You certainly have a very infectious bubbly personality. :) Love the colorway of that first one you pulled out of the Hobbii package. OMG! Time for me to visit Hobbii again... But have to wait until the month of no yarn buying is done. :)
I get that. I’ve been drooling over this particular yarn for over a year. They finally had a sale worth jumping on while I was in a yarn buying weakness. They lined up 🤣
There's So much hobbii yarn I'd like to have,,,, yet again $$$pricey... I did finally splurge this year at the butterfly sale still more than I'd like to pay🤫🫣 got a few other too. Now I'm shut off til I use it all lol
Hobbii yarns always look more vibrant on their website than in real life. It is how the photographer lights the product or edits the images. I ordered several skeins of sock yarn from the points store that were as you say, "in your face bright" but when they arrived were very muted and dull looking.
GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE! Those look gorgeous and like so much fun! hmmm methinks I need to take a look at HOBBII!!! OH and I'm totally NOT sane... always I say that I'm a lovable kind of crazy LOLOL I do hope you have a great rest of your day!
@@anotheryarn I suppose that isn’t unusual. It is lovely, though. I did buy the Disco and those a really awesome. I’m pining for the disco that has two brights in it.
Might not be your monitor. I have noticed a color difference between yarn and picture with some of their yarns. It is still pretty and nice to work with but can make coordinating colors difficult.
@@anotheryarn if you take a picture of that yarn with a flash or look at it outside in bright sunshine, it very likely will look just like the picture on the website. Lighting makes a huge difference. That sweater definitely looks like an exact match with the website picture. :) Very pretty sweater. I love those colors. Definitely very intense colors. Too bad the new one isn't quite so bright. I take pictures of all my yarn in bright sun if possible, then with flash, then daytime inside with light from the window, then at night with no flash, just normal inside light. That way I can see what my project will look like in all the light situations is likely to be seen in. That can affect what I will choose to use that yarn on, and for whom. :) I have a purple merino/acrylic blend from ice that looks dark navy blue inside or without flash, but full deep purple in bright light or flash. It is fascinating! Took me awhile to decide to use it, making sure the recipient liked both colors. It is literally that different in different lighting. I love colorplay and lighting. I am new to your channel and you do lovely work. I love your color choices.
@@grannyt6819 First off, welcome to my channel. I greatly appreciate you being here. You are probably onto something regarding the lighting. I’ll have to take this outside to see all the differences. The yarn is still lovely and will make something stunning. Ok, with all this yarn it can make a bunch of something’s 🥰
I’m loving the 3 different sizes of blocks in these. It gives more of a randomness to the placement. The designer has a bag and blanket pattern using these squares too.
Hello Shannon the yarn is gorgeous…..but Hobbii can be very pricey, it seems like the ones I want to try are always the more expensive, of course we are always more attracted to the shiny stuff😂
Hi Shannon, thanks for the video. I love Hobbii but I have learned over time to order just 1 ball of something I have never had and try it before going all in. I then add it to my wish list in Hobbii and wait for the next sale and go from there. I have a collection of Highland wool, Friends Merino and Twisters all brought on sale over the years with this method. Yarn has no expiration date…
That would have been the smarter option. I’ve drooled over this for more than a year. I’m happy with these. Some of the other Hobbii yarns I’ve purchased were lovely, just not what I expected. These did not disappoint
@@anotheryarnI try to do this but then if it sells out I can't get more. I always buy enough for the type of project I want to make with it. Then if I decide I don't like it, I can always sell it and have enough for a whole project to sell, so more likely to find a buyer who also wants enough for a project. I decided I don't like to have orphan yarns, basically. I used to buy one at a time and it got frustrating because I didn't have enough to make anything without a trip to the store or trying to find it online, sometimes at very jacked up prices. Its the best thing when you find a lot of it being sold and can buy it all at once rather than hoping to collect enough for the project. Beautiful colors. That's neat that the colors you wear are the colors you get, or are working on. I noticed that. I think it's planned. Am l right? Or is it coincidence 🧐? I like the jacket you're thinking of making.

Welcome to my channel, I’m so happy you are here. I agree, good idea for you to not play with this yarn. There are other yarn cakes that would work for you. The Hobbii Cookie yarn is 100% acrylic and looks great

They really are. I held off for over a year and finally pushed the button.
