Raistlin was always my favorite character from Dragonlance. He got the short end of the stick and made the best of it becoming one of if not the most powerful Wizard who ever lived
Actually, Dragonlance is one of the settings in D&D. Elminster was in a different setting, called "Forgotten Realms". So... Both Raistlin and Elminster can be the most powerful Wizards in their own worlds ;)
Dynasty Girl the point of Raist is that he sold his soul for the ability to free people. He lost himself, but despite his failures and evil, he still tried to use that evil power to help free and elevate the poor and downtrodden (like Bupu) because he knew what suffering was like. And he even succeeded in resisting Takhisis, after even Tanis bowed to her. He is the ultimate tragic hero, and by far the best character
Not true he was selfish and more than a little evil(A major Narcissist) he only helped those who couldnt help themselves if they were flawed much as he saw himself flawed. however dont misunderstand he is by far my fav char from the D&D universe that is not my own.
I absolutely love Raistlin, and I suppose in the end he proved he was not pure evil. Raistlin was no hero though, how many times did he condemn his own brother to death? Its been a while since I read the books but I know at least twice.
Fortitude. Stoicism. Knowing that one is "different" and accepting that fact, reveling in it, and turning it into strength and power. Lyrical magnificence. \m/\m/
Currently reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight for the first time. It's the first time I've read any Dragonlance. Raistlin is just such a cool, interesting character
And through the looking glass I still fear mortality and its loss in the end Unlimited power in my hands The claw of the dragon ascends "Mourn for his lost soul He's cursed and condemned"
"What hath not the skin of my humility endured! At the foot of my height do I dwell: how high are my summits, no one hath yet told me. But well do I know my valleys.” ❤
Well, why not? Pyramaze (Matt Barlow's other band) Made a song about Caramon, aptly titled "Caramon's Poem" It was quite good too. But I wonder if they would ever make a song about Tas... I hope so c:
@@dynastygirl2912 Wanderlust isn't about Kenders though. That song is very much about our world and someone living in it with wanderlust. Yes, it's a trait very common with Kenders, but the song itself isn't about them.
I disagree. They should absolutely take it to heart. Raistlin's story is about overcoming adversity and going for what you desire to achieve in life. Then we can always discuss the level of coldness but this is, a good thing in the end. This song is still, very much a song I self-identify with today, and I would even say proudly so. And I'm almost 34 years old by this time. But, if all you want is the kind of home cozy family life then, sure. Taking this to heart is a bad idea.
I still can't believe Blind Guardian gave Raistlin his own theme.
aangandtoph4ever best fantasy book of all time ! That's like my opinion man!

+AMCmachine As is the character that it's based on.
Magnificent! Raistlin, Master of past and present, told by himself. really great song and lyrics
Victim of the past, master of the present, martyr of the future. ❤

My favorite song ever.
Amazing music👌
I love this song. It's wonderful and I love it even more after knowing that is about Raistlin

Wanderlust by Nightwish. Well its about Kender in General but since Tas is a Kender you can apply it to him

man this and the Russian musical give our mage a killer soundtrack
If you are still a teen, do not take these lyrics to heart. Trust me... For better or worst they shaped who I am today...
+RaistlinM21 I know far too well exactly what you mean.
I disagree. They should absolutely take it to heart.

@@Zeithri Thank for your guidance sir. I always tought the same 🙂
Caralho q música
this makes me want to actually read Dragonlance, only I do not know where to begin
Start with the Chronicles Trilogy, then the Legends Trilogy. If you're hooked at that point, go to the Lost Chronicles and the Raistlin Chronicles.
I started with the story of Raistlin, the book *The Soulforged*.
Dragons of Autumn Twilight is the first book of the Chronicles trilogy and the first book of the entire DragonLance saga
one of the best fantasies ever written!!!
Dragons of Autumn Twilight is the starting point
predicted stormcast eternals so many years ago
....Wow..
