    Lmao people says he sucks, he has no o-line to run behind but can put up over 1,000 yards that saying something

      I love Melvin, I think he is a good player, and is improving to an elite player.
      However, you cannot say he didn't have a line this year. Not an excuse in 2017. That line gave up the least amount of sacks in the NFL, and had a great left side.
      They weren't a good o-line, but to say he had no line is ridiculous.
      Again, clarifying, Melvin had a great season.

      SDs OL is a good pass protection unit but they're not consistent in run blocking. I'd say they were still bottom third in that department.

      rekke41 This is true. I’m just saying they weren’t a “awful” line. I’d say they were pretty average. Granted, at best, average run blocking.

    I myself, am not an athlete. However, for anybody watching this video and that is reading this you should definitely read up on this man's work ethic while he was at UW. He was doing football drills at 3 AM in his front lawn texting his teammates, asking them what they're doing to improve themselves. I remember when he was a skinny freshman, about 2 steps slower, stealing Montee Ball's and James White's carries off of easy jet sweeps, thinking to myself, "why on Earth are the coaches so high on this guy?" I can see why now. People think it's so much about talent and a good portion of it is. If you are a middling athlete at your level right now, you can become very good if you just put the time and energy in. Seriously, study this man's work ethic and realize what it takes to unleash your potential.

      pete jones If you couldn’t tell how talented he was as a freshman then you don’t know football. He was a high school track star, might honestly be slower now than in college because of the weight he’s put on. Not knocking his work effort, but he’s always been an incredible athlete. His weightlifting numbers in college were absurd too.

    Melvin hasn't reached his full potential. With Lamp coming back and a good center he could explode. Look what Alex Mack has done for the falcons.

    Thank you for posting those numbers at the end. According to the numbers, Gordon averages out as the #5 running back in the league.

    He's getting better! He's not LT or AP he's just not that fast. Strangely where I see similarity, is Marshaun Lynch, except Gordon is a much better reciever. He's not a Beast Mode runner yet, but it seems like his game is trending that way. I'm very intrigued to see which direction the Chargers take him. He's pretty damn good at everything, and he's improved since his start in the NFL. Disregarding his injury history, there is almost a Frank Gore aspect to Gordon. I hope he's around for awhile......we'll see.

      was LT fast? ik he was fast but he wasnt super fast. leevin gordon is good at finding holes, but yes, he isnt fast

      @o.j.pimpson8479 6 років тому

      low 4.5 or high 4.4 is fast there's so many great backs and hall of farmers dat did run 4.3 by any stretch and still balled out. Gordon was hurt last year but if you check out his 2016 highlights he played with alto more speed

    I still don't think this is his best, if he can get hit behind of the line of scrimmage and still gain a 1000 yards imagine if he had gotten good blocks what he would of done.

    He always flashes his talent but has always had to run behind a below average offensive line. I think next season with an at least average offense line he will have a break out season
