Welcome to the Tesla family. My MYLR is everything. I'll never go back to an ICE car if I can help it. I use the autopilot feature heavily as I commute from Jacksonville FL to Charleston SC and back on a weekly basis. It really does take the stress out of driving and the more you use it, the more you will learn from it. Also the supercharger network is awesome along I-95.

Having owned a 2017 Mode S, AND driven every Tesla model (except the cybertruck) through the past 10 years, the new Model 3 Highland is the most comfortable and well built car they've made and possibly better than everything else on the road. My GF has your car in white/white and whenever I drive it, it freaks me out; it's so quiet it's that looking out the glass while drivig is like watching a movie with the sound down. SO quiet it's almost eerie. My buddy thinks it's superior to his '22 Model S and just traded to the LR AWD Highland configured exactly like yours, QS over black. (BTW - Tesla cannot allow you to have UA-cam while driving. Not their call.). Cheers.
For the HVAC, hold the number 73 and it will shut off, OR use the voice command, say turn off heat or AC. Voice command does SO much for you !!! The FSD will be amazing by the end of next year and sadly you won't have much to complain about.....the videos you will be able to watch when FSD is so solid you don't need to pay attention, NOT before....good video, congrats on your purchase !!!!
Or if you have a 240 dryer outlet nearby, get a neocharger, TESLA mobile connector, and plug adapter to take that 30 amp extension cord to tesla connector and avoid a few thousand dollars for a 14-50 install. 23ish miles of range per hour for about $600.
I don’t think I would use Full self driving, but I would use auto pilot for sure because I did that with my Civic. It wasn’t called auto pilot, but it was cruise control that basically will keep you in the lane. Doesn’t turn or any of that stuff but at least it keeps you safe if you’re not paying attention, and you won’t ram into the back of somebody. That’s all I need because you never know when you might not be paying attention for the slightest second and the car is there to save your ass…lol😂
Happy for you. When I tried a Tesla (twice, different models), I didn’t like the experience though. The car was trying too much to “help” me drive. Drove me nuts. I’m the driver, I decide. I finally found a car that didn’t do that, and it wasn’t as easy as one might think. No no, it is quite hard these days to find an EV that didn’t copy Tesla - in ways I didn’t like about the Tesla 😂
I have a 2024 and it is Smoother , Quieter and Quicker than any Rolls Royce that I have ever driven.... I Agree the Best Car I have Ever Driven As Well...
Get the MagBak wireless charger that mounts on the top left or right corner of the screen then you can simply stream YT from there. Also, you'll save some power and it will be easier on your eyes and IMO is more pleasing to turn the screen to dark mode all the time. You have it on light mode where it's a bright white screen all the time and it will/can auto shift at night but night/dark mode during the day is great.. Try it.
May I ask why you chose the RWD or the AWD. I live in rural America and drive about 55 miles to work and home (110 miles round trip). And roads are not always the most taken care of here. But the AWD option has lower range. The close super charger is 65 miles from me. So out of the way for work. I am really interested in a model 3 but not sure if it is the right move living so rural and something else would be better
If I remember correctly, you can listen into any youtube video, audio only, via the YT Music app. The problem is YT Music doesn't prioritize videos unless they're strictly music or podcasts.
Lovely car. I just wish it had stalks for indicators, lights, wipers, and direction. There is no need to "innovate" what is serves its function perfectly well. It also needs ultrasonic parking sensors. Would have been a perfect every day car with those.
Hey how has it been not having charging at home. I work for a small company and we have a charger there by boss said I can use anytime I want. Also I have a super charger 5 minutes from my home. The big bonus my job, gym and shopping is 1 mile from my house. So I’m not too worried about at home charging and if I really needed to I could ask my roommate I just don’t want to run up the bill.
@@TeslaTypeR Tesla looked at it and compared it to all the other highland models in the showroom. I walked around with the technician. And they all stuttered like my charge port. He said it must be a design issue and didn't bother fixing mine. I have emailed them for a fix update but no response. Its been a month..
You have to learn to use FSD. It takes time. It is invaluable in road trips. You can play UA-cam videos on your phone with Bluetooth. The liability for allowing videos while driving is astronomical.
I’ve had my 2025 M3LR for about 2 weeks now and I love everything except the wireless charging pad which seems to be an Apple issue because of MagSafe and that horrendous camera bump and I can’t play voice notes from WhatsApp and iMessage through the car automatically. I’m always having to switch between sources to make it happen even with the phone saying that it’s connected to my Tesla which is weird. Other than that, everything is amazing! Also not fully on board with FSD either but I know it will improve over the next few months and years.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro with the Apple brand Silicon case and it charges fine in my girlfriend's Highland. Maybe your case? Does it work when you take the case off? Might be something to try to see if its the car or thickness of case.
Been driving my M3LR 2024 for 6 months now and here are my findings: - Autopilot frequent phantom braking, very annoying and even dangerous. - Quality interior is ****: squeaks and rattles in doorpanel, driver seat and even the steering wheel itself. - Auto wipers: a joke. They'll run full speed on a bone dry windshield and do nothing with heavy rain. - Direction indicators on the wheel is a bad BAD idea. I had higher expectations...
@@LERobbo I have the same gripes as you except for the rattling part. I was hearing a rattle the other day but it turned out to be my garage door opener and not the car. Once I unclipped it, rattling stopped.
It's not Full Self Driving yet my guy. It's FSD supervised. You are the supervisor for now. Watching UA-cam videos while driving Will be normal once you don't have to supervise FSD(maybe in 2 years)...Tip once you are used to FSD: sunglasses UA-cam playing on your phone placed on the wireless charging port in landscape (will not charge) enjoy your trip. i do this too! or change the speaker to iphone and just play off my phone speaker on high. I place it the same way, horizontal on the charging pad. I like to watch/listening tv shows while driving sometimes.
Connect your phone via Bluetooth..play UA-cam on your phone. If you have premium yourtube...then you can put your phone to sleep..and UA-cam will still play in the background
Got mine in September (AWD). I've only seen one other. Beautiful color when it's clean and the sun hits it. Almost looks like government gray when it's dark. Wish I would've waited and got a 2025 though

