I bumped into Vincent Price on Hollywood Bvd once in about 1990. He was hobbling along very slowly all by himself. I stopped and said hello and he was very friendly and asked where I was from etc. Real nice guy.
robaxx I met him once also, about ten years before that when he was doing his one man show about Oscar Wilde. I was working at the hotel where he stayed, which was just up the street from the Moore theater innSeattle, where he was playing. A wonderful man.
What you claim of Vincent Price is what I would approximate to be a glass half full … a glass never to be half or completely empty. Vinnie was much more, and when he smiled, the room would brighten, the women would woo, and audiences worldwide would stand in line to witness his brilliant live performances. He is so missed, as is his delightfully witty and wonderful wife, Coral Browne.
Absolutely Right !!!....The Panel was very Generous and Gracious to Him , Although they Knew Right off the bat !!!......( They were Also Really Enjoying His Antics Too , And wanted to Prolong His Stay !!!...).....
I think it’s because they’re much more sure of themselves and don’t take it all as seriously as someone who always needs to be a sympathetic character. They’re not as vain or as scared of losing the love of their fans.
Vincent Price was a great personallity, a true gentleman you can see that John Daly is laughing all the time about Vincent, haha. A great piece of television, and a great show!
They absolutely knew! Undoubtedly from his first singing response. Revealing his identity would have hastened his departure and they were all enjoying his company too much to allow that! If Dorothy hadn’t ended it, they would have gone up to the $50 limit.
Thanks! I just love "Vinnie". He was also an author. And he had a marvelous sense of humor! In the lecture he asked if we minded if he read us some Poe. . . then he gave that wicked laugh and said "because I'm going to do it anyway!" I also got to see him in a production of "Damn Yankees" - he played the devil and was absolutely perfect!
This never fails to make me laugh. Vincent just has a way of uplifting my spirits even when I'm in the worst mood. I only wish I could have met him once before he passed, but the existence of his film history helps make the world a better place.
This show is really good. I am only 22 and like old shows, and music from this era. 40's,50',and 60's were good years for swing, nice n easy, jazz, and folk music!
@@The90sGamingGuy that's fantastic! I can't even list any particular fvrts, all of his movies have been entertaining. But my picks would be Theatre of Blood and Shock.
I love Vincent Price. He is and ALWAYS will be one of my favorite actors of all TIME. GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU SO MUCH for your contribution to the acting world!
Such Class !!...Such Sophistication !!..Such A Gentleman !!!...Vincent Represented Hollywood At It's BEST , When stars were Real STAAAARRRSSS !!!!!.....
Vincent Price was sure handsome.I have seen many of his movies decades ago.He used to star in Hollywood Squares game show during the 1970s, and played on other popular game shows, too.
I saw an interview with Mr. Price many years ago. The interviewer asked where he got his accent. He answered (with a straight face) "I talk like everyone in my hometown, St. Louis"! John Goodman talks like a St. Louisan. John Hamm talks like a St. Louisan. I talk like a St. Louisan. Not Vincent, although he was born and grew up there to very wealthy parents. He bought his first Rembrandt sketch at age 12 with his birthday and Christmas money
Vincent Price was my favorite in those American International movies. I grew up with them in Chicago, my favorite " The Pit and The Pendulum". Wow, that was in the early 60's, before I became a hippie, left wing radical on LSD and protesting the war in Viet Nam and rioting at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention on Michigan Ave. The best years of my life !
varigdc10 You were one of the idiots that spit on my dad when he came back. If only you realized the government was the enemy, not your fellow citizens.
3:00 is my favorite part. I like that style of humor. I would have broken up with laughter too if Mr Price had done that to me if I were sitting next to him as the host. What a genial man.
There will never, ever, be another Vincent Price. How lucky we are to have his films so we can still hear that beautiful voice, see that handsome face, and enjoy a great sense of humor.
I'm amazed they didn't get his voice also. This is obviously before his daughter Mary Victoria was born, since he said he only had a son after the "Do you have two children?" question. Vincent, what a presence, and such a talented and intelligent man. He had a sense of humor too! Thanks for posting.
