    That area is marble heaven. That is everyone's dream come true. You are very lucky to have such a great area to find things you love. Why would marble companies throw away perfectly good marbles?

    Beautiful mason jars Rocks. You really make the clear mason's pop when you put the cullet, marble flaws and marbles in them. That is a really nice place you have to go. I have been drilling 1/4 inch holes in my shovel for years to stop it from getting sucked into the mud. It really helps.

      Thank You. It is fun to do this.....but the marbles in the Town Dumps I dig are far batter than this stuff. Like one nice Peltier Marble....or Christensen Agate is better than all these marbles. This stuff is collectable to a point..........just no marbles worth 100.00+ as a single marble.

  • @FreeSpiritBudgieLady

    Hi there, just a thought. If you collect the broken marbles, you could remove the back from a picture frame. Using a clear setting glue, glue the flat side of the marbles to the inside of the glass and mount the frame against a window. You then have a framed marble stained glass panel in your window. You can also do the same with the broken flat pieces of glass and use clear resin poured into the frame to set them in place. Either method would display the colours and texture beautifully when the sun shines.

    Wow rock, your finding marbles will never stop with the places that you have to dig the marbles. You have the best place I've ever seen when it comes to digging the marbles. I see why you like marbles so we'll. An you know many of those you find are an or would be considered to be one of one. Meaning that you an only you probably have a marble of that color or kind. You find so many irregulars that no one else will ever have that marble. Just because they were never put into circulation. That's just so awesome. You just have the best places to hunt. I know that there are other dumps out there but you have the best. Espically when it comes to the marbles. Like I have told you many times before you have the best an most marbles I've seen in a collection of marbles. We could be talking geniuss book world record here. Great video rock. As always safe an happy hunting/digging. 😁👍👍

      The only bad thing Richard....the marbles on that place are just not that good in terms of marbles. That is why I go to those dumps and dig all day for a handful. I may find one marble there.....that is worth more than all of these marbles combined. One nice Christensen Agate Flame marble or something like that is much better than all of this stuff.

      I actually fond some nice ones there today. Most of them are just average at best..but every once in a while you can get a handful of pretty nice ones. You know I would rather be digging older marbles like Christensen Agates. Some of those(1 marble) can be worth as much as all of these marbles....but it is fun to do.......and you can at least come home with some cool stuff about every trip

    Just be careful though with the water and you're hands with a few thoughts to what may be suitable, ie waterproof but workable maybe 2/3mm diving gloves but would spray them with extra waterproofing

    This video is WILD. There's so much stuff! You should think about taking a couple of those toxin strips you can get on Amazon like 100 for $25 when you go out so you know which water is for sure toxic when you're working in it. Humans suck sometimes. But watching you do this is so cool! I'm learning a lot everytime you post a video.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  3 роки тому +1

      Yea......all the factories dumped this stuff though back in that time though. The chemical plants in the valley are the ones that really dumped the bad stuff. I dont even think there was a creek in this area when they dumped the marbles. I think a road being pt in rerouted the water....and that is why it hit the marble dump. But it still runs into the Ohio River....which is not good. But....most run off......is toxic.

      Yea it sucks. That is why i do not go there a lot more. At least it is wet now....it is even worse when the ground is dry.....all those toxins get up into the air if you dig around and you inhale the stuff. Every marble factory that dumped stuff like this....did it pre EPA.......so every marble dump everywhere is toxic like this one. Even where that stained glass was dumped....id say it was full of toxins.

    You are definitely right about some people treasure hunting not being able to find the amount of marbles you do in one day in their whole lifetime. I think its about 9 or 12 months that i've been doing this going out almost everyday and i've found about 6 or 7. Most of them were surface finds in a creek after a heavy rainstorm too hahaha.
    Love seeing the squirrel man. Do you think he would run in a hamster or rat exercise wheel while your out treasure hunting? I'm guessing he can't have run of the house because of the other animals.

    • @rockscousteau

      The thing is this....if I go to a dump and get into a pocket of Older better marbles....like Christensen agates..... a half dozen of those.....can be worth as much as all of this stuff. These are not the marbles you want to find. You want to do what you are doing.....looking for better marbles. Believe me....if I thought these were good....Id be going to this place all the time....and not going to those town dumps AT ALL. This just makes for a cool video....and most people have no clue places like this exist. I am doing this for the videos.....not the marbles. Only that one bumble bee hybrid I found is even up to par. And Id say it is a 10-15 dollar marble. The other stuff......not so hot.
      This place seems cool......and yea I can find a few nice marbles there. But it is all marble King stuff....no chance at the really good stuff. Akro Agates....Christensen Agates....Alley Agates....Champion Agates.....That is the stuff you want to find.....and old dumps are where those are.

      The prices of this stuff dropped drastically. You can actually find it for sale cheaper online that you can go dig it....factoring in gas and effort. So many people have dug the stuff.....the market is just flooded

    Good Afternoon Brother . Great to see you again . That place is just amazing . I don't think you could ever get everything out of there in ten lifetimes . The glass and marbles are incredible . It's a shame you have to deal with the chemicals that were dumped . Sadly it is not just there . Is your mailing address still the same ? I have something you might like . Thanks ,,,,, Later ,,,,,,

    I can't believe how fat squirrel man got! Wow! Lol! He really bulked up for the winter! You need to get him one of those hamster wheels so he can exercise! It'd have to be a big one though! Lol! Have you ever found a point sifting in that marble creek? Just curious. Later. Tony.

      Eventually----It would take me all day to sort them. I am just putting them in jars for now. I need to have good items in the jars too. The only marble I saved out of this trip was that bumblebee. It was to nice to put in a jar

    ROCKS brother..nothing like waking up to A nice video from you, except we all are jonesing for El Chapo !! So is there a market for Error Marbles?
    Keep on truckin Rocks...be Careful out there sir.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  3 роки тому

      The market has been flooded with this stuff. I used to go dig it in the mid 1990's and sell it and make real good money. But the market crashed. Unless you dig all day and get a bunch of it....and sell it in huge lots....like half gallon jars full. It is not even worth it. It is worth it for me again since I can make money off the videos digging it. I would be arrowhead hunting and not even do this If I could be....but the river is up real high right now so.....guess I am digging marbles this week or bottles in a dump. I just have to do something to keep my channel going. Granted this is fun....and I will find a handful of marbles staying all day worth $3.00-$10.00 each. I would just rather be finding serrated arrowheads...LOL. Those jars I can get $50-$75 a jar at a flea market if I dont sort the finds and put nice marbles in them. But early on....I could get 50 bucks or more for say like a Blended Spiderman marble. And they are in this creek. I will find a few going there. But now those marbles are worth like $5-$7.00...that is how much the marbles prices dropped.

      All up and down the Ohio Valley it is like this. The Chemicals Plants are the worst. They dumped horrible stuff all over the place. The Fracking Industry is dumping illegally now....in 2020-2021. Right into the river. Chemicals plants--coal mining.....you dont want to drink any of the water...that is for sure.
