Went out yesterday to see what I could get out of my XP with full battery. Went 21 miles went up 12 hills all with full throttle no peddling.When I got home I had 3 bars left on battery. It took 6hrs. to fully charge the battery again. Lets hear from other XP owners to see what their top mileage is on full throttle. This is a great bike. Was a blast riding in the country in spring time.
Love my XPs got three if you want to ride with someone you need more then one lol .for the money not bad get a thud buster seat pole really helps. Ps your into high of gear if your pedaling hard like that go lower and chill out. not say just saying

Well done video, I'm tired of all of my friends thinking because it's a ebike I can just hit the throttle and do nothing. Recording hills never shows up well on camera but you could tell those were some decent size hills

Jeremiah, Couple things for you. I do appreciate all of your videos regarding the ale trip bike as I patiently await my delivery as I ordered it 3 1/2 weeks ago. Really looking forward to trying it out the first time. Secondly as I see you riding your bike it looks as though you need your seat set up higher. As a rider for well over 40 years I would recommend that you have a slight bend in your knee as it would be better for your knees in the long run especially if you ride a lot. You can go to any good (participating) bike shop and get fitted properly. I am sure you will feel a difference especially on those longer rides. And lastly, you NEED to wear a helmet!! Whether on a road, parking lot or bike trail you NEVER know what or when something can happen. Especially when riding with one hand holding a selfie stick for goodness sakes! Two years ago I was riding in a dedicated bike lane on my way home from a ride and made it to within 4 blocks from my house when I was struck by a hit and run driver leaving me for dead in the road. I ended up with a severe concussion to go along with my brain bleed that needed surgery to repair known as a craniotomy! This was followed by blood clots that also almost killed me. You need to wear a helmet dude!
I got mine because of all the rolling hills in my area.. It does well, expect to slow down to about 11mph on very steep hills, pedaling does help. Best to plan your ride with some hills then some down or flat to cool off the battery and motor between hills. I don't think I'd want to go up a steep hill for miles, will overheat and battery will be stressed.
What a nice place to ride! Beautiful scenery. Where is this? Toward the end of the video it appears to me you could raise your seat a bit and get better leg extension, but I’m no expert. Amazing you can do all of that recording while riding!
Great orientation! Thank you very much. We live in the mountains of CO in a box canyon. One direction is about 4000ft climb over 13 miles....unrealistic to think it could do that. But, in the other direction, it is a 1000ft drop over 10 miles to the next town. I would hope we could do that round trip with this kind of bike.

I have to admit, I only watched the first half of the video and then fast forwarded to the end. I got tired just watching you climb that hill! LOL Seriously, great video and although it's work, it's good to know the Lectric XP will climb those hills!
With an electric bike it's just too much work pedaling like that to get up a hill, I don't want to ride an e-bike that you got to be out of breath and exhausted, for me the whole idea of electric bike is to let the motor do the work, if I'm going to put that much work into pedaling like that I'll stick to a regular bicycle, just my opinion but good video
You have a wonderful manner about you and you’re really good at teaching and demonstrating. I found you by typing in a search to find out how the bike does on hills. I’m afraid my driveway and logging road are going to be much too steep and I’m going to wind up having to walk the bike about 4/10 of a mile to get up on my hilltop. The paved road below my hill is fairly level with some gentle inclines and I think I’ll do fine. I just got my bike last week and can’t wait to take it out for some spins. Thanks for the tip on using an iPhone to clock the actual odometer readings. Great video. Thank you so much, Jeremiah. I have liked, subscribed and even hit the bell. If you think your legs are burning on that bike, try it some time on a mountain bike. I don't think you will be able to go that fast on a mountain bike either. Good video. If the speed o meter is off that much you may be going faster than it says.
Thanks for the video, and nice place to ride! Where we live, I have to ride a few miles on sidewalks and ruts to get to the decent paved paths, but it's ok. You should be able to adjust your wheel size in the control settings to get a more accurate mph. The third day I had my ebike, I got the hardest workout in decades. It was by choice, and it felt great!
Thanks for the great review. I see that you had the bike for about 5 months, have you had any interaction with the company? I am also looking at the Ecotric and there are too many negative reviews on Amazon and most are crap CS from Ecotric. At this time the Ecotric is $770 and the Lectric XP is $900. I've learned a long time ago that price is zip if the company doesn't solve problems/questions. Thanks again. What research did you do to make this purchase?
Before I purchased my bike I watched a ton of UA-cam videos. I researched every bike comparable in price online and read all the reviews and decided on the Lectric Xp because it gives you more bang for your buck. I believe that model of the ecotric that you are looking at for 770 is only 36 V and the 48 V model is around $960 and also does not come with a rear rack lights or digital display. I have had multiple interaction with lectric and they have been great every time. They sent me a new rack because mine was damaged in shipping and sent me some touch up paint for a few nicks and has always responded to any question I have ever had quickly. They are a great company to deal with in my opinion.

