  • Todays video is a sketchbook tour with Aarón. I wanted to bring him on the channel because I saw his sketchbook at ‪@TrojanHorseWasaUnicorn‬ art event. I think it could be a good inspiration and motivation for some of you who struggle with drawing and practices in your sketchbooks.

This is no joke the most inspirational sketchbook I have personally ever seen, everything is so well studied and clean but in a way that’s not overwhelming but rather simply fun. To be able to study new things and to then apply them to your own art but also not think of it as an intimidating task❤

oh wow! i am an art student and never really know the "right" way on how to practice or study drawing. I love designing characters and drawing some concept art, so this video helps me start studying. Seeing your sketchbook gives me inspiration to not only draw figures, but characters from references as well!I should've known that constant repitiion of the same study helps improve one's drawing.

Beautifull and encouraging to watch. I started with drawingclass in september. I'm 49 yo now, never dare to give it a shot because "I couldn't draw". Untill I heard that there was no such thing, Just like we all expect an atlete to train for years and put in many many hours before reaching top level we should put in many houts and years before getting good at it. It would still leave us with a difference in talent but without the work talent wouldnt win either. You showing us the work you put in daily to still improve your work proves this point.
Im happy to say after drawing everday for a month it made a big difference in my skills already. Even though I sometimes only get to squeeze in 15 minutes it still helpt.

So clean! And you made me realize that when I look at a reference, I do not need to draw the whole thing. I can just focus on the parts I find hard. Because, I usually try to pick hard refs, but it I realize that it feels like a loot of work to do the hard part while also making sure everything else looks right as well (if that makes sense)

This video made me realise how that over my 16 years I haven't really stuck to any thing and got good at it. Recently I've been seeing lots of videos of artists, skateboarders, pro gamers, etc and now I realise how I don't really have my own thing that I've stuck to and strived to improve over the years and yeah I've experimented in various stuff I thought I'd enjoy but I haven't really found anything. Finishing secondary school and reflecting on how I haven't learnt anything that I enjoy or something that brings happiness is just disappointing. Most Pros and people that are good at something either started at a very young age or have a natural talent that they've found and put time into improving and I thought I might of found mine by now but here I am.
Didn't mean to write a paragraph in a UA-cam comment section, I apologise.

Also, quick question. How long did you spend on each individual sketch? I know there has been advice to spend a minimum of some time, but also not spend too much time.
