This series is about exploring the unexplored parts of Jammu and Kashmir and nearby places. Gali: "Gali is basically a narrow pathway or a pedestrian walkthrough". The road to Galliat is normally a narrow pathway between mountains, so each of these mountain pathways (i.e where two mountains meet and a pathway/road exists between them) is called a Gali. That particular place in turn is named by combining the local name of that place and adding Gali to the end. That's why we see Gali as the suffix for most of the names of places in Galiat region.