The quality of CS is my main deciding factor. I've learned a long time ago that price is the last thing that you factor in, on any purchase, unless you know that you are going to use it once and throw it away i.e. Harbor Freight stuff :o) I'm ordering one!!!

Wow ! great video ! 🙂 I watched the whole thing. Nowhere in the video do you tell us what the max PAS setting is which is too bad. Do you have up to PAS 5 ? .... What if you had used the MAX PAS level on your ebike, would that have made any of those hills a total breeze ? In PAS 2, you were using a lot of energy, that's why I'm curious how many PAS settings you have. Anyway a really good video ! it felt like I was there with you ! Great video I have watched a lot of yours always informative. I live in Maine and no matter what way I go it's up hills much like the ones you did in this video. I bought the Lectric XP 3.0 2 weeks ago have put 149 miles on it. But my motor is already making no g a strange sound I sent a video of it off to Lectric they are sending me a new rear wheel. I always pedal but hope it isn't these hills that made my motor sounds awful, it still has the same power it's just louder and higher pitched. I would like to know your thoughts pkease. I'm 51 years old 6'4 190LBS. Thank you keep making the great videos!
I like your videos on the Lectric XP. Thanks for posting them! I am interested in getting one as it might be good for some exercise. I'm 65 and need to get out more. I have had motorcycles and mopeds over the years and loved those. The XP might be able to allow me to start off "easy" and still be able to go someplace, AND return! The motor assist could help on the trip back, and the hills, especially. Couple of questions: This is an "assist" and I get it that depending upon the setting (PAS 0-5) the assistance is "nothing" to probably "mostly." So, I guess you start pedaling manually and the motor cuts in? Where's the throttle during all this? Or, do you (or can you) just start from a dead-stop, hit the throttle and it takes off like a motorcycle would? I am a bit lost as to how this differs from the way a motorcycle works, and how/when to use the throttle. Can you explain just how you are supposed to control this bike? Thanks!
So basically your assist levels are zero through five. When In zero it pedals like a normal bike , PAS one will get you up to about 8 mph or so, PAS 2 I believe is around 12 mph, so on and so forth. No matter what PS level you are on except for zero you can use the throttle just like a Motorcycle and it will take you up to 20 mph no matter what assist level you are in No matter if you’re pedaling or not and it is a twist throttle on the right grip. I hope this helps.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thanks! That does help a great deal. So, if you didn't want to pedal at all, you could just use the throttle grip like a motorcycle and off you'd go. Good to know. Also, I know it has Shimano Derailleur gears on it. I get how all that works if you are pedaling. I had my share of regular bicycles. Do these gears matter at all if you are 100% throttle? Charles Gage The throttle works independent from the gears. The motor is in the rear hub, so it turns regardless of what gear you are in. When you pedal you are reducing the amount of effort the motor must expend.

