Having had a "roller coaster ride" through life, I've lived at great heights and great lows. That being said, I personally have nothing against true Luxury. Inequity and disparity are best left for another forum. But here's my impression of what the property is offering, and the design. First thought, the design is a very masculine approach. I prefer a lighter kitchen because it's easier to keep clean. My standard is form and function. Second I can't believe tankless water heaters weren't an option, nor a complete laundry room. That laundry closet is Very unappealing from an aesthetic standpoint. Third, the unit footprint is smaller than I had imagined. Fourth the lack of integrated electric shades for the rooms surprised me. I prefer to choose my own drapery. And Fifth, I can tell you from living in Kaka'ako myself, or as I lovingly refer to it, "the Mecca of noise" the people who bought into this will be subject to the same construction Noise nightmare and dustbowl that the rest of us already contend with. Home should be a sanctuary. NOISE pollution like smoke, travels up. The lack of sleep is litterally killing people. The idea of having a relaxing day at the pool, or moment on the balcony, well that's years in the offing. Upon inquiring about the property month's ago, I was told it was already pre-sold, out. If that's the case, then the building will remain largely unoccupied as the other towers do, and these units are a tax write off. I think if the units were customized, that might justify what I imagine will be substantial HOA fees. When you balance it out, even if I had "throw away mad money," this wouldn't be my cup of tea". I also have to wonder if these aren't in part resales.
