Political forces with islamic ideology were rooted out through our war of liberation in1971. During the rules of Ziaur Rahman and Hossain Mohammad Ershad ,these defeated forces were bounced back. Ziaur Rahman, Ershad and Khaleda Zia made some of the anti liberation elements ministers of bangladesh government. When Sk. Hasina and her party Awami League came to power , by now anti liberation forces gained much strength, had no other option but to nweaken these anti liberation forces. All along Zamat E Islami was very well organized. With state help they became the owners of Bank , Insurance Companies, Hospitals and many other business enterprises. When Hasina government started trial some of Zamat E Islami top ranking leaders for their direct involved against our war of liberation in 1971,the Government wanted to separate the mullahs from Zamat E Islami and in this process , the government showed some softness towards mullahs who formed Hefazat E Islam. This organization is comprised of all Kawmi Madrasas in bangladesh. Ahmed Shafi became the first Amir of the organization. As there are few thousand of Kawmi Madrasas in bangladesh but they do not belong to same political believes but among the leaders, there were pro Zamat and Anti Zamat elements. This Hefazat does not have any political aim like Zamat E Islami but they are pro Pakistani and anti bangladesh but anti Modudi who founded Zamat E Islami. Zamat E Islami belongs to whabiism in religion thought. They have same ideology like Muslim Brotherhood active in Middle East and North African countries. Present Turkey Government belong to same ideology. On the contrary, the elements in Hefazat E Islami do not have same islamic thought. Some of them believe in whabiism and some of them believe in Sufiism. Politically Zamat E Islami is well connected with internationally but on the other hand, Hefazat E Islami doesn't have this type international connection and as such ,the present government used them against Zamat E Islami, though both groups have some common thinking such as Anti India and anti Awami League. They do not belong to independent bangladesh concept. However, present government is well aware about the activities of Hefazat E Islami. But from recent activity of Hefazat E Islami it appears to us the bangladesh government should not believe them rather these islamic fanatic groups should be checked under any means as they want to drag our country back in medeavhal age. Thank you very much for such good presentation.

Also, as far as the FIGHT is concerned, what support bases, internal as well as external, do you think the Bangladeshi Hindus have access to in order to continue their fight against religious oppression? There are numerous Muslim, Christian and Buddhist majority nations who can easily support the causes of any and all persecuted Muslims, Judaeo-Christians and the Buddhists around the world. BTW, a reminder: even the Jews whom we admire very much built up their strongly defended Jewish state of Israel ONLY after fleeing and/or migrating from Europe, Middle East And Africa where they were being persecuted, AND NOT by staying in those nations and FIGHTING whatever RIGHTFUL Mahabharat or titanic wars of justice they ought to have fought in those lands of persecution, according to your LOFTY Gitopdesh. Many Jews yet continue to migrate to Israel, this making their Aaliyah, as they call it, i.e. their final return to their Promised Land. So, are you telling me that the Jewish approach of fleeing en masse from various corners of the globe and then dianlly congregating ultimately in Israel was wrong? How so, if that is the case, as per you? There are only 2 Hindu majority nations, viz. India and Nepal with Mauritius being only a Hindu plurality nation, and out of the two, only India has any capacity to help the Hindus of Bangladesh. Nepal has fallen to the Commies and itself depends upon India heavily under any set of circumstances. So, what should the Indian Government do; fund a Hindu resistance group comprising of Bangladeshi Hindus who are willing to fight? If my memory serves me right, there used to be a Hindu insurgent (later dubbed terror) group called Banga Sena allegedly operating out of India's West Bengal under the tutelage of RAW that was trying to galvanise the Bdeshi Hindus into an armed resistance force needed to liberate mainly the South Eastern Bangladeshi region of Khulna, parts of which still have Hindu majority. The Banga Sena wanted to create a Hindu Bengali state called Bir Bongo or something of that name in that region. That did not work out, as it had to be declared a terror outfit by both India and Bangladesh as part of a joint geopolitical collaboration against organized cross border terror between both countries. So, do you have any other bright ideas?? Like I said, try telling that to all those who fled as refugees during 1947 or 1990s. your analysis is somewhat biased regarding the issues of Bangladesh. Not in this issue but issues u have covered earlier. First of all, There was protest not riots by the Hefazat-e-Islam. The Islamists didn't attack any hindu house, village or temples. The government's Youth wing "Juboleague" attacked the hindu's house, village, vandalized temples. & your analysis regarding BNP, Zia, Khaleda Zia and Jamaat is totally incorrect. Bangladesh has turned into Facist, Totalitarian state under the regime of Sheikh Hasina Wazed. In 2014 & 2018 they carried on with two fradulent election where people could not vote . In 2018 election, there was mid-night election. On the election night, pro-government goons voted with the help of administration & military. The connection that u showed between Hefazat & Jamaat is totally wrong. Hefazat is a organization which follows Deobandi School of Thought. It is well-known that, there is a Historical Conflict between the Deobandi School & the thought of Mawdudi. The Hefazat was given space by the Awami League Government to decrease the influence of Jamaat. But, As it is a Traditional School of thought, they are protesting the anti-islamic activities taken by the governments and other forces. The government has allowed the Hefazat in many cases to appease them against many other forces. But, now, when they turned against the government, the government are using them to protect her thrones as a war againt terror doctrine. Bangladesh has become a Socialist North Korea where any organic or mechanical note of dissents are suppressed. No opposition force can practice their Democratic & Constitutional Rights in Bangladesh. & As many social scientists said, where there is no democracy, extremism will rise. This is the case of Bangladesh. & This things has been carried out under the supervision of Indian Government. But As you are biased towards the Indian State & BJP, U have produced a garbage & propaganda material against the anti-Indian forces in Bangladesh & about the other south Indian nations or groups which are against India's Doctrine of Dominance. BNP & Jamaat alliance is the major opposition party.