I'm considering getting an ebike. But I'm a bit concerned I'd be wasting my money. I'm 6'-3" and 270 pounds. I live in hilly Pittsburgh. I'm looking at the Lectric Xp 2.0 and the KBO Ranger. The Lectric has a 500 watt motor but 850 watt peak. The KBO has a 750 watt motor but only 900 peak. Mostly the riding around me is constantly going up and down. There one road near me that's goes maybe .7 miles at a pretty steep angle but, by choosing my route can avoid that long continuous climb. I would think in most situations the Lectric would be able to burst up the hills here. The Lectric costs almost half as much and the ability to fold makes it ideal for bringing it around with me. I would assume to climb up big continuous hills I'd want the KBO. However, in most up and down riding I'd think the Lectric with nearly as much peak power would be a good choice. I tried running some errands on my 18 speed mountain bike as a reference and found I had to walk it up a lot of hills. I used to live somewhere much flatter and feel like I can't go for a ride anymore.
Hey Yinzer! I know what you mean about hills, I live on one and would never be able to ride my non ebike down into town and make it back up. You Might want to consider a mid-drive bike if you are concerned about the hills and ride them a lot. If not I would probably go with at least a 750w nominal motor but you will probably still have to put some decent effort in up the hills.
@@JeremiahMcintosh So figured I'd tell you what I finally decided to buy. I just ordered the KBO Ranger. If I lived in a flatter area I would have gone with the more budget friendly Lectric. The Ranger has a 750 watt nominal rating, 400 lbs overall capacity and a 120 lbs capable rear rack which means I could feasibly even have a passenger. Maybe? I also learned about torque which after doing a lot of research I think should be more prominently listed. The Lectric comes in at a respectable 60 nm, while the Ranger comes in at 80 nm, meaning it should climb better. KBO also has a 14 day return period while the Lectric will only do exchanges. That gave me a bit more confidence that if things just don't work out I'm not stuck with a bike that isn't right for me. Anyway thanks again for all your videos. I intend to buy one of the bike locks you showed as an accessory.

Distance to and from is almost 5 miles both ways. I have hills just like the one you climbed, so this video SOLD me!
For hills and off road hilly trails, should I go with 1000w or 500w enough? So if you have all electric mode, going up hills with that will burn the motor? Wondering will bigger tires be better?
Thank you for the suggestion.I plan on doing a video without peddling but not on that loop. I would be risking Burning up the motor on some of those steep hills without assisting any power from peddling and don’t really want to mess up the motor. I’m not sure it will mess it up but I don’t want to take that chance either.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Don't do that, you could burn the motor, other reviewers do it cause they're getting paid to test the bike and if they burn the motor, no big deal they didn't buy it.

I actually bought a helmet but it is just so dang uncomfortable. I like the wind blowing through my hair but I know that’s no excuse And I should wear one. I usually keep my tires pressure about 20psi.

I don’t wear a helmet either, and I’ve fallen 3 times! (I blame it on my dog). I was always more concerned about my bike even though I was hurting. My head is safe so far..
Good video, when you find out what each p is for you may find the adjustment for the odometer. Video it mine is the same. My wife bike is quite different mileage then mine. I find not enough instructions in manual. Is there an app’s for that?👍🏻🤪🤓

Hey I've watched a few of your videos and they have been really helpful. What would you say is the best strategy to conserve battery? I'm fit and young so i don't mind pedaling, but I'm not sure of that is the best way. What are your thoughts?
Yes of course the best way to save battery is to keep the PAS setting on a low level and pedal as much as you can To help the motor. The best part about it is if you get tired you always have the throttle as a back up!

