1 mercy is definitely a 4/5 star prospect didnt force the game had some great playmaking passes and was on the boards
2 alijah has to learn not to force the offense he has a great skillset but was dribbling into double teams and chucking hella shots
3 alijah team has zero defense and alijah himself should develop more 2 way skills
4 get him around a better team to help him develop defense and passing he can score but if he the only threat all his games will look like this
I thought this was gonna be a battle and it really was just one sided

Mercy plays on a talented team, Alijah plays on a bad team where he has to do everything. Gilbert Arenas spoke on it in an interview. He said he doesn’t want his son on a stacked team. He wants him playing through double teams and things to get better

Unfortunately this is why USA will continue to decline in the game of basketball. Guards are worried about "getting buckets" while at the same time bigs aren't developing and nobody knows how to play move without the ball. Good luck finding any defense. It's not the kids fault but the game is becoming trash top to bottom. 😒

You don't get sympathy of a public school kid when you can go to any school in the country. Elijah goes to this school to stand out, so go get it in shape and stand out. But to your other point, he's responsible to hold every player on that team accountable whether it's getting their ass in the gym more working on conditioning and transition defense that's what hurts them most.

I seen his teammates do some moves that didn't involve him. If he promoted their confidence more as a leader they'd play better. The PG did a drop step into a float over a taller guy... Shows he got moves. Just need confidence. The best player who already have the green light can give his teammates that confidence.
