What parents need to know about Duchenne muscular dystrophy

- This video explores the most common muscular dystrophy in children called Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder. DMD is explained through signs and symptoms, pathogenesis, diagnosis and disease progression. Studies were used to explain the benefits of exercise as well as treatment with Deflazacort.

How will you diagnose if the patient has normal crp report but have all other symptoms of DMD ?

What about girls, it’s unlikely but it happens?
This genetic disease, which causes progressive loss of muscle function, is in fact seen far more often in boys than in girls - but girls and women aren't completely excluded from getting it. Most women who carry a genetic mutation that can cause Duchenne won't develop the condition
