I always thought being a SEAL would be cool, then I watched a video about a raid where the assault came from open water through an area next to a meat packing plant. The water was permanently inhabited by great white sharks and the SEALs had to swim through them... twice. Are you frikin kidding! Getting shot is bad enough but that's a whole new level. I can't imagine the courage required to swim, possibly dark water, knowing there are great white sharks all around. Mega respect.
Should have seen what they sent us through in training. I'd gladly trade a few great whites vs a night dive again... Just cuz it's training doesn't mean navy had control over whatever was using me as a bath toy 30m down. I ditched my tags because things like barracuda LOVE shiny... And lol everyone wants to be an operator until it's time to do operator $**t
Not to mention the microbial warfare from all that raw sewage and rotten meat only to be possibly told that the "disease and/or lost organs from the shark bite where not related to service" by the va. Much respect to those that dare.
Everyone in this channel is so chill and very like able even though they are some of the baddest if not the baddest our military has. One of my favorite channels on UA-cam.
Interesting on the "wet" discussion at about 7:50, found that the 511 trousers are amazingly water repellant. Went full into water and couldn't believe how well my 511 trousers dried out. When you're looking at carriers and such, drying out is SUPER important. Keeping your skin dry is important.
The amount of gear just boggles my mind, seems so heavy I'm sweating just thinking about it. Can't imagine the stress it puts on your body over a career. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Definitely going to incorporate some of this knowledge into my hunting kit where applicable.
Love the channel. I'm a former Marine and have to say you and your SEAL brothers, past and present, are hard-core. Nothing but respect. I was curious what blade you are running on your plate carrier.
Well I apreatate you showing this equipment the way the world is going its good to be prepared for the worst possible I was a navy seamon so I want to thank you for showing this equipment for sale. Thank you Sir
Absolutely loved this. How about a packing list based on environment. Specifically how to or what protocol you use for picking mission critical equipment. I'd like to see that process for decision making if possible!
As a civi without a support network I'd imagine your only scenario is to avoid contact and gtfo asap. You don't have medics coming, you don't have iv antibiotics or surgeons with sawzalls to remove shattered limbs. Your goal ON THE MOVE is evasion ALWAYS. Your goal for bugging in is to be the gray man. Unless you have a trained unit ( and even if) getting shot at is your last priority
Very good presentation. TNX. I have to get my hands on those jungle boots for my son. He is building down hill mnt bike trails in Central America. Killing his current footwear. Anyone know where we can find them?
Can you do the firearms version, I’d be interested to know what you guys got to pick/carry for the ops. Did you really get free choice of what ever weapon?
Would like to know what if any special consideration to weapon selection in a submerged or drenched environment would be critical to reliability and function, Optics, lights, laser, nods ect. How does the Tecno fighter address these challenges in harsh environments
I was an apache pilot, and the seals i worked with always had dark circles under their eyes,, I asked whats with the dark circles? they said that goes away with sleep... lol
@@dorr600 OH OK. That actually makes sense. I was thinking secret squirrel stuff. Lol. I've seen them around but everybody kinda ignores them going over their helmets. Thanks for the response.

What gear do u recoment to fight in forest ? When russia enter Poland i want have all grar and by ready to fight on my own land and after if i can or have to in forest. M4a1 + nvision ? 14,5 barel + mk25?
Do you attach the lanyard on the trigger guard if there is no ring for it? Do you attach the other end to the holster or the belt close to it? Great video! Of the knee pads on or inserts, which kind for what purpose? So many out there...hard shell, gel, memory stuff, combos. From other use my concern is that they stay where they should be. Any tips on those would be quite helpful. After lots of gear videos, using some specific gear used, like showing fast rope and climbing would be amazing. Go a step further and Hey, this Dorr and Coach in deep pool + commentary.
Do you offer training classes? Im in Las Vegas but wouldn’t mind traveling and am planning on moving to South Dakota. Also can you recommend a good long range training course? Thank you and God bless.
Yes, check out: tacticalhyve.com/tactical-training-near-me/ We have an opening for a class in Vegas in November and two spots open for our long range class in San Diego on Feb. 17-18.

Yeah and all the diseases you catch that the gov denies you ever having and won't cover
@@alvaroserna4588 It was an interview of D.J. Shipley on Shawn Ryan's channel. The entire interview was one of the best I've ever seen!

I second this!! Never seen those frog tops before. Almost like a MAS gray.

@Bern Cause they don't have anything to prove probably.
For them, that’s what the signed up for when they took the jobs. Yes, it’s badass, but they are humbled by their experiences. It’s so respectable.
It's the ones compensating that are the washouts. The ones who made it know that ending the argument is only 60psi away
I was at sigonella italy. When a seal team was doing a predeployment load out. Their gear took up a hanger floor. Loaded it on a C130 .

