Hey first of all thanks for this informative video. I followed all your steps, but how do I know it worked? Because I went to the Ad studio and it says I haven't done an ad yet but I paid for the ad. So how long after payment do you know whether your post is boosted or not
@@khayencheliesther3423 Make sure Ads Manager is set to the correct time frame. It may be reporting for a time period in which you're not running the ad. You'll see the date range in the top right corner if you're on desktop.

Thank you so much for subscribing! My understanding is that housing ads are allowed if they're marked as a "special ad category", and that may have to be on a business page ad or through Ads Manager. Honestly, I haven't been keeping up with FB since I shifted my channel's focus to LinkedIn, but I hope this gives you some guidance!

Thanks for asking, Kimberly! The budget is the cost over the lifetime of the ad. So if you set it for $20 for 5 days, you'll spend $20 total over the 5 days, as an example. And I'm so glad you liked the video!

I tried to boost a post but Facebook selected a different photo of my collage and keeps posting it on the feed. It's the worst photo in the collage and I don't know how to change it. I'm hearing the algorithm selects what photo to boost. It's very annoying Facebook keeps posting only one photo in my collage and it's the worst photo in there. Now it's getting likes and views on it.
Thanks for mentioning this. In general, single images work better than collages, anyway (even from an organic standpoint). If you can, stop the boost and create a whole new post that focuses on just a single image - then boost that. Best of luck!

When you run a ad for 7 days and your budget is $40.00. Is that $40.00 for the 7 days, or $40.00 per day, spending a total of $280.00?

I can't seem to boost my post in Pro Mode if it is a special audience (Housing)... do you know how to do that?
That‘s correct, Sara! The Special Ad Category isn’t allowed in Professional Mode. You‘d have to boost/advertise through a FB business page. I‘m not sure why FB is so restrictive in Professional Mode, but that‘s how it is right now. (Note: You can have both Professional Mode and a business page at the same time). I hope that helps!

Sorry you can't see the boost post! Check on Facebook help, as they may have updates on why certain accounts can't see it.

Thanks for asking! FB gives a really thorough (and long) answer to the whole billing thing, and it should clear things up. Type „when do you pay for FB ads“ in Google and you‘ll see an article from the FB business help center.

Thanks for asking! You could build a audience where you’re targeting people who have engaged with your content. It’s through “custom audiences”. You have to do it through Meta Business Suite. I don’t have a video on this, but hopefully this helps a bit.
I have not used facebook ads in years. I went into the ads manager to update my credit card. It asked for my location time zone. For some reason it was set to Los Angeles time zone. I am on the East coast and changed it to New York. A message comes up "Updating your time zone requires a new ad account". "Your old account will be permanently closed, but you’ll still be able to view it. All ads created with your old account will stop running." Do I just leave it at Los Angeles, or create a new account? Never lived on the West coast.

I can't find this anywhere, but I want people to share a boosted meme, but when I or they click the boosted post, it just takes them to my profile. Also I wasn't getting any shares, so I tried sharing it, and it also just shares my profile, not the post. Any ideas on what's wrong? Thanks.

SO as a real estate agent I would like to only boost to my followers that are local to me. SOunds like 1. Real Estate cant be boosted. and 2. You cant boost to just your friends list/followers. Is that correct?

When I boost a post, the "button" feature cuts off some of my image. When in the preview section before boosting the post, it does not show the ad being cut off. Super frustrating!

You showed a screenshot of a facebook ad, but you did not show how to change the title, text, description on the grey area where the link button is. Cannot seem to find this on boosting a post only in ads manager but cannot seem to get ads manager to work with professional account as asks for a facebook page

Did you need to connect this to an ads manager to have this option to boost? There is very limited resources available about beig able to boosts posts with professional mode. I have professional mode, but am not seeing the ability to boost yet.
Thanks for asking, Nicholas! You don't have to be connected to Ads Manager, as I know someone who only has a personal page/professional mode and got the boost post button, too. I have heard recently that this feature may have only rolled out in the U.S., in case you're outside the U.S. Otherwise, I'm not sure why you're not seeing the option. Thanks for asking! When you're in Ads Manager, your ad might not show if Ads Manager is set for a different timeframe. Make sure the date range is set right.
With Professional Mode, can you create new ads with new content or can you only boost existing posts?
Thanks for asking, Deidra! From what I can see on my own account, I can only boost existing posts - I can't do anything with my professional account on Ads Manager, like create new ads. That may change in the future, as FB is always changing!

I want to be able to boost posts, but I don't have the option to switch to professional mode. I have been all over the internet and nothing seems to work (restart, try on a different device, etc.). No matter what, when I click on the three dots, I don't get the option at all. At first I thought because we didn't have a Page, only the personal account, but the info I've gathered differentiates between Professional Mode and Page.
Any guidance would be great.

Thanks for asking! There could be a million different reasons, unfortunately. If you hover over the greyed-out button, there should be a tip that explains why you can't boost the post. From there, you can Google the reason and get directed to the correct FB help page to fix it. Best of luck!

Under Payment option I get an error that I cant see "it" or cant share "it"! I have all my cards registered, so why is this error under my payment option? The boost bottom never turns blue, because of this error.

I came here looking for a solution for specific problem that I've been having for couple of months now. Whenever I create a post and then i boost it facebook no longer keeps the photo order of my original post, instead it randomizes the photos order. Do you have any idea how I might prevent this from happening?
Hi Mike! Sorry - I don't know the answer to that question. I will tell you that unless multiple photos are absolutely necessary, stick with a single image. In the industry as a whole, single images outperform multiple images because people's brains respond better when there's less to process (i.e. to see). Sorry I can't be of more assistance!

Thank you so much for reaching out about this. You have to set up the credit card first, and typically what happens is that the boost will be charged in increments as it continues.

It turns out that boosting isn't available everywhere, unfortunately. It depends on the country you live in. You can Google it and see if you qualify. Beyond geography, there may be another issue but I can't think what it would be! Sorry!

That‘s a good question, and I don’t think there’s a workaround. FB often has different interfaces for different users.

Thanks for reaching out about this, Melissa! To be sure, did you check where it's supposed to be listed on your profile (if you have it)? Check out my video about setting up/optimizing Facebook Professional Mode. The video is from November. If you still can't find it, my understanding is that there are 1 of 3 things possibly stopping you: (1) Your account is "locked" - check in settings, (2) FB thinks you have some fake info in your profile, as they restrict/ban fake profiles, or (3) you need to update your FB app. I don't know if these will help, but again, these are what I understand as possible reasons. Hopefully this helps!

Nearly all your traffic will come from the boost. It doesn't mean the page or post will be dead once the boost is done, but there will be significantly less activity. Unfortunately, that's how FB is.

That's a really good question! I don't think you can give another marketing agency access to your profile, short of giving them your login credentials, only because Professional Mode is still essentially a personal profile. I don't see a way you can do that through Business Manager. Hopefully there is a workaround - I'm just not seeing it.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Your question ended up in a "held for review" folder in UA-cam Studio. From what I understand, boosting isn't available in all countries, in case that's what's causing it.

You can't create ads or promote your Page because it's restricted from advertising) so it there anyway to resolve it. and account is related to politics.
Thanks for asking. It's most likely because of politics that you're restricted from advertising, unfortunately. The only way around it is to boost posts from a business page you create, and then choose "Special Ad Category" (one of the categories is politics). I hope that helps, and best of luck!