One of my favorite memories is that of seeing & hearing Mr. Price read Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" on TV when I was a kid. I get chills just thinking of it now. A brilliant performer.
House of Wax scared the daylights out of me when I was a kid. I slept with lights on and the covers over my head for years! Then I saw Vincent Price interviewed ... what a lovely lovely man. (Still slept with the covers over my head though ... :-)
Got that right, and when Sir Christopher Lee passes it will be the end of an era as the kings of cinema horror will all be gone though there performance will last forever.
There will NEVER EVER be another VINCENT PRICE...He was OUTSTANDING in every single performance, a true gentleman, cultured and refined...He was tall, dark and handsome...An art affectionado..HE WAS THE BEST...SORELY MISSED BY ALL! Missing you always!!!
Ah, Golden Age of Television. Love seeing this. Vincent is so "Brilliant" and "Talented" is just wonderful. Lovely Man. and so well spoken, and Elegant. so few people it seems like this anymore. not sure I belong in the 21st century. wonder what it would have been like, living in the 40's, 50's. Too cool I'll bet. 2009 Sucks.
Vincent Price, a screen legend..........not living in the USA I have never seen John Daly before but i must say what a charming and articulate man he appears to be.
Vincent Price could do it all. He could do drama, play a bad villain, could do horror and of course, he could do comedy. He was also a very intelligent and genuinely nice man. Thanks for the video.
Vincent Price is the definition of a true gentleman. So talented, sophisticated, handsome, that voice! OMG! and a fabulous personality to top it off. Now that is a truly admirable celebrity.
Ahhhh! I love Vincent Price. :D He was such an outstanding actor...every single one of his performances were brilliant. He's probably the only actor I wouldn't want to change any of his scenes.
I was away most of the day and finally was "allowed" into my house. It was my 39th Birthday vowing I'd never make to 40. Opening the door there he was kneeling in prayer: "What kept you, my boy!" My friendship with Vincent and his wife, fantastic Australian actress, Coral Browne was and remains one of the greater joys of my life. I miss them dearly. Hello, Vinnie. See you soon.
I bumped into Vincent Price on Hollywood Bvd once in about 1990. He was hobbling along very slowly all by himself. I stopped and said hello and he was very friendly and asked where I was from etc. Real nice guy.
That's GOOD. Very few people have that preliviage to do that! GOD BLESS HIM!
wow...
You were so lucky to have met him. What a gentleman Vincent Price was.
robaxx I met him once also, about ten years before that when he was doing his one man show about Oscar Wilde. I was working at the hotel where he stayed, which was just up the street from the Moore theater innSeattle, where he was playing. A wonderful man.
I have always liked Vincent Price. My mom met Mr Price, he gave a poetry reading.
If Vincent Price was alive today, I bet his instagram would be awesome.
I agree even to have Conversations With Vincent released
he seems like he was such a genuine and kind person. his laugh is quite infectious.
Vincent Price was class personified, a handsome, sexy man, fabulous actor, a wonderful, fabulous human being
How could you claim these things without having ever met the man and never having spent any significant time with him??
What you claim of Vincent Price is what I would approximate to be a glass half full … a glass never to be half or completely empty. Vinnie was much more, and when he smiled, the room would brighten, the women would woo, and audiences worldwide would stand in line to witness his brilliant live performances. He is so missed, as is his delightfully witty and wonderful wife, Coral Browne.
Yes Vincent Price was a handsome and sexy man, his smile adds to that. Too bad men don't look like him anymore.
Nobody sounds like Vincent Price, the first answer gave it away.
i started watching this video and was like "wow how is someone that iconic going to disguise his voice" and he just kind of didnt bother haha
Too bad more people in this world cant be like vincent price a really wonderful human being.
+robert szvetics There is only one Vincent.
thank you for all the up votes
Vincent gave himself away with the first question. How can anyone not recognize that voice right away haha
Eichiro John Agree. Can’t fool Mr Surf. They should use one word answers only. Yes or no.
Right?!
Absolutely Right !!!....The Panel was very Generous and Gracious to Him , Although they Knew Right off the bat !!!......( They were Also Really Enjoying His Antics Too , And wanted to Prolong His Stay !!!...).....
