    The mason jars you make are beautiful and the garden accents of chunks.

      that is a Marble King Factory dump in West Virginia. They dumped so many of these it is ust crazy is it not. There are so many marbles on that place 1000 people could not dig them all in 100 years...not even close

      Maybe if it was an Alley Agate dump or an Akro Agate dump. This stuff is not as good. But it is if I stay all day and fill half gallon jars I dig. I can at least get some money from the art standpoint

    Amazing finds at the marble dump. Like you said you could find millions of marbles an cullet glass. An that's at just one spot you have to dig at. Rock, you have the best place to dig pretty much anything imaginable. You have found so many things from the past not to even mention your marbles or native artifacts that you unearth. I know it's your passion an you will never stop digging or sifting unless your health won't allow you to. I can only imagine what your true collection must really look like. I would say that it contains more then most people could only imagine. I've told you before rock, you truly rock. Your collection of things you have found over the years is truly amazing. An I've only seen what you have shared with us on your videos. So once again I can only imagine what your collection really looks like if you had it all displayed to be viewed. Rock great video my brother. An truly awesome finds at the marble site dump. Thanks for taking us on this adventure with you to collect all the marbles an the glass used to make them with many years ago. As always safe an happy hunting/digging. Catch ya on your next outting. 😁👍👍

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  3 роки тому

      Yea it looks great. It really isnt heaven at all. The ground is toxic. All this was dumped pre EPA....and all the chemicals involved in the glass making process were dumped too. The ground is probably one of the TOP 10 most toxic places in the United States. Maybe even top 5. I had to go buy all kinds of waterproof body coverings today so I am not in contact with the ground. Even breathing the air after raking can cause lung cancer. It is a bad BAD place to be. But makes for some good vids

But my dad told Me that the Male ones have bright red eyes and female box turtles have brown eyes and a flat bottom shell. I think you have the right to know since you love them so much!

This marble dump was a new adventure for me and I loved it! You live in the best playground I have seen. Dump digging, arrowhead hunting and marble dump all in your area. I’m living vicariously through you, ty. I miss you having your giveaways. Yea.....but it is mass produced Marble King 1960's. And the place is toxic with chemicals.....they dumped all that crap along with the glass and marbles. That is why I do not go there a lot. It is a health hazard for sure. I had to go by a bunch of waterproof stuff today......so I dont get that water on my skin anymore. • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  3 роки тому +1

      I would go more.....but the bad thing about places like this....are the chemicals in the ground....in the water. Think of all the bad stuff used in the 1950's and 1960's in the glass making process. That was pre EPA.....so there is real bad stuff there. REAL BAD stuff. Id say if you were in contact with that water for long enough you would have 10 different kinds of cancer. I am going to go buy waterproof everything today.....and try and not be in contact with the water next few trips. Just from my hands being in that water...for like an hour...I had a rash on my wrists last night. It is best to go when it is dry.......i should have had on big rubber gloves

    Hey Rocks, I really like all of the videos that you post. They are awesome. This video though is something I actually dreamed about when I was a little kid! Not even kidding... haha... I'm a flintknapper and I bet some of the larger more solid pieces of cullet can make some great arrowheads to go along with your marbles! Let me know what you think! I dont have to tell ya, but keep up with the adventures! 👍🤓🤙🏼

      There are even better places than this spot.....it is ust easy to dig them with a sifter here instead of digging into hard ground with a shovel. The only bad thing is toxic chemicals were dumped as well and being int he water is bad. I am going to have to go buy waterproof gloves-pants and boots later today so I can go back more.

      It seems like it is the best place to dig ever....but it really is not. It is mass produced Marble King 1960's in age. It is cool dont get me wrong.....but I have found single marbles on a town dump that are worth as much as a 50 gallon drum of this stuff. But it looks cool in jars If you have them...and I get those for free in the dump.....so that kind of makes it worth it.

      You cannot go to those places a lot.....because of the chemicals. They not only dumped the marbles and glass. They dumped all the toxins. That is why i do not go a lot there.....it will give you cancer.

      @rockscousteau  3 роки тому

      I bought some better waterproof clothing and gloves today......but even with that......you just cannot go all the time and expect to live a long life. It was all dumped pre EPA.....so they just dumped toxic sludge all over the area. Every time it rains.....it turns into a BAD BAD deal. I could even smell chemicals in the water standing in it on this trip from this last snow melt. Some people dig directly into the big dump recently and it all eroded out into the creek and is all caving into the creek.
