Props to Xiaomi did not hate the ultrawide even in their budget phones unlike other brands even their mid range phones they are removing the ultrawide camera..
Pity about Xiaomi dropping the stereo-speakers, but fortunately I don't need to upgrade from my Note 10 just yet!
I just cracked mine yesterday. It was such a good phone for the price!

Yup im still using my Redmi note 10. Some minor scratches at the back, but still good. With Super amoled display 4k video capable cam UFS 2.2 storage, its still very good for everyday use without lag. Im also using it sometimes for games at low to medium settings like COD mobile and Mobile legends. ❤
The other good one for Xiaomi will be Redmi Note 12 Turbo that with Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, will be launch globally as POCO F5
It's not bad but seems like Redmi has lost its high spec-to-price ratio advantage compared to other brands 😅

Yeah they did loose it. However their competitor realme did not. Their realme 10 pro plus 5g is a solid phone at 26k. And meanwhile redmi is pushings note 12with nothing to offer for the same price.
What other brands in that price point (aside from infinix note 30 which is good but has no corning gorrilla) do you mean?
One thing I love about Xiaomi is the quality! I have been using their charger adapter for 6 years now.
None of the alternatives mentioned in the GSM Arena website review are actual alternatives because they all cost significantly more. I ordered this at £170, as a present for someone. For a 5G phone with an oled screen and acceptable specs in every other area, for the price, is phenomenal.
A Poco X5 is £220 (with more ram) and a Samsung Galaxy A33 is £200.
Main takeaway is: This is the only half decent, 5G smartphone available from a good name brand, with a AMOLED screen (6.6 inches!) for under £200!

Note 12 5G is not that bad too. 😊 Very good contender for the price. Referring to the competition with same chipset w/c is the samsung A34 5g that is more expensive.

Watching this in my Note 12 5g and the only downside is the chip u can't play hardcore games in 40 or even 50 fps Genshin impact runs on 35 fps so not that good but it's fast enough for regular use and 120 hz refresh rate is great

Does anyone know how to get smooth animation gestures in this phone? Ik it's not really a big issue for most people but it really bugs me that it doesn't have that
From my point of view:
The downsides of the Redmi Note 12 5g are the chipset (SD 4 gen 1) although the performance is decent, but it doesn't support 4k video recording. Battery life is not impressive compared to the competition, night shots are underwhelming, UW cam should have been better & the macro cam is replaceable by a depth sensor.
How about main camera?, it is good?
The main cam outputs good photos during the day but at night it's kinda a mixed-bag.

MiUi 14 based on android 12 is stable. It's still updatable to newer version of HyperOs though
Never buying Xiaomi phones ever!!! Bought a mi 11 brand new on launch day for 900€ and exactly 2 years it broke…. It says system destroyed and u can’t reset it , and my dad was using it like a normal phone , it crashed sometimes for no reason and now 900€ down the drain… so bought him a Samsung s20fe and it works great

Redmis latest update left my phone in an unfixable reboot loop. The phone is cool but they do seem to be moving away from their value for money proposition.
Gotta do better on those updates...gone back to samsung for now. Samsung battery is pathetic.

The last good version of MIUI was the 10th version , after that they became obsessed with ios and trying to imitate it and that made it slow af and full of bugs ! i used to flash miui on my galaxy s2 back in the days because it was flashy and speedy and full of customization and indeed it became boring nowadays

I don't think that any redmi is worth at least 30 euros. My first and the last Xiaomi Redmi model was Xiaomi Redmi 4 Note. The first five months was amazing, but later started problems. Phone didn't charged. Battery was very poor. The caller could not hear what I said. And other problems.
I Used Redmi Note 8 For 3 Years & Have Battery Long Lasting Till Now I Have Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Not Disappointing At All.

I feel it is the most frustrating one. Bought them for my parents, so I used them for about a month to test them out. Their user interface is really annoying for Android user like me (especially those separated top panel, who the fuck need that?). The product itself is good, and the price is good, just the software is brainless (looks nice, but too frustrating- like they are trying to copy everyone's features for no reason)