Though it didn't surprise me with whatever you said because this is something the Indian people and government want to hear and also it goes to the interest of India. Please Don't tell me I sound radical. Actually, anti-Indian sentiment is on the higher level in Bangladesh more or less 80/90 of the people hate India not because of their people but because of their leader. There are several reasons for that. Whatever happened last week didn't happen when first time Modi came in Bangladesh in 2015, why? People of Bangladesh hate Modi as a Hindu nationalist who wants to 'akhandh varot' ! not only that but also people hate Indian Prime-Minister because in last of his several years rule BJP and government of India took plenty of steps which directly and indirectly suffering Bangladesh and people of Bangladesh. Because of Bollywood craze, most of the young generation understand Hindi and most of the Indian channel is widely open there so all are well aware, what happening in India day to day. I can give you a list of reasons some are, Kashmir 370, Muslim Mob lynching, Beef ban, river water share problem specially Tista, equal business interest, 3 talak law, Love jihad issue, Riot in Dillli and kill 54 Muslims, continuos border Killing by BSF, CAA, and NRC, and most important destabilized Bangladeshi democracy. last two elections people couldn't vote in Bangladesh because it was India who supports Awamilig to stay in power and become a shadow for them for the illegal interest of India. Not only that in the election of 2008 when Awamilig came into power after BNP that election was also set up which has disclosed by Indian X-president Pronob Mukharjee in his book. So all these are now crystal clear to the people of Bangladesh who are mostly Muslims. No one can talk against Hasina not even joke, if someone got arrested in your country can get bail like Monouwar Faruque but in bangladesh that not possible. last month one write died in jail after he got arrested in digital security act, what he did, he just wrote one caption on a cartoon. He was beaten severely on a daily basis and didn't accept bail 6 times before his death. our media and judiciary are completely destroyed. I don't know you have any example or not that a Country chief Judge kicked out because of disagreement with Priminister or the But it happened in Bangladesh. That judge was Hindu but no international media or national media said it was minorities' oppression. Because they try to portray they are the saver of minorities which is not true. In her last 12 years, Hindu and minorities are mostly tourchard killed looted and kicked out which are mostly very poor. Minorities leaders are sold out so they didn't speak on behalf of those poor. There are several incidents against Hindu and Buddha in her last 10 years period which all are kept in silence and blamed to the opposition as like your country Nehru ki galti. and one more thing they do to showcase those stories over and over again that Bangladesh has Muslim fundamentalists we are only secular who can keep this country safe and secure. In your episode, you talked about the place that was burned and destroyed but you didn't talk about those people who were killed. It was called by a Muslim organization but all kinds of people from different backgrounds joined in this protest. even some left student organization was protesting last several days before Modi come to Bangladesh. I can write on and on and on to you about Bangladesh and the current situation of Bangladesh. The perception of Bangladeshi people is the way India is handling Bangladesh is like a Big Brother but Bangladeshi people want equal friendship with respect and dignity. India is one and only country of Bangladesh which has border from all three sides, and no one can change their neighbor but the way India is looking Bangladesh by the glass of a particular party named Awamilig and ignoring the interest of Bangladeshi people which is not good for both country for the long run. To know and understand Bangladesh's situation and the real face of Hasina I want to recommend you and all who will read this comment to watch this documentary publish by Aljajira last month. ua-cam.com/video/a6v_levbUN4/v-deo.html. Hi, do keep watching #CutTheClutter.
When Hasina government started trial some of Zamat E Islami top ranking leaders for their direct involved against our war of liberation in 1971,the Government wanted to separate the mullahs from Zamat E Islami and in this process , the government showed some softness towards
mullahs who formed Hefazat E Islam.

If history has taught us anything, that's the only way the jihadis can be countered. Not to pick arms when the time needs it is cowardice. Wisdom shouldn't be an excuse to run away from a fight.
@@SP-oc7dm How can you fight a fight simultaneously, once you anyway move to a safer place away from the said fight? Kindly enlighten me in this regard.
It's easy to be brave and spout lines of bravery when you are not facing the heat, bub.
Why didn't you call the Delhi riots "typical sub-continental riot"? What's wrong with you people?

