This cord has a great alternative for people with shorter fingers (like me). You can use your pointer finger on the 2nd fret to cover C, E & A (the three bottom strings)and then put it slightly on the top string (G) just enough to mute it. It’s super easy and quick to switch too! I hope I explained this well 🐙
For those of you who are having issues. I find it helpful if I use the side of my finger, or kinda come at an angle and then adjust as needed from there. Keep practicing, you'll get it!
its so frustrating how when i do this one note doesnt sounds clean and when i press hard on it the other string wont have enough pressure to sound clean too
Guys, practise barre chords on guitar and you should get this easily. I've been playing guitar for 5 years and this is my first Ukulele attempt and it sounds perfect. If you're not getting a sound then it means that you're muting the strings, push with your thumb while the index finger barres the fret. Trust me as cliché as it sounds like but indeed practise makes perfect!!! Good luck 👍🏽
Ive got stumpy fingers and really could not do this but when I bar the bottom three strings with my index finger I can use my thumb on the top string without a problem. Best of luck folks
I thought G chord was hard. Damn. My index finger keeps angling and like lifting off string 1. I'm pushing really hard with my thumb but I'm gonna have to keep at it hard with this one....
Yea, i’ve tried every method possible for years. The “webbing” in the middle of all of my fingers have been cracked/split for alot of my life so far, because that’s how hard i’d try Sorry guys, if you are in the same boat as me, your hands might just be too small. Stick to those c chord songs 😭
So, i'm figured out how it works with my tiny Hands, i lay my index finger fully on the Side and use my little finger instead the ring finger, but it may hurt after a while
barring the four strings doesn't matter since you're smashing the fourth string further up the neck (towards the hole) so anything that happens before that smash is irrelevant. For example put your index finger on the first fret, and the ring on the third fret of the A string. You'll still get the C chord. Because you putting the index finger back there doesn't matter. It's the same concept here.
well... thank you very much. I've been practicing for awhile only with 3 strings and is just impossible for my hands, even hurts a little... with this now I can keep going hahahaha. cheers
This is impossible for me my ukulele career has just ended
tantrumj DONT GIVE UP YOU GOT THIS LOVE
if you have long fingers it's easy
Me too. Just can't get it not to sound muted
this just made my day 😭

Wow I thought I hated the G chord but nope...Whole new subfloor of hate for this Bm nonsense
Agreed
The g was one of the quickest for me to learn (rather then the am f a and c chords)
what're you even talking bout, g is bae.
Coffee Spiral
G is hard when your a beginner, but it's so easy once you start learning actual hard ones
Sad Girl agree i still can’t play the e major when i sing
My ukulele isn't making any noise when I do that helppppp
Julia Flynn SAME

em was easy asf to learn, wdym, bm however, HOW THE HELL DO I DO THIS SHIT
its so frustrating how when i do this one note doesnt sounds clean and when i press hard on it the other string wont have enough pressure to sound clean too
My 3rd finger keeps bumping int the 3rd string so that string doesn't make a sound😭😭
its hard when you have small hands and a tenor ukulele
Get a soprano then
That's what happened to me
Or long fingers and a concert ukulele

Just wait ‘til you get to the E-chord... now that one’s a nightmare...
Honestly the only way I can play it is to use my thumb😂😂😂
Jishs right drumstick there's nothing wrong with that! You do you❤️
i love u
Wow this actually works and honestly feels just as awkward
0:07 why are you doing a bar on all 4 strings if it’s only the first 3?
It doesn't really matter if you press the 4th string down or if you don't. It sounds the same :)
HOWW
i can do it but it takes so much effort
excellent technic. It's really a trick.
Its the ukelele teacher
That shet dont work with short fingers and tiny baby hands sir my hand presses on the fret board and ruins the sound
I'm crying, man 🥹
loool I was trying to only bar the 3 strings even tho i was fretting the fourth lower again anyway! ;D
So, i'm figured out how it works with my tiny Hands, i lay my index finger fully on the Side and use my little finger instead the ring finger, but it may hurt after a while
D: i just wanna play This Is Gospel
same!!! omg this is exactly what I came for!
Same

DAMNNNN I HAVE TINY HANDSSSSSSSS
My doesn’t sound like that help
it's physically impossible for me i have short fingers I need a custom uke😭
If your hands are tiny or your uke is a tenor just use your pinky
as a guitar player i got it first try lol seeing the comments suffering is funny
I just ended up using my thumb, my fingers are too short
Mine doesn't sound like anything at all !
My whole career has ended my because of the BM my fingers are to small
Yall my hands are just too small 😭
Holy crap! I thought D major is hard enough, now I'm wrong :(
yeah nm i cant do this i give up
having small hands be like : impossible yo do it
Search an easy chord for a song and it had a Bm chord wtf
Your fingers are long =/= mine are short :((
my arms is big 😭
There is different graphic on the video and then different laying of fingers on the strings. It is confusing :(
Oh thanks, I am not the only one, who assumed that

I’m left handed
I have long fingers and this is still hard for me. Give up.