Hunting kits need water, radio and a tourniquet. That's about it. Maybe some peanut butter and salt tablets.
You're a good man sir, thanks for your brutal honesty. You're a great leader for Christianity.
Never seen a gear breakdown like this. Love your content Dorr!
This will help me out a lot with all my maritime assaults.
Dorr, this is sick.....more please.
This guy is definitely a warrior!!

Very interesting and I learned a lot. Thank you.
Good work Dorr, thanks.
Dorr appreciate the content. Did you ever get a chance to run an MP7 before getting out? Everyone that shoots them seem obsessed.
Hey Chaz yeah I shot them. Fun gun but the 4.6mm is a bit small for general use.
Your best Vid ever. Really enjoyed it.
MAS grey is the coolest color for gear
I regret everyday not trying BUD/S. What a great bunch of guys.
Cool video man. Really enjoyed this. Thanks.
👏👏 Thanks for sharing! I also liked the boot video 👊
Great information!
Lotta gear. Interesting and informative.
Thanks… I sincerely appreciate your Service
As far as helmets I really like my Team Wendy bump helmet. Great video.
Where do you get those belt mounted C02 bouy’s?
Great vid as always.
What is that brand of combat shirt on 7:30? Thank you for help, guys.
I don’t know. No brand info. I think London Bridge made them.
Fantastic info, thanks

Did those two navy seals not have flotation plates??
Thanks for the great content, Dorr
Were you in the NAG for the MIO ops south of KAA in 02? I met some of those NSW guys. They were nuckin futs.
No Joined the Navy in 02.

Can you make a video about cleaning and care the gear and weapons after (salt)water training or mission?
I've seen the black mount thing between the strobe and the rhino on the bump helmet multiple times. What is the mount for? If it's opsec I get it.
I think your asking about the GoPro mount.

Good shit!
Who makes the balaclava/black face mask is it nomex.
Probably black hawk. Most were nomex some weren’t. That one was.
Chucks, operator approved lol
What is your mess kit like? Favorite mre, water purification etc.. do you carry a lighter etc..
No to all of that. At most a camelback maybe an energy bar. Fast in fast out. Thx for posting

Going in heavy as a SEAL makes you very grounded.
What brand were the green/black jungle boots?
Altama. But they were resoled before I got them.
I do have a question about Blake carriers how come you guys did not play around with some of the Mayflower stuff
Love the content covering gear you guys used!!!!
How about we talk about the Glock Maritime spring cups.
What gear do u recoment to fight in forest ? When russia enter Poland i want have all grar and by ready to fight on my own land and after if i can or have to in forest. M4a1 + nvision ? 14,5 barel + mk25?
A good medium weight hiking boot is a good option.
Soo was run small or big? Anyone with any experience with them? Besides Dorr.
Good stuff
Again, great vid. What we use, How to use, Why we use, vs. "tacticool". The reald worl is unforgiving to the novice!
What kind of plates does he use???
Usually lvl 4 stand alone plates that are neutrally buoyant in the water.
Love it
Where can I buy that type 3 frog gear , I’m a Seabee and I don’t wanna wait till it’s issue to me I wanna buy my own
Awesome

No, I don’t think attaching anything to the trigger guard is a good idea. I generally use the knee pads that comes with the pants.
So feel free to make fun of me for not knowing but I’m curious. What does maritime mean?
On/ in the water
What color is that newer helmet? Is that a green or gray? Ocd wise is bugging me

Hey was wondering where you got the floatation pads the light gray ones you were holding where you stick them in carrier
They are issued with the carrier. There are compartments to put them in.
Have you ever worked with jocko
We crossed paths quite a bit when I was starting out. I worked for his friends. Cool guy who led by example.
Converse is really missing a big selling point apparently. 😅
Jungle boots: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
I mean it’s good to have jungle boots, but a lot of us got by by wearing pantyhose over socks, better results for protection, wear pantyhose and then put your socks on and then put pantyhose over I need for guys who did that but I stick with the jungle boots, but those of you guys plan to take jungle training and if you know there’s leeches which is common sense wear pantyhose my daddy was LRRP back in Vietnam he gave me the good advice before jungle Trining it worked well for me, and in real world
What ifs are the shit
altama (maker of jungle boots) makes maritime chuck taylors that fit in fins....
How does all the old gear smell coming out of storage?
Like work.
When you mention jungle boots i used to wear pantyhose all of us did for leeches
Where is the bottle of Jack?
Dig it...
I really like that plate carrier. Do you what lbt model number it is.
No sorry. Gear just shows up at work.
6094 id guess
What was the hardware in the vest for?
Do you mean the UTD life jacket? That is the Actuator that fills it with CO2. The cartridge is missing.
Didn't quite get how you plan to keep yourself hydrated.
There is a bladder pouch on the back of the plate carrier.
He works in water, so he can drink that
Dont forget the Mil-Spec Navy issue Beard that they handed out in Afghanistan LoL
Does maritime mean at sea..
Yes. Anywhere there is a large body of water.
Great video but that's actually Army maritime assault gear. The Navy doesn't have any of those things.
They go to a store to buy protective equipment for violent operations.