Have you checked to make sure the glove box opens I had to take mine in to get replaced. The cruise control once your FSD expires is pretty good too I kind of prefer that to the FSD the auto steer option is almost as good as the FSD. One thing I dont like about FSD is it trys to hug the center line when I drive I like hugging the outer line. So in the FSD and cruise control it makes me nervous when people pass me. I like the cruise and FSD when there isnt traffic and on the highway more than heavy traffic.
Thats great. My 2,5 month old Tesla model 3 broke after a software update. Needs a complete new computer which takes 2 months because I need to wait for the part which is not there. Worst car I ever got and wished I got something else instead.
Once have a Tesla, there is never going back. For me, once having Tesla is always only Tesla. Never. It is like driving the current car and 100 years ago car. It had ton of sensors and camera. Thats a UA-cam premium feature thats why. Once you have it you can run in the background or minimize

Not gonna be convenient, but you can broadcast the rear display tablet to the whole car. I think you can listen to your UA-cam videos from there.
What if you have downloaded video/music on UA-cam? That’s why I mainly use for music
And they are updating it even more. The rear light bar being added to the Y refresh is coming to the 3. It’ll look even better soon!!!

Dryer sockets are 30 amp sockets not 50 in newer homes. For example mine was built in 2002 and it’s 14-30

I have a 15 Pro Max in a clear Spigen MagSafe case and it charges fine in my ‘24 Model 3 LR AWD. The phone does get pretty hot, but it charges.

How do the interior side panels feel? Do they feel like they will hold up well? I believe they're different from the Model 3 AWD.
@@Nicrent they feel fine if u like fabric. Only time will tell but I think they should hold up and long as you take care of it
You can run the UA-cam through your phone and listen to it via Bluetooth.
use the main screen to turn on the rear screen and then you can play UA-cam or any other video :-p

Ultra red is the best color easily. Quicksilver is going to be common like white or black.

It’s a 2025 model. Next-year models for pretty much all manufacturers typically start coming out as early as September. This is nothing new.
