Big tip: Don't get pressured to do endgame content. Things like the forgotten hall and swarm disaster aren't going to go away anyways, and the amount of stellar jades you'd lose is negligible. Focus on building your characters so that you don't lose braincells retrying Forgotten hall for hours.
People simultaneously saying "don't level 4 star relics" and "don't farm relics until level 60" drive me bonkers. You don't lose that much XP just recycling the levelled one back in, and it makes the game so much less frustrating to have them. Heck, sometimes a levelled 4 star with good substats proves worth holding on to for a while if your farming luck is bad.
True comment and funny thing is most people don’t understand this game is turned based team building is more important than rushing end game. And people can’t say who is good or not because you can complete the whole game with all the free to play champs they give you with proper gear so please 🙏 don’t listen to all content creators
1) Don't under value the starter free team ( March 7th, Natasha, Dan Heng+Fire MC ). In particular March 7th, to date, still the best 4* shielder and is free. Gepard eventually will snatch a 50/50 and Fu Xuan will have a re run. 2) Consolidate a good core team ( tank, healer/buffer, dps ) to farm the initial stages in game, even following the story can put the player against mobs that can one shot the entire party. 3) Traces before relics. Passive traces in particular can improve general performances and are not bound to any RNG. 4) Ignore the bs of not levelling up 4* relics unless one wants to suffer for no reason. 5) Ignore Forgotten hall beyond the quest and surely ignore it beyond floor 15: one can grind that little by little. Ignore Swarm Disaster and memory of Chaos at least untill having very well built teams ( 2 for MoC). Don't neglect Simulated Universe: excellent source of relics and also talent/ascension materials. It can be cleared with calm in more than one sitting, the rewards are worth the investment. 6) If you don't have Bronya, skip Seele unless you want to spend ages killing mobs one by one slowly. 7) If you get Welt: build him. Imprisoned mobs don't attack, ez. 8) is a game. Take it easy.. :)
If you're a new player, I'd genuienly consider skipping whatever "DPS" banner that's running and wait for either Silver Wolf or Luocha (and potentially Fu Xuan, if you're patient enough). These 2 (3) character's fundementally change the way you play Star Rail...
I gave up on the reroll when this game was released. 3 accounts got Yanqing in the standard banner. On the 3rd account, I got Gepard early so I main that account.
I rerolled for like 4 days... until I got an account with e3 seele on the first 40 pulls.... I kinda decided that pressing my luck wouldn't get me much more than that. (that's my main, obviously)
I did this because I had buyers remorse so I restarted on Kafka banner in 1.2, F2P. Honestly the only thing I’ll miss is Silver Wolf’s event light cone
I find it extremely funny that people always put Lynx over Bailu but my Lynx has left me for dead a few times where my Bailu has never failed me 🤣 so I’m just like what is my Lynx doing wrong 😂
I think Lynx was just overhyped. I mean she's good against Kafka or Ebon deer that has crowd control debuffs. But there are far more situations in which enemies don't have cc debuff. Imprisonment and entanglement isn't much of a problem either because you're already slowed down after being debuffed so cleanse doesn't help much. Plus her taunt isn't really that effective in high level enemies as they have higher effect resistance. And people back then were against pulling for Luocha as a healer for Blade because Lynx was anticipated to be a better synergy for him. Of course, Lynx will always be a viable healer if you don't have one yet. I just don't think she's as good as people make her out to be. People just love to theorize but it often doesn't translate well into practice. Always take the tier lists with a grain of salt.
I rerolled once and my second account got me Seele in the first pull. I could save all the pulls that would’ve otherwise gone to try getting her, so I’m glad I didn’t stick to my first account (which was pretty unlucky)
didnt know there was a site for seeing your pulls. So i just checked mine and i think i got a pretty goated account now. 536 pulls. 10 five stars. average for 5 star is 50%, 50/50 win rate is 57. pull pity went as such: 22^, 46v, 75^, 22v, 32^, 82v, 73^,74^,71^,5^ ^ = won pity, v=lost pity. I got Fu xuan twice at the end just trying to get lynx once