I watched your video because I was researching to see how the Lectric XP 2.0 does in hilly terrain. Unfortunately you were unable to provide the slope. I found an app called SLOPE that is free and will do this. I used it to check out the slope on the roads I will be riding to see how this bike handles them. Test the app and let me know what you find. I am very interested in the results.
Seems like a great bike for this climbing vid. I was leaning more toward something like BabyMaker, so I can go really fast in heavy traffic. But still haven't bitten yet. I just like the "stealth" E-Bike look, and the traditional road bike position. Mercedes-Benz has one that is crazy, but it's like > $5k.
It is 31.8 but 31.6 will work all you have to do is tighten the thumb screw a little more before you close the latch.. You will not find an aftermarket 31.8 suspension post unless you get a 27.2 post and a 27.2 to 31.8 shim. Links for everything in my videos are in the description below if interested.
It’s only going to give you so much torque regardless of the pas level and I generally try to keep the amp draw just under 20amps because it’s better for the motor and controller. In pas 5 you will be at the peak amp output the whole time no matter how hard you pedal on steep hills because it will want to go faster.
It seems that many XP owners are calling out the odometer issue, but not one of them has mentioned contacting Lectric about it. I just ordered two XPs and I'm not going to be satisfied with this. They should be addressing this issue.
I have heard that they have been working on a fix and that the newer bikes may not be like this but I’m not 100% sure. There has been people that have reached out to them according to the Facebook forum.

It looks like end of the month before they ship mine. But I did get a response from Lectric that they have received feedback on the odometer issue and 'the new bikes being sent out will have the setting adjusted.....' There was no comment on a fix for existing bike owners.
Hey could you maybe do a video for an ebike beginner like me as to what gears and what PAS modes are best for hills and what are best for flat terrain etc. I'm really confused as to what gears to be in to get different speeds with different terrains. And maybe if there is just a standard gear to stay in to avoid confusion and to keep it simple
I bought one,don't!!! Has terrible range o the highest setting 5 you only get maybe 4 MLS that's it,you have to struggle and put it on 3 and go slow for 10 mls!! I,m 205 pounds this guy is small,don't waste ur money like me

If u never test rode a fat tire bike DON'T buy one, it's weird, get a full suspension mountain ebike,will cost more but its safer and more stable,please do ur research they all lie about the range,whatever they say cut the miles in half
@@patc1309 the onyx and Monday ebikes are great and powerful, one goes 60 miles an hour both have 40 mile range with normal use,that's a man's ebike!! But I don't like there small tires,although they are thin tires which is good but I want a beast like vector typhoon or delfast ebike, these are very expensive but they will last 20 yrs and in the long run you save money

I'm wondering if my settings can be tweaked. I'm having trouble getting up even small hills. Lowest gear, pedaling, power set to highest [5], lowest gear, small incline on paved roads, I weigh 190 lbs.

New hydraulic brakes with a brand new extra pair , Top of the line Seat post and seat .3 mongoose tubes brand new, Tuffy liners, slime, mirrors etc.......Wife has 750 miles- mine has 1500 if your in Wichita lemme know ..We'll probably buy another pair of more expensive bikes , then sell ours as we use them a lot

I don’t think you would have a problem but maybe someone else here could comment or you can go on the Facebook forum and maybe someone else could let you know as well just to be sure. Thanks for the tip but When I’m filming while riding and trying to hold the camera I need to have the seat low so when I stop I could still touch the ground and don’t have to jump off the seat.
If your bike is under reporting mileage on the odometer chances are good that it's under reporting the speed on the speedometer as well. I wouldn't look to fix it or it'll limit the top speed of the motor (to a real world 28mph). At those speeds you may want to consider a helmet. Brains splattered on the road is a bummer end to a ride. Ride on & enjoy;)
I wonder why the odometer is so far off. I am thinking about getting this bike. Seems like about the right specs. I wonder if it would take a more street oriented tire.
Yes i can take a street tire. A lot of people have upgraded to one but I like the tires that are on it for where I ride. I have thought about upgrading but not sure if I want slick tires on the bike trail.
I have seen one person just recently make a video changing them to a suspension fork but it wasn’t cheep and looked hard to do. Also I don’t believe it was an exact replacement and he had to change the handlebars and stem as well as add some spacers.

About the same length 20 plus miles. But i never ran out of battery id say 23 24 maybe. But mostly flat.

