What a great channel. I discovered it a week ago and now I’m addicted to it. Such a professional, pleasant and honest way of describing your climbs. When I joined your channel I think you had around 30k followers, now I see you have over 45k. I can’t wait to see you hitting 50k and beyond.

Smart choices on the mountain. There's no defeat when you get back home safe at the end of the day. Hello from Greece my friend.

It all started back at home, because I wasn't sure if I should even go on this tour, because of back pain... but I pushed through and quickly came another problem... a rainstorm. That extinguished the fraction of enthusiasm I had left. I waited in the car for an hour, and after it cleared up, I finally started approaching. My plan was to at least check out how much snow there's still left, and then I was going to decide if I should continue climbing.
Well long story short...one thing led to another and eventually everything went to hell.

I truly admire your resilience! And even though you arrived at your day's destination, I think you made the wisest choice to go down. Not many people would have put their ego asside to make the right decision. Many people would have carried on and they would have encountered a big problem the next day.
Don't let this experience discourage you! Your work is amazing! Thanks for sharing it 😉

This aliged more wth my own "rough & ready" scrambling , hiking ...on rocky "hills" nr. Vancouver full horrible tufted bushey "stuff" whilst on hols. AND this is normative 4 anyone (beating showers, darkness... etc ) in our own UK uplands too.. As you say always great experience when things don't go 2 plan. Forces re-org mentally , & 2 somewhow magically almost find those xtra energy reserves😅So, 4 me your best one yet not worst ==> keep 'em coming! 😃

You can say it happens now and then to those who go in the mountains all the time,no matter what day or weather is it...every week i start planning a whole weekend hike and it involves 1,2 or 3 friends..but when the weekend comes-1 cant go,second cant go,third...and often im alone, sitting home with all my stuff in front of me thinking where to go,do i want to go,to sleep here or there, what to do...and then i just snap back to reality and say to myself-why am i waisting time here on my bed if i could waste it in the mountains,on the views :) rain, wind, snow, fog whatever..
You still had a day out in the mountains and thats what i call a good day! A great one 💪🏼

my worst solo experience was on the 1st of january this year, it was -10C° and i was onsight soloing some sandstone towers in my home area the saxon swiss aka czech sandstone. i had already done 3 solos that day, and started to feel comfortable, so i stepped up the difficulty for the next one, its basically a splitter crack with a short overhanging crack and then a nice and relaxing slab crack at the end. i got up to the overhang and couldnt feel my hands and feet anymore. i was scared, and unable to downclimb. i knew the overhang was only 3 moves and then it gets alot easier, so i powerd through and managed to stay alive. not a good route for that weather :D also the ice in the back of the crack should have been a warning sign to a rockclimber without ice tools :D
