors from the North Peters Street shopping center to the end past Ursulines Avenue?
Historically the 'French Market' was just that; the food market for the French Quarter. My memory is not clear but I believe they started the trend towards tourist shops in the late 60s. I understand it was in 1975, when they renovated it that they effectively ran the foodies out and replace them with souvenir shops. In the past it served the residents, now it serves the tourists and tax base.
You know, what they say about life being "too short" is correct. Life span is about what? 75? I wish it was 3 times that number: 75x3=225. If the avarage living for anyone was promised to be 225 years of life, I think it would have eliminated a lot of life's sorrows and anxieties, and we could have enjoyed life a little longer. But living only an avrage of 75years sucks because before you know what the hell life is about, they tell you it's time to go. Well, that's not fair God! That's not fair.
Thanks, I was thrilled when I found the footage on archive.org. I edited it down and added the music.
Unedited version please!!

No.
Wish I could have lived back then. I can’t stand America today