You have a wonderful manner about you and you’re really good at teaching and demonstrating. I found you by typing in a search to find out how the bike does on hills. I’m afraid my driveway and logging road are going to be much too steep and I’m going to wind up having to walk the bike about 4/10 of a mile to get up on my hilltop. The paved road below my hill is fairly level with some gentle inclines and I think I’ll do fine. I just got my bike last week and can’t wait to take it out for some spins. Thanks for the tip on using an iPhone to clock the actual odometer readings. Great video. Thank you so much, Jeremiah. I have liked, subscribed and even hit the bell. By having the bike odometer show less than accurate distance, it makes the bike seems less capable to handle longer distances.
If you think your legs are burning on that bike, try it some time on a mountain bike. I don't think you will be able to go that fast on a mountain bike either. Good video. If the speed o meter is off that much you may be going faster than it says.
Thanks for the video, and nice place to ride! Where we live, I have to ride a few miles on sidewalks and ruts to get to the decent paved paths, but it's ok. You should be able to adjust your wheel size in the control settings to get a more accurate mph. The third day I had my ebike, I got the hardest workout in decades. It was by choice, and it felt great!

You would blow the FETS in the controller before doing any damage to the motor. That is why there is a current limit setting

I am also looking at the Ecotric and there are too many negative reviews on Amazon and most are crap CS from Ecotric. At this time the Ecotric is $770 and the Lectric XP is $900. Before I purchased my bike I watched a ton of UA-cam videos. I researched every bike comparable in price online and read all the reviews and decided on the Lectric Xp because it gives you more bang for your buck.
I believe that model of the ecotric that you are looking at for 770 is only 36 V and the 48 V model is around $960 and also does not come with a rear rack lights or digital display.
I have had multiple interaction with lectric and they have been great every time. They sent me a new rack because mine was damaged in shipping and sent me some touch up paint for a few nicks and has always responded to any question I have ever had quickly. They are a great company to deal with in my opinion.

The quality of CS is my main deciding factor. Wow ! great video ! 🙂 I watched the whole thing. Nowhere in the video do you tell us what the max PAS setting is which is too bad. Do you have up to PAS 5 ? .... What if you had used the MAX PAS level on your ebike, would that have made any of those hills a total breeze ? In PAS 2, you were using a lot of energy, that's why I'm curious how many PAS settings you have. Anyway a really good video ! it felt like I was there with you ! ( update - you also didn't tell us what size Ah your battery is.... 17.5 Ah ? 14 Ah ? ... this means a lot to your tests )

Even with an e bike, if my seat is too low and my knees cannot extend fully on the down stroke, my knees begin to ache a bit
Great video I have watched a lot of yours always informative. I live in Maine and no matter what way I go it's up hills much like the ones you did in this video. I bought the Lectric XP 3.0 2 weeks ago have put 149 miles on it. But my motor is already making no g a strange sound I sent a video of it off to Lectric they are sending me a new rear wheel. I always pedal but hope it isn't these hills that made my motor sounds awful, it still has the same power it's just louder and higher pitched. I would like to know your thoughts pkease. I'm 51 years old 6'4 190LBS. Thank you keep making the great videos!

Great hill climbing vid lucky your motor didn't over heat and burn out.maybe in gear 1 at maybe 15amps would of been safe thanks again.
I like your videos on the Lectric XP. Thanks for posting them! I am interested in getting one as it might be good for some exercise. I'm 65 and need to get out more. I have had motorcycles and mopeds over the years and loved those. The XP might be able to allow me to start off "easy" and still be able to go someplace, AND return! The motor assist could help on the trip back, and the hills, especially.
Couple of questions: This is an "assist" and I get it that depending upon the setting (PAS 0-5) the assistance is "nothing" to probably "mostly." So, I guess you start pedaling manually and the motor cuts in? Where's the throttle during all this? Or, do you (or can you) just start from a dead-stop, hit the throttle and it takes off like a motorcycle would? I am a bit lost as to how this differs from the way a motorcycle works, and how/when to use the throttle. Can you explain just how you are supposed to control this bike? Thanks!
So basically your assist levels are zero through five. When In zero it pedals like a normal bike , PAS one will get you up to about 8 mph or so, PAS 2 I believe is around 12 mph, so on and so forth. No matter what PS level you are on except for zero you can use the throttle just like a Motorcycle and it will take you up to 20 mph no matter what assist level you are in No matter if you’re pedaling or not and it is a twist throttle on the right grip. I hope this helps.

