    Hi James! Great your video is so informative and it will definitely make path a bit easier to choose for people who are so confused with so many Tech's running around..
    Actually I am right now so confused to choose a tech within cloud and data analyst...when i was doing some research around I have got to know that data Analyst and data Scientist roles opportunities may be falling a bit down due to code interpreters in future....not sure how far this can be correct but please clarify....
    Please suggest what tech can be picked which will not fall going forward(Data analyst or Cloud platforms)
    Thank you very much!☺️ Keep rocking🥳

    I appreciate that he compiled a thorough introductory list and did such a complete review of salary expectations. I am curious of where he got his numbers and where he is. It is also important to note that some companies start at a different scale. For example, the software engineer applying to support a local hardware company’s website may get paid much less than a Meta SE entry level hire with a $50k sign-on bonus.

    I just finished a manual qa course. Is there enough of a space for manual software testers or do companies depend on software developers to do their own testing or just outsource this role overseas? I want to break into tech, but I don't know any code and I did some sql for a homework assignment. What do you recommend?

    • @ShiftToTechWithReg
      @ShiftToTechWithReg  8 місяців тому +4

      Manual QA is a fantastic job! In fact, I started my tech career in that position. ua-cam.com/video/ekZOTCYdQm4/v-deo.html
      You don't need coding for QA, though it is helpful to know it. Companies outsource many roles, for many different reasons. But thats not a reason to push forward on a QA track if you're interested in that space.

      If you're planning to leverage your background in finance and sales, learning cyber security and positioning yourself for a tech sales job for the many cybersecurity firms out there seems like a no-brainer. However, if you're wanting to move away from sales and become more technical, theres a few different pathways to pursue - the easiest would be getting a job in tech support for a large firm and continue developing your skills.

    Most of these aren't really "entry-level" jobs, and most will be hard to get into without a degree (and certifications in some cases, especially cybersecurity). There are some areas within cybersecurity that easier to break into than analyst (SOC analyst, etc) jobs, like GRC -- Governance, Risk, and Compliance -- because it's not _quite_ so technical, usually.

      DevOps means somewhat different things to different companies, but generally involves software and operations -- software engineering, containers, deployment pipelines, IaC-type stuff. There's _lots_ to learn there.
