I don't agree. If the conditions are hard, or like in this case really hard, the riders Need to slow down and take the downhill sections Slow for example. The thing is as we all know that they will calculate the 60min after two driven rounds, so if they ride slower they need to go 6 instead of 7 rounds for example. But apart from this if i am in the woods and descending, i know My limits and if you Look, all serious crashes happened in the last lap i think. Some things you Can Not control. After 1 hour racing you are cold at this Rain and 5°C. Even the pros Can Not handle the Bike 100 or even 85 per cent at the end of this race.

I don't think this was Save and Good for the riders, you could See how mvdp did still shake 10min After the race. But I Also do Not think that is Good for the Sport to cancel races Or Because of Rain, Cold, Snow ect.
don't cancel races. change it from 9 tot 8 laps because you know the conditions, if the conditions are better they would have finished around the same time with one less lap. but last years parkour would have been good enough. Why try to make it harder. it wont change the results. And like i said, the number 1 and 2 of the standing ended 13 and 14 today. One has 4 broken ribs but is still defending his standing. you don't want to lose those guy for the rest of the season because of spectacle. just keep it cyclocross. not motocross
I hate to agree but in all honesty this is not mountain biking....let natural course conditions exist...I'd rather not see those crashes into fencing etc
🤔 No Doping he has been multiple world champ on the road and cx in the youth categories and had wins by large margins. Also his father and grandfather poulidor were extremely successfull as pro cyclist. And his brother is also a pro cx racer but not as talented. He is a freak of nature has the right genes...

Is this race exclusive to cx only or they can use xc bike? Because i bet, xc bikes are the most all rounder bikes
They'd be heavier and more awkward to carry and run with. They're limited to 33mm tyres too
