Rusty German Vintage Corner Pipe Wrench Restoration 'GEDORE'
In this video I am restoring an rusty German corner pipe wrench. It was manufactured by 'Gedore' Company.I bought this wrench from Flea Market.
I began the restoration by removing loose rust from the wrench with a wire brush. I then disassembled the reach. I chose vinegar to remove the rust from the wrench. Then removed of the casting marks from the wrench and repaired the teeth. Cold bluing on the wrench to protect it from rust. Then painted one part of the wrench and buffed one part. After restoring all the parts of the wrench I assembled the wrench.

This nut will rust but not quickly if the tool is used, there is very little chance that the nut will rust.Thank you so much ☺️

You are right, red or army green color looks good on the lever. But the sky blue color is similar to the original color of the wrench.

Very odd color choice and part that was painted. I cant find an original image of this model of wrench but im betting they didnt use this color in Germany back then on tools. Poor "restoration" due to paint.

Not really a restoration, just a cleaning. There was no advantage in taking out the pin.

I beg to differ. It allowed greater movement of the jaws in order to allow access to better clean and restore the wrench
