Seeing all these positive comments makes me really happy. Saw the movie in the theater and it was such an experience, like I wasn't just watching a movie, I FELT it. It was phenomenal and completely made up for the not so great third film. Heady and layered but not dour and cumbersome, full of heavy hitting action, kinetic energy, so full of heart and emotion, self aware but with purpose, brushes with nostalgia while feeling so fresh and vibrant with some truly gorgeous moments. Maybe all the haters took the blue pill, or had their empathy receptors turned off, I really don't know. Some of the vitriol for this out there is just baffling. I was completely captivated all the way through. Everyone involved just nailed it. Just what I needed right now, at this moment, during these crazy times in world gone mad... maybe what the whole world needs. The inherent themes are even more relevant now than ever. It all just clicked for me.
And yes this was a great group interview, ha - it's just too bad Neil Patrick Harris wasn't present because he killed it as the analyst, so good!

It simply wasn’t good.
I can watch the originals and "feel" it, this one? The only thing I "felt" was disappointment lol.
Like oooo, the Analyst used "bullet-time" against Neo, kewl!! Annnnnd that was it.
The Analyst allowed Neo to negotiate with Trinity, while sitting down without thought of consequence? The "genius" Analyst literally admitted earlier in the movie that whenever Neo and Trinity come together, they wake up from the Matrix, wow. I guess he was so distracted petting Déjà vu, he didn't think of that possibility, yelling to the sentinels to _"stop them"_ at the very last minute because of plot, ha!
"Activate swarm mode!" While
Neo and Trinity ride an elevator, allllllllll the way to the top of the building. I'm guessing 'swarm mode' is a degrade from agents taking over. Nope, can't use that anymore for the movie because, uh, they didn't like using the old program....yeah. Let's not update the Matrix to keep Neo and Trinity....suuuure.
I've watched it four times on HBO Max, just to make sure I didn't miss anything, to see if I can love it, nope, it only makes it worse. I really wanted to love this movie, but it was just 'ok' at best. After the 4th watch, I realized this is an allegory for 'transitioning.'
The concept was brilliant, the execution was poor. It should have been on Netflix like Sense8 lolol.
Thankfully Priyanka has nailed this role..she has improved her acting skill -to be finally fit for a hollywood movie. I hope she goes on improving actingskills alot more so that one day she ll be deserving of oscars.

The movie didn't really hold up to the iconic trilogy but it's so good seeing Keanu and Carrie-Ann again. And the rest of the cast is lovely.

I really enjoyed this movie. Was super worried with the general reception but surprisingly by the time the movie ended I was totally satisfied. Returning characters were done justice and the newcomers to the franchise totally killed it, overall I enjoyed the story and had fun being back in the world of The Matrix.

First went to watch for Priyanka came out loving Jessica and her crews plus Jonathan.
I just watched the movie It's not everything revolutionly but MOVIE WAS SO EMOTIONAL TO ME. And yes I like the ending and that's what I was always thinking !

Saw it in theaters last night and absolutely loved it. It was confusing but complex and layered. This new commentary on the world we live in and our technology and entertainment and obsession with nostalgia was so smart. It was terrific.

The concepts are fine but they are appallingly badly executed. I hope people can see beyond their love for the franchise and critique this objectively... If you removed the nostalgia (Lana even insults our intelligence by TELLING us this is one big nostalgic device) it's a shit film
The comments are hilarious to me. We live in a time when ones opinion on what they enjoy is constantly ripped by people who have different opinions. Like we all have to experience a painting or a place or a food or whatever in the same way.
Obviously the Matrix affected each of us in different ways and we all perceive it in different manners. Saying that this film is "shit" or that people who enjoyed it must mean they have "low standards for depth" is completely idiotic and hilarious.
Maybe just try and wrap your head around the fact that beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder and leave it at that - but that won't happen unfortunately.

Jessica Henwick and Pryanka Chopra are SO adorable! I love them. So glad they’re in the Matrix universe now. I didn’t really like this movie but watching those two made it entertaining. Lana picked the good girls for those roles! Bravo

This Matrix movie is like watching a bad football match. When cheering for 1 team trying to reach its goal like trying trying to get the goal and at the end missed.This movie felt like that to me. So it's bad and nothing can change that.

Just watched last night at the theater and loved it. Watched in 1999 at the theaters as well and nod to the nostalgia and updated to today's current situation... Well done!
Much of the most emotional scenes were obviously with neo and trinity with some flashback scenes, but the one that hit me the most but not in a crying way was when they walk into the theater with the torn screen and they have Laurence as Morpheus on screen. Don’t know how to explain my love for that imagery

Matrix Resurrections is a very different sequel, It doesn't feel like I was watching a sequel, but it is. Resurrections is beautifully crafted, the narrative makes this film to be a tale from the Matrix... And I loved it! We can't compare it to the first Matrix when came out in 1999. How could we? Although, Resurrections is so much better than Reloaded and Revolution. Believe it or not, this film is a love story... I wouldn't be surprised if Lana and WB make the fifth installment.

It was interesting and had its moments, but to say it was so much better than the other 2 prequels is a blasphemy. Those were only bad relative to the first movie, by todays standards with how the average action/fantasy movie quality has gone to shit, those are masterpieces in comparison. Funny thing, the same people who dogged on the Matrix prequels including the new one are pissing rainbows from No Way Home and other capeshit dreck.

The movie was quite contrived but it was great seeing Keanu Reeves and Carrie ann moss reunited. Also having the adorable Johnathan groff in the movie was a nice addition to the cast.

Watching the resurrection was like being taken into whatever the movie was taking me. I was blown away because there was no expectation. The trailer helped of not giving anything away. But it exceeded my expectation and at the same time I was enjoying the same nostalgia of when I first watch first Matrix. Although at first casting Jonathan groff was a surprise to me as Agent Smith because I am a fan of his theatrical works but boy he delivered. I still got the annoying feeling I have with Hugo when he was Smith and at the end loved him to death because he was really a believable villain. Question is..will there be a Matrix 5? oh can't wait for next sequel and also John Wick heck yeah!

I watched the movie three times and I now feel better about it. At first I was appalled but it was good because Neo and Trinity were together again and I would watch any other sequels that they are in. Of course, I watch anything that Keanu Reeves is in. The new Matrix was awesome, I want to see it on the big screen ! Handsome Keanu is so hipmotisingly fearce I am so hopelessly in love with him , and Carrie Ann is the most kick ass classy badass lady I have ever seen in a movie I love her ! As far as the new additions to the family I loved all of how much effort and talent they all brought to the table ! I enjoyed this Matrix more than the last one , and for the record I truly enjoyed the last one ! All of the Matrix movies were astonishing films !!! ❤️I love the fact that Neo and his love Trinity won over all the odds against them , I guess the old saying love concures all is true , if you truly have a great love worth fighting for ; and I DO ❤️

Revolutions had a tragic but powerful ending of the saga, it was so poetic that I have never tought of a possible sequel, but I think they tried their best to create a plot with a sort of "lived happily ever after" type of moment. Altough the movie has so many flaws and incoherent stuff, I genuinely like it.
