I just smashed my phone in front of 30 guests at my party because of the lack of timestamps on this video. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This man has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye Bill Simmons. I am no longer a fan.
Bill Simmons keeps destroying families. I just rammed my car into a retirement home because I couldn’t easily navigate this pod while driving at high speeds. If only he had taken the extra second to provide time stamps and actually think about his viewers
Big facts. As of 1 hour ago, I’ve become an alcoholic and picked up a paint huffing habit. My life is falling apart, I need time away from Bill Simmons.
Way to own it Peter! He said Jets would be in the AFC title game, and today, he is owning that mistake. Guy gets a lot right. It's nice to see him own up to the L's as well. We all got some L's on our forehead
@@christopherwilliams2351 I'm not sure what we exactly want from our sports media people. We hate them for not ever admitting their wrong. And when they admit their wrong, you get comments like yours. What do you even want man?
Thing I'm most shocked by is, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Buffalo. And the scary part is, it *is* a rebuilding year for Buffalo. And yet they are 9-2 at their bye week.
Buffalo’s defense has some of the league’s best kept secrets in Bernard and Benford. Taron Johnson also isn’t as much of a household name as he should be.
The Panthers gave CMC 17 million touches in 3 years leading up to the trade. I kinda expected him to be a declining player after all those touches; whether due to injury or the loss of a step.
Yeah, but the Vikings aren't blowing people out. Sure, they've already hit their projected win total. But Sam Darnold isn't looking like a MVP anymore. Oh, and every week somebody is just about to figure out the Flores D. Anyway, the Packers sure look like possible SB contenders. Yawn.
@ Almost everyone had the Vikings as last in the NFC North going into the season including Bill. You can be low on what their future success may look like but if we’re talking “surprises” there is no good explanation for not at least spending 30 seconds saying they are better than expected.
The one positive aspect of being a Browns or Giants fan right now is knowing that a highly drafted QB or veteran stopgap will be automatic upgrades. Even if the draft pick doesn’t fully pan out or the vet doesn’t go on some Baker/Flacco type run….it will still be better than an awful QB you’re paying $40 million plus per year to. Watson has fallen from elite to historically bad and Jones was literally never good, even at his ‘22 peak. Deshaun wasted true greatness because he’s such a horrible person and Danny couldn’t parlay being a great person into being a good QB. Both disasters teach a common lesson. Use character assessment to EXCLUDE not to INCLUDE. You should never acquire a player because they’re a great guy but you should avoid truly bad guys no matter the talent. No intelligent, calibrated, competent team builder/evaluator would’ve drafted Jones 6th or traded 3 firsts/fully guaranteed deal for Deshaun. Both were obvious errors in the moment that huge numbers of people, fans, analysts, writers, broadcasters etc objected to as they happened. Both groups were unequivocally correct. Bad ownership is the common thread….Mara and Haslem are inept in different ways but they share these two tendencies, especially with respect to the QBs. They make major mistakes then compound that error by refusing to admit it. Every owner/GM makes mistakes and they’re all capable of major ones given enough time but the good ones realize it quickly and adjust. The moment you realize an error you move to correct it, no matter the cost. Broncos traded premium picks and a few players for Russ, then handed him a huge extension to pair him with new HC Nate Hackett. The trade, extension, and hire were all huge mistakes. What happened next? Took them less than one season to realize Hackett wasn’t the guy so they fired him, eating him whole contract, while paying huge money and draft pick compensation to bring in Sean Payton. Cost them well over $100 million plus a premium pick to solve that problem but they accomplished it in under a year. They weren’t afraid to move very quickly, spend even more money, and lose another pick to set it right. Then they allowed Russ to play another year to let an elite coach assess him and burn a year of $$, but benched him that same season once they knew he wouldn’t produce at the level they needed to avoid triggering further injury guarantees. After the season they cut him, which required them to eat $85 ish million in dead money over the next two seasons….again recognizing sunk cost and accepting whatever they must to correct it. Now with an elite defense and rookie QB Nix developing week after week under Payton the light is starting to appear at the end of the tunnel. One more season of dead $$$ to burn, another draft cycle, another year for Nix to improve….think where they could be in 18 months. The 2025 draft class, the 2025 season, tons of cap relief thereafter, the 2026 draft class all culminating in year 3 Nix with a far better team around him ready to do battle in a loaded west. Not there yet but it’s coming. All because an organization didn’t allow huge mistakes to ruin a decade.
“You talk to some people in that building, and they love this guy! They really do” Hey Peter, literally nobody cares if the guy is likable when they can’t play on the field. *this isn’t about Drake Maye btw. Just a general criticism of that “insight”
Seven straight touchdowns to start a game! Bill, that must remind you of a playoff game a few years ago
Timestamps!!!!!
They are way to lazy for that.

He had no choice. He was so adamant about it he’s gotta save face.

@@christopherwilliams2351 bro no one is trying to save face lol? he gave a bad football take its not that deep
I mean bro predicted the last 5 super bowls. He doesn't need to own up to anything. He's a legend
Almost 2025, and still no timestamps..
bill and pete have the exact same voice
Schrager is to Simmons as Stevie Janowski is to Kenny Powers

and they may finally be healthy for the playoffs for the first time ever
Bernard wasn’t there last year against kelce that was the difference there was no hiding the Ferrari
yeah they were playing baylon spector and aj klein.... lol
We have the same owner, same GM, same HC, and same QB. Why would we have fallen off?
Vrabel to Chicago... yes please.
Josh Allen has that, "I'm dating a hot chick and I love life" energy. Good for you fella, live your life.

At what time do they discuss Bo Nix?
Bo Nix is 24...same age as when Burrow came into the league
Schrager is quite the fish.
Are they any good at betting ?
Peter makes my visibley cringe
Packers didn't play vs the Bears, my guess was the lookahead to the niners. They knew the Bears stink.
Uh oh guys..the dolphins have Drake Maye coming to Miami…
Bill you’re a grown ass old man, time for timestamps buddy
1:12:57 - criminal
The jets being bad is surprising?
Bill hates Philadelphia it’s so obvious. “I wanna pick the rams so bad”
Ye everyone does because the fans are top 2 most annoying
“Biggest surprises” and they don’t mention the Vikings once besides one comment from Schrager in the middle of a packers promo.

The Bills beat the chiefs in the regular season all the time. The win won't mean anything unless they do it in the playoffs.
The packers are the most overrated team in the league jordan love is legit bad he has more poor starts than good ones!
Bill Gates being sued by the Netherlands? 36 trips to Eps Island? Who he workin for? 🧐
Bill Gates is a certified creep.
Yoo haha you’re my favorite type of Internet personality

Two idiots talking football
Why does Bill give this empty suit any air time?
Bills beat the lions pretty easily in a couple weeks
that's insane. sure they could win but to suggest someone is gonna come into detroit and just walk the lions is absurd
Bill obviously has no clue about the bills , lack of knowledge
Happens every year
He never does. He is a basketball guy.
