Hi Penny! We will have a great river picking vid next week.. ( finally!) We got out between the storms. If we had our way, we'd be in our favorite river more often. But sometimes the water is high for months! (The Assabet is not tidal).
We just got more rain today. Let's hope for a good long stretch of dry weather!

Hi Susan, And thank you! Yes, I sometimes forget which bottles to go back for.. I usually go around once, before I make any major purchases. But then you risk someone else grabbing that item, before you go back for it! That's just the way it is.. I'm quite pleased with those bottles! 😁💖

Thanks Cynthia! I love my new bottles (but I spent more than I sold, as usual😬). Years of collecting, those fancy colognes.. many were gifts from Drew.💕 But we went in our fav river yesterday.. (finally low enough.. waist deep Lol) Can't beat free bottles! 😁😎💖

Lots of "old" bottles and things to be found.. at flea markets, in rivers, etc. But then we watch people in England finding ancient Roman items in the River Thames! Yayyy Bottle Show time! The black glass throughout the video were magnificent. So happy for you that you bought the perfume and cologne bottles, both compliment your exquisite collection. The iridescent bottle is a beauty. I love the mayonnaise maker. The slag was interesting and I loved the ones you picked out wit the different striations. Cathy your cards are awesome! My favorites are the doll ones, especially of the doll on the bridge---it just brought a smile from ear to ear. And of course Chucky!!! Have a fun week!
Hi Rita! Glad you enjoyed the bottle show! I am quite pleased with my cologne bottles... And to have bought them from someone we've known for many years. (And I did not pay the sticker prices.. I got a great deal on both). I actually have the glass part of that mayonnaise maker, with the recipe embossed on it.. I dug it years ago. As for my photo greeting cards.. I used to sell them at a local store, and also take orders for cards. I occasionally bring a rack to the flea market or bottle show. But I think we need an online store! We really need to sell some stuff! 😬 We've been discussing it for a while. But I do love photography. I have won awards for my nature shots. I gave up camera club to do UA-cam! Cathy, I hope you both do an online store because I would love to purchase your finds and those photography cards! I always see items on both your tables and say to myself all the time, boy it would be great if I could get their items online. But I totally get it, it takes time and then there is the shipping etc...

One of these days I'm going to make it to your neck of the woods. Just to go around and by jars of marbles. The little jar you showed is what they sell around here in quart jars. $50 just for one full of cat eyes. Maybe 4-5 swirls in it. I'd be happy as heck your way. Oh yes, better style of bottles also. Hi There! Wow, that's waaaay too much for cat's eye marbles!! 😯 But I do actually pass up most marbles I see, due to condition, or too many modern. I didn't even ask the price of that jar, cuz I wasn't interested. We do have older bottles here. I need to stop buying for a while though!! Too much stuff! -Cathy😬💖
If I could've gotten that jar you got a couple videos ago for $20 or $25 I'd been skipping all the way home singing.

Haha, Hi Amanda 😄 "Pre-digested beef" I really don't know what or how🤔, but it sounds horrible. (And it comes in two sizes! 😃) There were bottles everywhere from $1 to over $1,000. And with me, you never know if I will go for the $1 or the 1,000 ( but more often it's the lower end).
Anyway, we FINALLY got in our local river the other day, and had a great river pick! I will be working on that video next! The water was still almost waist deep, but we had the boat.. First time this year! 😃😎💖

