Story One: OP did what was necessary. She is a survivor and resilient and did what was needed to protect herself when no one else would have because do you honestly believe that, had she gone to the police herself, that they would’ve done anything at all to keep her safe? In their eyes, she was nothing but a juvenile delinquent-Squarejaw knew exactly what he was doing and he thought he had a fail proof plan. What he didn’t plan on was getting outsmarted by a teenager. The thing that he underestimated is that survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse and the like are incredibly resourceful and resilient. I heard it put perfectly recently-she is not a victim; she is victorious. While I don’t condone criminal behavior, in general, I also don’t condone pedophilia and grooming and if she needed to do a little bit of lightweight crime as a means to an end to put a stop to her abuse because NO ONE ELSE WOULD HAVE, then of course she should be able to do that to keep herself safe. But, the problem lies within the system. She shouldn’t have to resort to that to begin with. The system should keep her safe to begin with.
Putting a camera in the parents bedroom was likely the only way OP would be believed without a hailstorm of crap being thrown at her. I told, that my mom was abusive, and didn’t take care of me. That got a woman in my living room yelling. Nothing more, this lead to the worst beating of my life, administered by mom’s flying monkey, my Dad. So, OP’s camera was morally questionable, but expedient and explicit without having to stand and spill unwelcome and unproven information.
what i’m getting from the first story is that criminal knowledge, like virtually every other skill set, is a tool. That OP is some sort of miracle. Her future was looking like the worst kind of everyday horror story, and she saved herself. Just… damn, girl.
The abusive “dad” story was hard to listen. But what was far worse is that OP’s mother allowed it all to happen and just told them a friggen lie every time he hit them. She is no mother. He’s no human, but she’s equally the piece of human crap, trash, scum, any other vile stuff. A mother is supposed to protect her children, she should’ve left him for good after OP’s first hit.
37:55 This story was incredibly fake. It sounded like a Hollywood script. Not real in the slightest. Creative writing exercise with someone with a vivid imagination and watching too many Hollywood movies.

Foster brother story: I guess they aren’t in the US. In the US, foster kids get free college as long as they go to an in state public school.
Isn't the first story from 2023? This is probably my 4th or fifth time hearing it