Why is it that the people who play villians are usually the most gentlemanly?
Charisma.
Talent in spades.
They don't want to scare people IRL who see them and instinctively go "Oh no, a villain!"
I think it’s because they’re much more sure of themselves and don’t take it all as seriously as someone who always needs to be a sympathetic character. They’re not as vain or as scared of losing the love of their fans.
I have all his movies.
Can we just stop for a second and see that Vincent Price sang in French...? X3 And, he's comedy is pretty good. "Everyone's older than Rock Hudson!"
I think more sexy than rock Hudson !
Vincent Price was such a class act! He spoke German, too. Saw him interviewed on German TV once.
How is just his laugh not a dead giveaway?
G2CondorJoe I was gonna say the same thing after just watching this, lol!
+G2CondorJoe That's probably what did give it away...
G2CondorJoe Exactly
Vincent Price was a great personallity, a true gentleman you can see that John Daly is laughing all the time about Vincent, haha. A great piece of television, and a great show!
HOW could they NOT recognize that unique voice? XD Only Vincent Price could bamboozle this panel of experts for any length of time!!
+chaosfive55 Agreed... one of the best of the mystery guests at fooling the panel.
I think they known, but was paid not say.
They absolutely knew! Undoubtedly from his first singing response. Revealing his identity would have hastened his departure and they were all enjoying his company too much to allow that! If Dorothy hadn’t ended it, they would have gone up to the $50 limit.
I wished we talked like that nowadays. Really classy and proper
David Brown start by saying we speak like that
That voice was simply amazing.
1950s question: "Does television see you with any degree of regularity?"
2014: "Yuh on TV a lot?"
2017: "You on Netflix?"
2018: Netflix?! Don't you have an android box?
2019: “gdhsjakanevevyshebshwhwbsh?”
You have said it
He is so handsome. God why was I born in the wrong era?
Same 😢
He's a serious actor who is a comedian. :)
I’d consider him a comedic actor.
Vincent Price is a world class talent!
a gourmet cook and an art expert
Who with his Wife Wrote a Lot of Recipes Cook Books also.
Thanks! I just love "Vinnie". He was also an author. And he had a marvelous sense of humor! I went to a talk of his when I was very young. He was wonderful.

Btw He did acid and hated the war too
Ahhh yes,the night Chicago died.
Vincent Price. There is so much to say about this extraordinary man. Magic actor, handsome and charming man, an unforgettable movie icon.
Even his signature is pure class! 💖💖
Coolest signature, too.
A man of culture, taste and humor, supremely talented actor. Totally missing in todays variety of clods in Hollywood.
I would go as far as saying...I love this man. Bravo to your life, Mr. Price. Bravo.
I would have caught on,that voice was always so unique.Loved his voice and movies.

The marvellous Vincent Price! A superb actor. I would have liked to have seen him do more theatre work since he was a man of enormous talent.
Gotta love Vincent pretending to be Italian/French/whatever to hide his identity
Because his real accent is/was a dead giveaway.
There will never, ever, be another Vincent Price. How lucky we are to have his films so we can still hear that beautiful voice, see that handsome face, and enjoy a great sense of humor.
Vincent Price had no peers He did it all and had so much fun cooking , collecting , acting etc.
Love Vincent Price ! I never tire of watching him perform ! He always was a fine gentleman!
one of the best actor and speaker
Vincent Price had a good sense of humour and unlike so many other "Actors" he did not appear to take himself too seriously. Which is refreshing.
I'm amazed they didn't get his voice also. This is obviously before his daughter Mary Victoria was born, since he said he only had a son after the "Do you have two children?" question. Pretty awesome fella.
Price's good friend Jane Russell talked about what an incredible sense of humor he had. This is a great example of this.
Lovely man!
I was happy to see the Vincent Price art center being built on the campus of the East Los Angeles College! 🦇💞🏴☠️😮
I am a life long fan of Mr Price. happy i found this youtube.
I have always found Vincent Price VERY interesting and loved all of his works, acting painting and cooking.