Great Cathy. When I saw that periwinkle blue bottle, I thought it was a cathedral pepper sauce, which I love. Thanks to you I now know other wise. Both of those bottles were awesome. What was the issue with the other bottle you got? You said it had an issue. I must say your walk though showing all the bottles was well done. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed the bottle show browse! Now that you mention it, the cologne does resemble (in shape) a cathedral peppersauce. Most of the colognes on that shelf are attributed to Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. The other bottle, with the lion on it, has an almost invisible, very tiny ( bruise?) in one shoulder.. only visible when held at a certain angle, in strong enough lighting. If I were to post a photo, you probably wouldn't see it! Well worth what I paid (and I did NOT pay the sticker prices.. I got a huge discount, buying both bottles) More good news: We finally got back in the Assabet this week! (1st time this year.. cuz the water had been too high all spring!) It was a successful bottle hunt, so you will have that video to look forward to (once everything is cleaned and photographed😛). -Cathy (& Drew)
Hello Cathy and Drew. Awesome video and Event bottle & flea market to go and see. Lew and I hope to go that way sometime. The van I have has minor issues, not sure if it would survive the trip. Maybe? After a good tune up. I saw some bottles and stuff we do have or have seen at bottle shows and antique shops. We like the blob top bottles and small clay jug Drew had shown at the end of the video. Awesome trades and purchase. 🙂 Lew and I hope to dig somewhere soon. Hi Jeff & Lew, Glad you enjoyed the bottle show video. It is a long drive, but the bottles are outstanding! And we enjoy seeing our bottle friends. Next week's vid will be in the river. We had a great day (despite moderately high water.. and our wading suits leaking!) I will not spoil the surprises here though. You will have to wait. Your vids have become like precious marbles to me now, i watched this one 4 times. ( you go nice and steady and slow, excellent camera work ) Cathy & Drew, they speak to me. What a great bottle show ! So many cool tables. You & Drew had the best table, I also loved Carl Pratts , so interesting. I loved the green I Dream Of Genie looking bottle, the deep green of the stopper was stunning. I saw not a single beer can, tho i spied 2 Narragansett's - that's the brand in Jaws where Quint chugs it then squish's it , Richard Dryfus then does the same to a stryofoam cup. I noticed on your info for Dr Ingram's Nervine Pain Extractor that its good for "Pain in the side" ( my brother ?? ) and something called 'Quincy"...very strange. Drew, I am trader too. The old BCCA - Beer Can Collector's of America had a motto "Don't Buy that can Trade for it" Ya got some nice trades there My Friend. No marbles this time Cathy. Oh and your greeting cards are the bomb....the weird little doll on the wooden bridge to....who knows where, is oddly compelling. Makes sense after all you do like bones , skeletons & such lol
Had to put Mother into a nursing home this week, hardest thing my shoulders have ever born....Its weird her not being in my parents home of 45 years. Now i gotta go thru all her stuff ( crap lol ) then call one of those estate sale companies. This is why your videos are a poultice for my wounded soul. I see a new one just dropped.....i"m going to savior it, & wait for the perfect pause to watch it. Gotta go and sort thru 60 years.....SIXTY years of photo albums...ugh !!!

Hi There, Wow, like "precious marbles!" Lol Did you know you can watch any of our 200+ videos anytime, if you go to our channel? Surely you haven't seen them all.. (and no, I'm not calling you "Shirley" 😄 but that was another movie) Sorry these bottle people aren't into beer cans.. I've kept an 👁️ out. Many of these dealers are diggers, and so the cans don't usually survive. My note cards.. I have quite a few. I used to have a rack at a local shop a few years ago, but haven't done much lately. Although last year before Halloween, I sold some creepy doll cards at the flea market. They went fast! I should have printed more! Weird stuff sells. 😱 Drew and I both used to belong to a camera club, and used to compete (nature photography) and we did quite well, locally, nationally, and we also competed internationally. But I put it aside to do UA-cam (for a while, so I thought) I could not give my best in two directions at once. Anyway... So sorry to hear about your Mom, but it was sounding like that was where things were headed. I know it was a tough choice, (with little other choices ). Just keep tabs on things.. (let the home know you are still looking out for your Mom's best care). Drew and I have been emptying out my Dad's place... What a job! But there was so much personal stuff, I wanted to go through everything myself. We can't afford to keep two places, and so need to sell it. I can't believe my Dad kept my toy box all these years! Lots of photos too, but not the ones I'm looking for... more childhood pic's. Both my parents passed, four months apart, two years ago. I am an only child, and have no children (besides the turkeys and chucks Lol ) so it felt like I lost my whole family when they both went. (Neither was due to covid.. they were 87 and 88). Anyway, it's a difficult job. I know. We spend years accumulating stuff, but the sentimental things are the toughest to part with. (Still trying to justify keeping my toy box!) Hang in there.. and don't beat yourself up about anything. You're doing the best you can. (And comment anytime 🙂). -Cathy 🙏