Also, I know it has Shimano Derailleur gears on it. I get how all that works if you are pedaling. I had my share of regular bicycles. Do these gears matter at all if you are 100% throttle? I'm guessing not.

Charles Gage The throttle works independent from the gears. The motor is in the rear hub, so it turns regardless of what gear you are in. When you pedal you are reducing the amount of effort the motor must expend.

I'm considering getting an ebike. But I'm a bit concerned I'd be wasting my money. I'm 6'-3" and 270 pounds. I live in hilly Pittsburgh. I'm looking at the Lectric Xp 2.0 and the KBO Ranger. The Lectric has a 500 watt motor but 850 watt peak. The KBO has a 750 watt motor but only 900 peak. Mostly the riding around me is constantly going up and down. There one road near me that's goes maybe .7 miles at a pretty steep angle but, by choosing my route can avoid that long continuous climb. I would think in most situations the Lectric would be able to burst up the hills here. The Lectric costs almost half as much and the ability to fold makes it ideal for bringing it around with me. I would assume to climb up big continuous hills I'd want the KBO. However, in most up and down riding I'd think the Lectric with nearly as much peak power would be a good choice. I tried running some errands on my 18 speed mountain bike as a reference and found I had to walk it up a lot of hills. I used to live somewhere much flatter and feel like I can't go for a ride anymore.

Might want to consider a mid-drive bike if you are concerned about the hills and ride them a lot. If not I would probably go with at least a 750w nominal motor but you will probably still have to put some decent effort in up the hills.
@@JeremiahMcintosh So figured I'd tell you what I finally decided to buy. I just ordered the KBO Ranger. If I lived in a flatter area I would have gone with the more budget friendly Lectric. The Ranger has a 750 watt nominal rating, 400 lbs overall capacity and a 120 lbs capable rear rack which means I could feasibly even have a passenger. Maybe? I also learned about torque which after doing a lot of research I think should be more prominently listed. The Lectric comes in at a respectable 60 nm, while the Ranger comes in at 80 nm, meaning it should climb better. KBO also has a 14 day return period while the Lectric will only do exchanges. That gave me a bit more confidence that if things just don't work out I'm not stuck with a bike that isn't right for me. Anyway thanks again for all your videos. I intend to buy one of the bike locks you showed as an accessory.

It is water resistant but I would put a bag over the display and control pad in heavy rain.

Thank you for the suggestion.I plan on doing a video without peddling but not on that loop. I would be risking Burning up the motor on some of those steep hills without assisting any power from peddling and don’t really want to mess up the motor.

I actually bought a helmet but it is just so dang uncomfortable. I like the wind blowing through my hair but I know that’s no excuse And I should wear one.

Hey I've watched a few of your videos and they have been really helpful. What would you say is the best strategy to conserve battery? I'm fit and young so i don't mind pedaling, but I'm not sure of that is the best way. What are your thoughts?
Yes of course the best way to save battery is to keep the PAS setting on a low level and pedal as much as you can To help the motor. The best part about it is if you get tired you always have the throttle as a back up!

I watched your video because I was researching to see how the Lectric XP 2.0 does in hilly terrain. Unfortunately you were unable to provide the slope. I found an app called SLOPE that is free and will do this. I used it to check out the slope on the roads I will be riding to see how this bike handles them. Test the app and let me know what you find. I am very interested in the results.

Seems like a great bike for this climbing vid. I was leaning more toward something like BabyMaker, so I can go really fast in heavy traffic. But still haven't bitten yet. I just like the "stealth" E-Bike look, and the traditional road bike position. Mercedes-Benz has one that is crazy, but it's like > $5k.