you can, but the thing about this game is that the set effects of some of the relics kinda goes wild. what i mean by this is for example, i run the physical set on my jingliu, despite her being ice. that same set on DHIL, despite him being imaginary. the fact of the matter is is that generally for DPS, great rolls into substats will have a bigger impact than the set effects. the quantum set for example right now is shaping up to be the most "meta universal" set, where anyone can use it and have solid gains.
I started with the ps5 version and didnt know anything. But i got a nice starter character with clara and got jingliu within 80 pulls. So im pretty happy with that. With all the first time jades i got saved up i can attempt to get topaz with around 120 pulls. Then i can use clara and topaz in my first team and jingliu in my second

In about 150 pulls on character banner, I got Fu Xuan, Welt in the next 10 pull and then Jingliu on ~80th roll. In the weapon banner, I got fu xuan signature in first 10 pull and then jingliu in next 30 pulls. That's my 2nd account and I'm kinda invested in it too

Not every game is going to do it for everyone. Every game-producing company has an agenda to make money. People who sell copies need to hype up the game until release, then the actual game can be mid. People who sell games that are ongoing patches like Hoyo need to keep people coming back for new patches, so they’re gonna try instill fomo on their limited events. These are the games we have to work with, if you can’t live without gaming, so yeah Tl;dr try games from a company that has a different selling strategy
My Advice to all rerollers ... ( and I rerolled a lot, tho I have 3 "Old" main accounts that I always keep) 1) DO NOT go over TB Level 40 UNTIL finishing the main story up the the current event... it will make it MUCH easier to kill all the "elites" even with a shitty build / units and no good gear.... I know some people will say "oh, but at a higher level you get better gear"...yes, but things also become harder... if you stick to TB level 40 till you catch up you will be able to clear everything without a worry and without the need to farm..... note: this also allows you to play around with units since the first levels / traces are easy to acquire...meaning you can test out teams and see what you like. 1.5 ) Don't worry about MoC, beat it when you can... it is no worth rushing it to get a few jades if you need to spend a lot of jades in order to do so.....and spacing out your gambling / pulling will make power creep much less likely to hurt you. 2) Reroll for a very good unit / team to start off and then save .... it takes time, but it is worth it. 3) Gepard and Bronya are the best options -> Bailu, Clara, Yanking and Welt are acceptable (if you can get Lynys, ignore Bailu ).... Himeko should be ignored always, I know so people make her work but she is not worth the effort.... I don't care how hard people cope, she is not worth it, Yanking at least can be very good for simulated universe. 4) If you are ok with being a low spender, buy the daily pass... overtime it is very worth it (only if you got the money to spare) 5) if you want to farm a set, get to the "end game"....then farm the speed + hp sets thingy, it may not be the best for everyone, but it can be used by everyone...you'll be able to gear out all your units, and focus after that on specific sets fo each. 6) Pick the male MC.... I know the female one is female, but her fashion sense is a disgrace compared to the other female units... the male one looks cool. (ok, this one may be a bit more personal)
I have a white/gray hair only account, which leaves me with Preservation MC as my only sustain. I also didn’t have Jing Yuan because I started the account very recently, so you can imagine it was a challenge keeping him alive for the fight 😅 I don’t think I would’ve been able to complete this fight if I hadn’t been at low EL cause my saving grace was that the game probably still regarded MC’s shield as viable at that level lol

I didn't know leveling relics from 12 to 15 is the same as 0 to 12. I've been doing it wrong the whole time 💀
It's the same as Genshin. Artifacts 0-16 is the same as 16-20

Luocha is cracked, expecially if equipped with the Broken Keel planar set.

bailu has invogoration* (mind the spelling) so basicly enemy hit auto heal.

Question: For Dan Heng there is not a case where he is worth building, because when you farm artifacts for Jing Liu, you also farm wind set?

Time gated progression is a good thing... gatchas are meant to be taken in small doses, not long play sections.