With 91% Muslim population in Bangladesh, Islamic republic is an eventuality that needs to be considered. There’s nothing right or wrong about it as it would be the decision of the citizens of that country. SH will not remain the PM forever, she’s growing old and the next person coming might not wield as much power as her. It’ll also be easy for China/Pakistan to exploit that situation. Hence, build good relationships with neighbours, as we should, however don’t bank on it. As they say, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Sheikh Hasina is the modern day atarurk of Bangladesh , but no matter what you do , it’s just the time , 25 yrs , 50 yrs , Islamophobia will some day wipe up everything

It's so unfortunate that such a great and informative video has such a toxic comment section. You guys need to cool off your minds first, and let go of the "Us vs Them Mentality". And I'm saying this to both Hindus and Muslims in the comments section, because both seem to be oblivious to the concerns of the other. You guys just stereotype each other, and don't have a constructive argument, hence the nation is never able to focus on issues of national importance, as even these issues are now getting polarized on these lines, as was visible during the standoff with China and the farm reform protests. So stop this nonsense asap.
Anyways, thanks SG and your team for CTC!😎👍🏻
Dear ThePrint, a famous freedom fighter "Dr. Zafarullah Chowdhury" actually raised concern over the transparency of the international tribunal that was set up in Dhaka. My freedom fighter uncle also told me that this tribunal was crooked. At first, I didn't believe my own uncle who was a subsector commander as I really thought that true criminals were getting punished. However, after I learnt about Dr. Zafarullah's criticism about the tribunal, my thoughts have shifted. Dr. Zafarullah is like the Switzerland among Bangladeshi public figures.
Our political situation was under control until the new Dufferstan high commissioner was allowed to join his post in Dhaka. ISI directly funds these extremist groups.
@Eye Opener Good to know you are the authority for certifying jokers; it says quite a bit about you. As for the rest of your comment, it's not worth my time to get into a discussion with you so, hit the exit.
Sekhar Ji started scaring Indians even with Bangladesh.
Not a word in support of the hapless Hindu victims of these violent riots, very "liberal" indeed!
From Bangladesh with love. I found this video quite surprising. You should not supposed to talk on this subject rather you should discussed about India’s extremism. Being a renowned journalist you shoul know every action has an reaction. In the next 10 years Bangladesh will be a Taliban country- if BJP is in power in India for the coming 10-15 years. A nation of 160 crore people elected a party just to build a Temple ! Citizen of that nation has no right to talk about extremists group of other country either good or bad or to oppose someone. Shame !
People elected Modi because Rahul Gandhi is an elitist with no political experience, he only wants to get elected because he is Gandhi. There are no other options. If Manmohan Singh was fighting election, many people would vote for him but Rahul Gandhi is hated by many people
I don't believe it is wrong to say that Bangladesh would have been another Pakistan if it weren't for Sheikh Hasina.

Sir, for your kind info. Not only islamic group but also Dhaka university students, some political parties as well protest to Modi visit
There is some difference between protesting and rioting.
your analysis is somewhat biased regarding the issues of Bangladesh.
LOL
While reading comment section - few "people" politely refuse to appreciate this episode of CTC - rather they suggest CTC on other topics. Definitely this approves that CAA is required
A statistics said 86% Bangladeshi people denied modis arrival. May be you are a biased journalists cz u shows some data that are disputed.
1)Exect Awami League, all of the major partis were protest againts modi's arrival including left front and Hefazat activists
2)The reason of the protests are not only modi is a Communal person in his country, he and his party passed CAA and NRC bill in their parliament. If india push that people u would face a lot of trouble. All treaty that are sign beteen Bangladesh and india, all are lopsided and india are taking their all interest to occupied Awami League. When Indian high Commissioer break his protocal to go to the awami leage office and then said we have no other friend in Bangladesh except awami league....we surprised what he said.
Another reason in this protest is to killing the civilian people in border site....india push drug and their clothes though border and pretending that their killed is legal,bt the govt never protests against it
3)2019 election was a disaster for Bangladesh's democracy.... Here he said bnp took 2 seat but didnt mention the enormous number of vote rigging in the support of indian govt
Hefazat soon become a partly like ISI or Taliban
According to The Economist, Bangladesh may Squander its development pathway because of Sheikh Hasina's authoritarian measures and coming down hard on critics. SO no democracy in bangladesh for atleast 8 years now. Thank you!
Big Fan Sir, I am a Bangladeshi living in London as a refugee-like hundred of journalists who had to the left the country because of different opinion and views. Your show is one of my favorite daily shows which I didn't miss in last several months. I really like the way you clutter the news with great research and information. As a Bangladeshi and a journalist, I found this episode, biased, partly right and partly wrong, and lack of proper research.