No that would put too much stress on the motor and controller and you risk burning it out. It doesn’t need much help but it does need help.
Hi, I was wondering for the suspension seat post for the 2.0, on their website the one they advertise is a 31.8, but you say a 31.6. Which one is it?
It is 31.8 but 31.6 will work all you have to do is tighten the thumb screw a little more before you close the latch.. You will not find an aftermarket 31.8 suspension post unless you get a 27.2 post and a 27.2 to 31.8 shim.

I’m new to the electric bike scene . Any reason why you were not in petal assist 5 when going up hills?
It’s only going to give you so much torque regardless of the pas level and I generally try to keep the amp draw just under 20amps because it’s better for the motor and controller. In pas 5 you will be at the peak amp output the whole time no matter how hard you pedal on steep hills because it will want to go faster.
It seems that many XP owners are calling out the odometer issue, but not one of them has mentioned contacting Lectric about it. I just ordered two XPs and I'm not going to be satisfied with this. They should be addressing this issue.
I have heard that they have been working on a fix and that the newer bikes may not be like this but I’m not 100% sure. There has been people that have reached out to them according to the Facebook forum.

It looks like end of the month before they ship mine. But I did get a response from Lectric that they have received feedback on the odometer issue and 'the new bikes being sent out will have the setting adjusted.....' There was no comment on a fix for existing bike owners.

Hey could you maybe do a video for an ebike beginner like me as to what gears and what PAS modes are best for hills and what are best for flat terrain etc. I'm really confused as to what gears to be in to get different speeds with different terrains. And maybe if there is just a standard gear to stay in to avoid confusion and to keep it simple
I bought one,don't!!! Has terrible range o the highest setting 5 you only get maybe 4 MLS that's it,you have to struggle and put it on 3 and go slow for 10 mls!! I,m 205 pounds this guy is small,don't waste ur money like me

If u never test rode a fat tire bike DON'T buy one, it's weird, get a full suspension mountain ebike,will cost more but its safer and more stable,please do ur research they all lie about the range,whatever they say cut the miles in half

@@patc1309 the onyx and Monday ebikes are great and powerful, one goes 60 miles an hour both have 40 mile range with normal use,that's a man's ebike!! But I don't like there small tires,although they are thin tires which is good but I want a beast like vector typhoon or delfast ebike, these are very expensive but they will last 20 yrs and in the long run you save money

I'm wondering if my settings can be tweaked. I'm having trouble getting up even small hills.
Lowest gear, pedaling, power set to highest [5], lowest gear, small incline on paved roads, I weigh 190 lbs.
That doesn’t seem right? Check the volts of the battery when it is under load and see what it goes down to. Also see how many amps it is using.

No you do not need the extender for just the cell holder. And the extender was a little tricky to mount where I did but it wasn’t to bad.

It depends how steep the hills are but In first gear with the motor it’s pretty easy but without the motor forget about it!

Saddle too low....you could get more range of motion on legs....hence more power in the peddle !
Thanks for the tip but When I’m filming while riding and trying to hold the camera I need to have the seat low so when I stop I could still touch the ground and don’t have to jump off the seat.

If your bike is under reporting mileage on the odometer chances are good that it's under reporting the speed on the speedometer as well. I wouldn't look to fix it or it'll limit the top speed of the motor (to a real world 28mph).
At those speeds you may want to consider a helmet. Brains splattered on the road is a bummer end to a ride.

Yes i can take a street tire. A lot of people have upgraded to one but I like the tires that are on it for where I ride. I have thought about upgrading but not sure if I want slick tires on the bike trail.

I read that the front fork has no suspension. Can anything be added?
I have seen one person just recently make a video changing them to a suspension fork but it wasn’t cheep and looked hard to do. Also I don’t believe it was an exact replacement and he had to change the handlebars and stem as well as add some spacers.
The purpose of gearing is to maintain your cadence not to maintain your speed.
