I have always wondered why older Chinese game stuff is usually just Japanese copies. Besides them being closer to Japan wouldn't it be more likely for a Chinese person to speak English? Or did they not do any NTSC-U/pal stuff because of geopolitical issues?
That is one of the most popular game stores in Beijing back in 1990s. The lady and her cat are famous in the old gamer population.
